Talk about loving someone with everything in you. Finn is an Assassin a Cold Blooded Killer for hire. He was on his journey to becoming a member of the Marked Blooms Syndicate; an organization that he loathes with everything in him; but Finn is on a mission for revenge that was a long time coming.

Ramona (a.k.a. Kylie) just wants what’s best for her children and to live a new life. After running into a little trouble in her hometown she was given the opportunity to leave her life behind and become the wife of the Marked Blooms Syndicate member’s. She would want for nothing. She would have everything she needs for her and her children. There was a stipulation her future husband requested in return for marrying him and that was for her to allow sadists to take advantage of her while he watched.

I understand she was thinking of her children and wanting them to the have a better life but I couldn’t get onboard with the deplorable, dehumanizing, stomach churning, vile things she allowed them to do to her. There were parts in this book that literally made me squeamish.

Everything changes the night of Finn’s initiation and his and Ramona’s paths cross. At first glance he knew he wanted her for himself. Finn was a disciplined man and everything about Ramona made him lose control.

After waking up from a concussion sustained by being beaten with a club by her husband’s cousin. Ramona finds herself married to Finn and her children happy in their new home. According to Finn; Ramona’s husband sold her and now she belonged to him. There were times while reading this book I thought that Finn was just as deployable and vile as Ramona’s husband and cousin.

It was hard but I truly understood Finn's need for revenge. This couple had a rough start and Ramona had a lot of trauma to overcome until she could become Kylie again but Finn was there to help her along the way while caring for her and their children leading this couple to a much needed HEA.

Wow, i’ve been reading a lot of dark romances this past week but this book was wild! (in a good way ofc)

Ramona our main character was trying to escape her old life when she got married.
One day she wakes up in a place she doesn’t recognize, she immediately realizes she is danger.

Enters our main character Finn, omg, he is insane but will do anything in his power to always protect Ramona, no matter what.

Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. A dark and twisted read that drew you in from beginning to end. I loved it.

As always Audrey never disappoints with her dark romances!! I received this as an ARC and I was sucked in from the beginning! I love the writing style and way she makes you feel like you have fallen into their world. This is a dark romance so please check trigger warnings and be kind to yourself. If you are someone who doesn’t have many TW’s this book and any of Audrey’s books are a good place to start if you want to enter the world of dark romance. The spice is good I rated the spice about 4 🌶 out of 5 and an overall rating of 4 stars because I enjoy the authors writing style, character development and overall world building. This is book 2 in a series but can be read as a stand alone.

Wow! This one was action packed! Finn is literally the sweetest assassin and I’m obsessed. Ramonas story is a sad/dark one but I’m so glad she became a badass. I’m going to have to read more of audreys books now because the spice in this… was spicy 🥵 !! It was very dark which I love but it’s not for everyone!

This is the first book from Audrey Rush that I have ever read and it feels like an addiction. This book is absolutely fabulous and all I want to do is read more from this author. This story had it all it was dark and it sucked me right in from the start. Finn, well he was utterly brutal, but he had a very loving side while Ramona was a fierce Mama Bear who would do anything for someone she loved. They were both the perfect pair of lead characters. I honestly really enjoyed this book. Well done Ms Rush you wrote a great book.

Ramona became a Marked Blooms bride to protect her kids and provide them a better life. Her husband had some sadistic tastes, however only has use for her a couple of times a year. The quarterly masquerades are his event of choice to apply his sadism. Ramona deals with it, even though as time goes on the effects are hard to shake off (physical injuries, concussion symptoms and memory loss).

Enter Finn, an assassin new to the Marked Blooms but with a strong connection to Ramona. He wants her and he does whatever it takes to get her. When her husband goes away on a "business trip" and sells her to Finn you know things are not as they seem. Finn and Ramona's chemistry is hot. On the surface it is a s€xual coercion situation where he has control, but in every situation, it is always about her pleasure and working through her trauma. Ramona does some things with Finn that would definitely make me pause.

