Finn It’s true what they say. Possessing a pretty face has its perks, especially one I’ve relied on since I began modeling at seventeen. It’s paid for my college education and sent me around the world – all without taking a single dime from dad. But it never got me what I truly wanted: his approval. That’s the reason I’m in Stoney Brook, Maine. To make a difference and prove to my dad I’ve changed. What I don’t expect in this lobster fishing town is to catch feelings for a certain lobsterman. But Mason Proctor reeled me in, hook, line, and sinker.
Mason I’m a homebody whose twenties are passing me by. Something I hadn’t realized until I met Finn Caldwell, the pretty boy who breezed into town and hooked me with his smile. I want to be more like him; daring and fun. The problem is my dad’s lobster business keeps me anchored down in a job, a town, and a future I don’t want. I’ve played the role of good and loyal son long enough. I need to break free and live life on my own terms. But I don't have it in me to cut ties and tell my parents the truth. Finn and I may be different, but we both have something to prove. He needs to prove his worthiness to his father. I only need to prove my bravery to one man. Myself.

❤🔥 A great start to the book as Finn spots a hot fisherman complaining to his best friend of the 🐟🦞 smell. lol Poor Finn I guess he's about to get acquainted with the smells. He's in town to protest at a ⛵ ships festival particularly for endangered 🐳🐋Wales . Mason's first opinion of Pretty Boy was less than commentary lust and dislike come into play between that sizzles. Yah these guys have it going on big time. Ooh I loved Finn's thoughts that he thinks. Okay I love Finn in this he's just adorable. Mason has a secret passion but has never done anything to achieve making it a reality. I had to laugh in one scene where Finn meets Carla.. priceless lol. The ending had me GLUED to the book which I felt all the emotion the was happening. Wow loved this especially connecting to the characters. I can't wait to read more of this series. Dual povs included.
A small town gay romance with lots of laughter a few tears but a perfect happy ending! Two men overcome their self doubt about living up to the dreams of their fathers to find happiness together. Don't miss it!
This is quite the story! Mason and Finn are so much fun.... they start out as "enemies" and once they dropped that, their banter was hilarious! I felt like Finn was super swoony! During the angsty part, Mason broke my heart.... and then 10 minutes later Finn broke it again! For being a shorter book I found myself totally getting attached to the characters and felt the feels!
I really, really like this book. Finn cracks me up and Mason... I just want to hug the big lug. Their story is sometimes rough, sometimes sweet but always interesting.
Mason: “God, you’re annoying, aren’t you?” Finn: “But you still think I’m pretty. That’s a start.”
I love the friendship between Finn and Sabby. They balance each other like friends should. In the same vein, I love the acceptance Mason’s friends show him. Coming out in a small town isn't always easy but they make it seem like it is a cake walk.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Pretty Boy is the second book I’ve read in this series and it was great! This small town romance was fun. Finn and Mason are very different but were great together. I loved how both of them grew both together and individually and really brought out the best in each other. The dialogue is great and I was rooting for them to get their happily ever after. A great read!
I loved that this took place in Maine...just saying :). Finn and Mason couldn't be any different from each other if they tried...or are they? Finn is just there to do what he thinks is right. Mason is just there because he is tied there by the past, by expectations, by loyalty. Both will soon find out that there is way more to the world than the small pieces they live in and both will have to figure out what they really want and need in life including each other. KC brings the steam as always with a happily ever after that warmed my heart.
Short and sweet review: Mason and Finn were amazing together I loved the connection and chemistry between these two. While Mason and Finn had a bit of a bumpy road, these two get a really sweet and much needed HEA. Mason and Finn not only grow together but also individually and it's beautiful and heartwarming. I loved this book and I would highly recommend it and Ms. K.C. as a must read author!
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Opposites attract! Finn is in Stoney Brook, Maine to do what he thinks is right & to prove to his father that he has changed & grown up. Mason is tied to Maine with his father's lobster business in Stoney Brook but wishes for more. The chemistry between Finn & Mason is hot! There are bumps along the way for both of them. I loved this story & think it's a must read. K.C. Kassidy did a wonderful job creating this world.