There was a twist that I wasn't expecting that made this a 5 star read instead of a 4. Overall, this series is pretty good and it is a refreshing change from the usual crime syndicate trope.

Broken Discipline is the second book set in The Marked Blooms Syndicate world and an be read as a standalone.
This is a not very obvious second chance romance with the ever intriguing environment of the Marked Blooms secret society as well as its powerful, rich, connected and criminal members. This is a story of altruism, survival and the will to do everything in your power to keep the promise of protecting the ones you love. As Audrey got us used to, the plot is tight and runs at the same pace as you turn a page, steady, direct and mysterious. Ramona and Finn didn't have an easy start and The Marked Blooms Syndicate was the only option for both, but in a very different way. This account feels like perseverance and redemption, promises and achievement, wills and battles and, most of all, feels like the ultimate sacrifice that would ever be worth it. It just seemed to me that the four years were not such a long time for Ramona to not remember.

Broken Discipline: A Dark Assassin Romance by Audrey Rush. OMG- this one comes with warnings, and you should definitely heed them if you have any sort of trigger or are opposed to sick and at times twisted behavior. Dark romance to say the least, depravity YES, twisted and corrupted characters YES, emotion and conflict YES, and above all intense need to be with the one who gets you. So many times while reading this, I felt like I was sadistic simply because I would stop reading but kept wondering now what, than I would go back and read more, I just couldn’t get enough of Finn and Ramona. My heart went out to each, I couldn’t wrap my mind around the type of world they lived in and what they endured or how they sought pleasure. Ramona would do anything to protect her children and Finn would do anything to protect her and the children. I would recommend this book and author to others looking for something dark and steamy with redeeming revenge and satisfying ending for all. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "BROKEN DISCIPLINE" I love this Dark Twisted Series you did an Awsome job writing this story full of intense drama, angst, danger, violence, betrayal, secrets, passion, twists that make for an addicting story.

Ramona wakes one morning to a stranger Finn Carter who told her that her husband sold her to him he loved the twins & would do anything to protect her but she knows he's lying he uses her past to control her.
Finn wants her mind, body & soul her head tells her to run even if he keeps saving her he's dangerous she feels she needs to escape him.
I definitely recommend to get this amazing well written story will Finn & Ramona get a HEA, will he get his revenge you must get this book to get the answers I'm so looking forward to next book in this series. AWESOME AWESOME READ! !!!!

I loved dark romance story. This is an author I have loved from the first book I picked up by her. She is an author that I never hesitate to pick up when I see one of her books. Her writing style as well as her attention to details make her stories pop and have a realistic feel. This book is no different. I was pulled into the story by the characters and their chemistry was great. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout the story. This is a well written story that heats up the pages and kept me coming back for more. The characters are relateable and truly made the story for me. This is a fast paced story that is full of steam and romance. A story where a husband sells his wife. She never expected to feel the way she did but it remains to be seem if she will escape or will she stay. This story was hard to put down. This is a must read story. I highly recommend this book and this author.

It's one of those, it's me and not you situation.

I really enjoyed the first 25% of the novel. I like the premise and the story was intriguing. I wanted to know what's going on and why does Carter have such an interest in Kylie. Unfortunately, after the 30% the story kind of dragged and there wasn't enough happening plot wise. Also some of the kinks were not for me. I ended up skimming through most of the novel. I do appreciate how the author doesn't hold back on the violence and I like the big reveal at the end. It ties everything together but it wasn't enough to pull me back into the story.

Overall, it just wasn't for me.

I received an ARC for free of Broken Discipline and am grateful for the ability to leave this review. This is the second book in the Bloom Syndicate series. It can be read as a standalone. Yet, having read the 1st book, I suggest that you go back there if you haven't read it. This is such an intensely dark, angst ridden story that putting it down once you start will be nearly impossible. The characters are so well developed in such twisted fashion that their sexual and sensual needs and desires are forever upping the heat and darkness of the story line itself. The brokenness of the main characters is bar none engaging in a depraved way that is enticing. If I say anything else it would include a spoiler which I am not going to provide. If you like darkness and angst grab this one quick. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you Audrey Rush for a true adventure in 5 star form.