Finn and Mason are two of my favorite book characters! The dialogue is snappy and totally reveals their interplay. They are so good together and it is a joy to see them work through relationship issues. Support from unexpected sources is also refreshing. It's especially nice to have family members accept your goals in life and encourage you to follow your dreams.
Finn and Mason are so good together. I love how they were both able to get their lived on track to do what they love. In my opinion, this is the best book of this series so far.
I’ve read a couple of books by K.C. Kassidy now and honestly, I’ve enjoyed them, so when I found out that she was getting ready to release another one, I couldn’t contain my excitement as it’s clear that she writes from the heart, but also about important issues that people deal with every day, especially when it comes to the lgbt community. I wasn’t sure what would entail with this book as honestly for me the title of the book didn’t exactly give much away and I know had I read the blurb then I would have had more of an idea of what the book was about, but truthfully, I like finding it a surprise as then I can be shocked and surprised by what the author has created. I found this one to be a good read, but I have to say that this wasn’t as incredible as the others I’ve read, I found it to be a little hard for me to actually keep focused on this and had to keep taking breaks, I know that this book has so much protentional though. I kept reading to the end as I was interested to see how things would progress and whilst this one may not be to my style; it was still a good read. I found Finn to be an interesting character, and not just due to the fact that he grew up with money, but due to the fact that a lot of people misjudged him. Okay, he knew how to work most people over with his bright and witty charm, but still he went ahead and tried to live comfortably by making his own way and that meant not by having his father’s money at his disposal. As for Mason I did feel for him because he was just trying to carry the weight of everything in terms of what was happening with his family. It’s clear he isn’t happy with the outcome of things, but still he just doesn’t want to hurt his family, so instead he keeps his hopes and dreams to himself. I do think that both Finn and Mason are good for each other and it’s clear that they help each other in ways nether expected the other too. Overall, it was an interesting read and I think that K.C. Kassidy did a great job at writing another lgbt story, I’m intrigued to see what else she has planned as I do enjoy reading her work.
Finn is a charming guy, he’s able to travel the world and live a very comfortable lifestyle, yet he’s a disappointment to his father, so he’s now trying his best to prove to his dad that he can do an amazing job so that he can actually work for the company his dad has built. With wanting his dad’s approval he is now in Stoney Brook, Maine to go and get the story so he can prove that he has changed just a bit. But what Finn forgets is that there is two sides to every story, so he’s in for a shock when he meets local lobsterman Mason, and gets the most unwelcoming response he has no idea what he could have done to offend him. Knowing that there’s more to what he first thought about lobstering he decides to go and ask Mason to help teach him all about the trade of lobstering… Will Finn be able to see both sides properly and the importance and hard work that goes into it??? What will happen when it’s clear that both Mason and Finn have chemistry together??? Will they take a chance or will Mason be too afraid to go after what he wants????
This is an Insta attraction, sweet and humorous story. It was not too long and I read it in one sitting.
Finn a pretty blonde model breezes into a small fishing town in Maine to take part in a small protest against lobster fishing and supporting the Right Whales. On his first evening in the town in a bar whilst bemoaning the fishy smell everywhere to his best friend Sabby on the phone he looks up and his eyes meet a gorgeous fisherman sitting with his mates watching him.
Finn and Mason couldn’t be more different. Finn is outgoing smart well travelled and has a cutting wit and all his clothes have designer labels. Mason is shy, grumpy, has never travelled and resents the sexual tension he feels towards Finn but the heart wants! As Finn gets to know and understand Mason he realises nothing is black and white and he finds out how the lobstermen of Maine struggle to make a living, coping with all the government regulations and licenses and just how back breaking the life is, often handed down through the generations.
They both learn from this experience. Finn, to have feelings for someone and not just hook up and to develop a better relationship with his father after he writes a piece for his father’s magazine highlighting everything he learnt in Maine and Mason to face up to and live his dreams, tell his parents he is gay and tell his dad he hates lobster fishing!