In the beginning I was a bit confused about what was going on. It starts off one night where Finn & Romana meet and then jumps to three years later. And Romana’s confusion to what was going on didn’t help😆

When Romana woke up in Finn’s bed, she has no recollection on how she got there and how she came to be married to him. She can tell she’s in danger, but Finn is determined to prove that he will do what he can to protect and care for her and her kids.

Finn uses similar methods that were used to hurt Romana to help heal her. Their chemistry in the bedroom is 🔥🔥

About halfway through, I had a theory about who Finn was & I was right!!! When that truth comes out, they finally are able to admit their feelings to each other.

Okay so the book for me is a 3 - 3.5 star book.
It isn’t bad, just wasn’t for me. Some of the sexual exploits and words used were a turn off rather then a turn on for me at certain points. It is a dark romance and you should check your trigger warnings.
None of that bothered me though, I love dark romances. Sometimes I just don’t vibe with a book. I felt that it was well written and I only noticed 2 spelling errors. So nothing bad like that.

I will say I didn’t see the little plot twist coming at all. So that was a nice little surprise. My mind just didn’t go there.

But I really think if any of the blurbs sound good to you you should give this book a shot! That’s why I did and I think a lot of people will like this book even if it wasn’t my favorite.

A book set within the Marked Bloom association, a surrealist dystopian like community. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone book. A woman who has committed herself to this community, by marrying into it, wakes up one morning in a completely different home with a completely different husband. As she and others within the community try to figure out what happened to the first husband, it quickly becomes clear that the new husband, Finn, will do anything to protect Ramona and her children. Strong start, well thought out plot, well written. The only thing I find a less strong scene is when Ramona flees from Finn, her second husband, to her former hometown. I thought it was a bit illogical.

I've never read anything by Audrey Rush and I have no idea why. This book was dark, twisted, sizzling, shocking, fairly graphic read. For Ramona to support and secure the future for her twins, sells herself to a much older man and becomes his wife. As part of that agreement, she allows him and a secret society he belongs to, to do unspeakable things to her. Finn Carter sees her, wants her, and takes her from her husband. But she has no idea what happened, why she is with Finn, and what happened to her husband. This book is graphic and is brutal, but is very well paced, steamy, has crazy twists, turns, and some shockers. This was a page-turner from beginning to end and best of all, it's available to read for free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Even though this is the second book in the Marked Blooms Syndicate world, it’s the fist book I’ve read by Audrey Rush. I will absolutely be going back and reading the first one. Please check the trigger warnings, this book may not be for everyone. It is very dark.

Ramona is part of the society and living with her husband wasn’t at all pleasant. But one morning she wakes up in a completely different bed. Learning that her husband sold her to Finn, she fights to figure out the truth, how terrifying that truth may be. Finn is brutal to Ramona, controlling, possessive and will go to any length to get what he wants. Eventually, things turn and you get to see Finn literally morph into a man that deserves Ramona.

A true page turner, filled with steam, lies, twists and turns, torture, drama, suspense, violence and love. If you like a very dark and twisted book please read this!

It’s all about the trust.

Trust. Ramona had zero trust in humans. Finn wanted all of her trust, her heart, her mind. But there was a complication. She was married to a sadistic member of the Marked Blooms Syndicate. This was a complicated story. I was repelled by some of it, the sadism. But it was an important part of this story. To understand the intensity of the relationship between Finn and Ramona, the sadism was paraded out and proud. Finn never hurt Ramona, others did. Finn and Ramona’s revenge on their enemies was everything a girl could ask for and sweet to witness.

The intensity of this story was breathtaking. The HEA was perfect. Audrey Rush knows how to tell a dark romance story the right way.