I received an ARC from the author for an unbiased review.

A quick and cute read about two men, both trying to please their fathers but ultimately having to be true to themselves, who find love when they least expect it. Finn is open, out, confident and well-travelled while Mason has barely left his home town and hides his hopes and dreams and sexuality. Instantly attracted to the gorgeous Finn, Mason is cautious of letting himself enjoy time with a man who drives him nuts in many ways and will leave in a few days. Finn is captivated by the handsome and built and somehow sweet and shy Mason, but doesn't realise that a small-town fling will leave him wanting so much more. Finn and Mason are great together. Just spending time with Finn builds Mason's confidence, helps him to realise that he is only existing rather than living, and allows him to give himself permission to do something purely for himself rather than hiding way and pleasing everyone else. Finn finally finds someone who makes him want to change the course of his life, and seeing the strength and determination of them both to meet in the middle was lovely and a very satisfying ending.
How can you not fall cod Finn & Mason, two very different men but two men who have chemistry that is off the charts. Fin is a model and an activist but he also is a man who is always looking for acceptance from his father when it comes to his writing what he never expects is to meet a man like Mason Proctor. Mason is a man who has experienced a tragedy in his past that has molded his present but he wants and needs more but how can he do that without hurting the ones he loves. Meeting Finn has him reevaluating everything in his life and he doesn’t realize what an impact he will have on his life until he is faced with it. We will watch Finn & Mason navigate through some difficult decisions but watching them overcome them together is fun to see, and all you can hope is that they can find a HEA after it all.
Having read K.C. Kassidy's other books i've been looking so forward to more! As soon as this All American Boy story was announced i was so excited for it! I knew i had to pick it up next. I got into it very quickly. I so enjoyed this story!
Finn and Mason's journey captured my attention right from the get go! I really liked the way these two were brought into each other's lives. Both characters are tackling things in their lives and i so appreciated the realness of it all.
The chemistry between these two was so great! I really enjoyed the way i felt so many things throughout with both Mason and Finn.
With Pretty Boy, K.C. Kassidy has created such a good read that you won't want to put down! I can't wait for more from this author!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from WordSmith Publicity / the author*
This was such a sweet story that I couldn't put down from start to finish and read it in under 3 hours. It was a fast paced, quick read but didn't feel rushed at all and felt complete. It was well written with well developed characters that were both loveable. I found this book really interesting from start to finish and love that it breaks stereotypes. "Pretty boy" Finn just wants to be taken seriously at his father's business and the serious "lobster boy" just longs to have fun. I absolutely loved this story. Normally books about grown adults still trying to please their family rubs me the wrong way but Masons back story broke my heart and I could totally empathize with him. The chemistry between these 2 characters was off the charts even though I would consider it low in heat. They were such a great couple. There is some angst but it is pretty mild an absolutely adorable HEA.
Finn Caldwell is a 25-year-old man who has used modeling to pay for his education and activism since his teens. Finn has a wealthy family, and his father has a lot of clout in journalism and publishing, but his dad was pretty embarrassed about a nude art spread Finn posed for when only 18. Finn refused to use his connections to gain any sort of favor after that. He graduated college a few years ago, and has established himself as a serious environmental activist and blogger, traveling to stage protests for animal causes. Now that Finn would like to settle down and maybe not model so much, he’d really like his dad to take him seriously for his journalism.
Finn has an infectious personality; a positive attitude and he lights up every room he walks into. At first glance it would seem that the small town of Stoney Brook, Maine was too boring for Finn but his first night there he made friends with some local guys he met at a bar, including the handsome, but confrontational, Mason, who definitely caught his eye, but he could tell that he kept his personal business to himself. That didn’t stop Finn from hoping that he would bump into the surly lobsterman again soon.