Finn needs to join the Marked Blooms Syndicate. To join, one of the requirements is to sacrifice someone they love. Finn's father is dying and this is the best way to help his son and die with dignity.
Ramona has given her life to an arranged marriage with a member of the society. This was done to protect herself and now her children.
This story is about how someone learns how to trust after everyone leaves them and to learn how to love after giving up everything including ones dignity.
I enjoyed the story line and the joy of a family learning to trust and love each other.
This book has graphic sex and sadomasochism.
I recommend this book.

A thrilling ride by Audrey Rush!

This is my third book from here and I’ve liked each one a little more than the last! I’m going to keep trying out her books. This one was definitely my favorite!

This story kept me on the edge of my seat and had me reading until the wee hours of the morning. And then I couldn’t sleep after!

Finn and Ramona’s story was twisty and complex and compelling! It had some predictability but just enough to keep me invested in the book. The trigger warnings were justified and be forewarned this story isn’t for everyone! Definitely on the darker side but not as dark as Audrey Rush’s book Crawl.

I’m not sure when Zira’s story will come out but I will put that one on my TBR too!

After reading the blurb, I knew I had to read this book. I was sooooo right. This book is just awesome if you like dark and twisted stories. Romana was part of a society and that marriage was a nightmare. Then she wakes up in someone another bed and is confused. That someone is Finn and he loves the twins and he will protect her at all costs. So Finn even though he may not be an entirely good guy he has some good qualities. There are surprises and it is twisted. I loved it. The scenes were well written and they were very enjoyable to read. This book has it all. Audrey Rush you on my top five list.

What a dark, twisted story! I was drawn in from the beginning and had a very hard time putting my Kindle down! This is the story of Ramona and Finn. A secret organization with twisted men/women who love to “sacrifice” their loved ones to better their situations or just to have fun because they are sick and twisted. Ramona is a sacrifice who is doing this for her kids. Finn is out for revenge and will do anything to make Ramona his.

Drama, betrayal, deceit, action, surprises, passion, obsession & violence will keep you on the edge of your seat. Great story and I look forward to reading more from Audrey Rush.

This book was dark, no doubt about it. Please check trigger warning before reading. Getting past that, an amazing read. This was actually my first time reading a book by Audrey Rush. This book was well written, however the first chapters moved almost too quickly for my liking. I read it in one day because it sucks you in and make you want to know what is next. The amount of detail put into each scene (sometimes eye widening amount of detail) is amazing. The ending is exactly what I wanted but also still unexpected if that make sense. Overall, great! I would have liked more detail from the first husband to the second, but I understand why the gap is there.
Please give this book a try if dark romances are your thing.

I absolutely loved reading this book, the story was well written and the characters were amazing. The Marked Blooms Syndicate held a masquerade night was the first time Ramona / Kylie met Finn Carter. Ramona thinks she is still married to Bruce, Bruce sold her to Finn. The story had so many twists and turns, action, danger, suspense, drama, kidnapping, violence, murder, abuse, chaos, frustration, trials / tribulations, healing, romance, passion / lust and there was plenty more emotions on this fantastic rollercoaster ride. Can Ramona except her fate with her twins and Finn.

I love dark reads and I loved this one. It is dark and twisted and plays mind games with you. Finn and Ramona were just made for each other. There were twists and turns that threw me. I was like Ramona and was wondering what really happened. Was she losing her mind or was she drugged? If you love twisted and dark af romance, then this is right up your alley. I was shocked by what happened at the Masquerades and what happened within the syndicate. Ramona is doing what she can for her kids, it doesn’t matter how degrading it can be. This was such a great story and the first I’ve read by this author and it won’t be the last. I am going to read the one before this. I loved characters and her kids were adorable. Get ready for a dark ride. 😈😈

Ok so this was provided to me as an ARC for an honest review.
That being said, holy shit....
I really don't know how to go about reviewing this. This was DARK. This was CRAZY. This was EXTREME. But I can't recommend this enough. Audrey seriously knows how to write her dark( go ahead and emphasize DARK) romances. If you enjoy crazy possessive alpha holes who have you questioning your own sanity, i think yall should read this. I read Crawl not too long ago and it really got me into her books. I love finding authors that I never would have found if not for tiktok.