Mason has dreams for his future that do not involve working for the family business and he feels trapped in a life that he never wanted. Finn was a distraction that he yearned to explore but he was hesitant to pursue anything with someone who would leave him. He envied Finn’s freedom to be who he wanted to be, and he was in awe of all the places he had traveled and people he had met. Finn wasn’t put off by Mason’s brooding personality and he knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that fate had brought them together. Finn and Mason’s romantic journey entertained me, made me laugh and I hoped that love would keep them together wherever life might take them!!
Finn and Mason are quintessential opposites. I loved the circumstances of their first meeting, the grumpy/sunshine trope was in full affect. Finn is the perfect amount of charming and extra without being “too extra” and Mason seems the grumpy and no nonsense, but he’s much softer and kind than first impressions. It’s a fast, breezy read with plenty of heart and heat. I love the small lobster fishing town, east coast setting. The secondary characters were great additions, too. I felt the characters had depth and I understood the obstacles holding them back from their best lives. Both men have complicated relationships with their father’s and they affect their life and specifically their career choices. This plays a big part in their lives. It’s insta-lust and love, given that it’s a short book that felt necessary and while I’m not an insta-love fan, it worked for me in this story. I really liked both characters and I liked the way they inspired and supported each other. Their interactions and chemistry were great. It packs a good amount of emotions and character growth into a quick read. The characters, the setting and the story was extremely enjoyable. I loved this feel good, sexy story.
This was such a great book. K.C. Kassidy really knows how to pull you in and keep you wanting more. This book has so much heart, that I actually thought I was apart of the journey. Finn and Mason are perfect for each other. The struggles each of them had to go through in life made them better people. Once they figured out what they were fighting for. I truly couldn't put this book down. If you love a book with a lot of heart, and true life struggles with a HEA then this book is for you. It makes you realize what's worth fighting for.
Loved, loved, loved Finn and Mason. Finn is a model with a pretty face. He wants to his fathers approval, so he ends up on Stoney Brook, Maine. Mason is stuck… he is tied to the town and family business. The story kept me glued to the pages, serious loved Finn and Mason. I loved their connection and chemistry. Overall, a fantastic read! The story was really well written and kept me engaged, the pacing flowed smoothly, highly recommend. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
Pretty Boy is a sweet, opposites-attract romance that was very enjoyable. Finn and Mason are opposites, and their road to happiness is bumpy as they get past bad first impressions and get to know each other better. Together they face their problems and those with their families and find a new way forward. This was a sweet, funny story with heat and a great ending that was perfect for the main characters. I received an ARC of this book to review, and this is my honest and voluntary opinion.
Mason and Finn's first meeting didn't exactly go well, even though the sparks were flying. The chemistry was a lot of fun to read. I loved Finn's tenacity and I loved that the two were basically opposites. I also loved that the two together could help switch each other's viewpoints on a few things, and yet push each other to make some very important decisions. I loved learning about learning about the family trade too. It fascinated me. I loved that there was a lot of support in this story too.
A short and sweet story. An opposites attract M/M romance. Part of the All American Boys Series. One model who comes back home, looking for his fathers approval and one fisherman who wants to be proud of himself and tell his father working for him isn’t what he wants. Both men are instantly attracted. They give each other courage and strength. A quick read but definitely worth it.
This was VERY GOOD and STEAMY! PRETTY BOY is a GRUMPY/SUNSHINE M/M Romance between a grumpy lobster man and a sunny Boston gay model that does an article about ocean animal dangers. Finn & Mason’s love story was spicy, and at times hilarious! Would recommend if you want a fast-paced romance to read for the summer!
This was a sweet romance about two people finding exactly what they were missing with each other. While Finn and Mason may seem total opposites on the outside, they are both out to prove something. I love that they end up growing together and realizing what's important.
Really good quick read. It was another really good book in the series set in Stoney Brook, I loved each of these stories all done by wonderful authors. Wonderful characters and great storyline, great book.
This was an enjoyable small-town, opposites-attract, fairly low angst romance. Finn is quite funny, Mason is a total sweetheart, and their banter and chemistry are excellent. There are a few rocky bumps along their way, a little bit of miscommunication and drama, and a HEA to make it all worth it.
