Cami I thought my boyfriend and I were headed to a business meeting. Little did I know we were heading for a breakup and the embarrassment of my life. Thankfully, a kind strange is eager to console me. I just wasn’t expecting him to be quite so perfect.
Henry Call me old school, but a man that doesn’t stand by his woman isn’t a man. When Cami is left humiliated by her boyfriend, I can’t help but step in to help. I never expected to fall hard for her kind, sassy nature and luscious curves. She thinks I won’t want her because of her secrets, but that sweet little thing is mine. And I’m about to teach her how a real man loves a woman.
This is a sweet and steamy, secret baby, age gap romance. As always, this title comes with Khloe’s ‘Easy Escape Seal’, a no cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA guarantee. Contemporary Romance Erotic Romance New Adult Romance
One-day affair, and it's the epilogue a year later.
If you want to read a dumb and pathetic FMC, you don't need to look far; Cami here is the worst by far I've ever come across.
Her douchebag boyfriend, Tag, who also happens to be her boss, overworked her, treated her like sh*t, and cheated on her—basically, a walking POS. He left with his side piece after their (he and Cami) business meeting with Henry (H) fell through. Tag didn't look back and left her in a strange place, but thank fxck, Henry was a decent human being.
Then Cami found out she's pregnant with the asshat's kid. And she was more than ready to get back with Tag and forget every nasty thing he did because she wanted her kid to have two parents. What BS idea is this? 🥴😑🤦♀️
This is the type of person who shouldn't have kids in the first place. If they're so willing to ignore all the red flags of their partners and put their future kids' lives in jeopardy, they don't deserve to become parents.
She only stopped her stupid plan because Tag doesn't want anything to do with the baby. And Henry, despite knowing her for only a day, stood by her side and warmly accepted her and her kid. 🤦♀️
I think she only chose him because he's convenient and she no longer has a job to support herself and the baby. 🤷♀️
Restless is the first book in the new Rugged Mountain Ink series. This story sort of drops you right into the middle of it with Cami. She is twenties and works as her boyfriend Tag's secretary. She was hired by him when she graduated with her degree and they quickly started dating and then moved in together. They are out of town for a business meeting to present a development deal to brothers Maddox and Henry. The brothers own most of the small town and run several of the stores while leasing out the other storefronts. They want to expand the Rugged Mountain Ink shop and need some capital to do it. So Maddox is hot on selling part of their land to a developer while Henry is not sure. After less than five minutes they are both in agreement that they will never do a deal with Tag because of the way he treats an obviously sick Cami. At the meeting it also comes to light that Tag has been having an affair with his young intern and then all heck breaks loose. While Cami gets really sick it is Henry and Maddox who stay in the meeting room while Tag and Sara drive out of town leaving Cami. Henry takes Cami back to his cabin in the woods where he looks after her, and then helps her discover what is really happening.
This story was a fast-paced and entertaining read with a nice mix of drama, OTT angst, a little suspense, romance, insta-lust/love, family, and some sizzling chemistry. I am looking forward to reading Maddox's story next in this series.
Henry was such a great character in this book, he stands up for Cami through her humiliation, her boyfriend cheating, and a pregnancy. Think we could all could use a special someone willing to do that when the one you thought was good for you is not.
I love an insta, age gap book This was a little painful to read at times because she really is dense, pregnant and overwhelmed but H is pretty gooooood! Really, he makes the book worth it and I want to read more about his brothers!
OM drama, she is cheated by his BF Heroine is pregnant with OM ( i think this is my new favorite trope because if you love OM’s kids like yours, you are the Hero in my books! )

Awesome story! This is about Cami and Henry. Cami has been sick since she woke up, but her then-boyfriend and boss didn’t seem to care as all he wanted was to make sure everything went well with the sale that he was in line for. Right, when Cami was leaving, she finds out something and it is confirmed when she goes to the meeting. Henry is one of the men there to negotiate the sale of the property but when he sees how she is treated; he closes the deals by not selling and taking care of her after she throws up on the table and is left there. I love the ending as this is what you call a TRUE MAN.

A quick, short read if you’re craving for a sweet mountain man. This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I really enjoyed it. Henry helped Cami when she really needed one and she just found her boyfriend’s been cheating on her. And she might be pregnant. It might seem like insta-attraction but it wasn’t and for a novella I really liked that it wasn’t an insta-love, it wasn’t rushed. Though everything happened within a span of two days only.
WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Henry meets Cami when she arrives late to a meeting she and her boyfriend are having with Henry and his brother Maddox. Before Cami and her boyfriend Tag go to the meeting she gets sick and throws up. Her boyfriend leaves her in the hotel room and heads to the conference room. When Cami gets there she realizes she forgot the paperwork. When her boyfriend, Tag starts to belittle her in front of everyone Henry and his brother, Maddox tell him the deal is off. Cami thinks it's her fault because she forgot the paperwork, but they make it clear that Tag shouldn't be treating people the way he is. Henry asks Cami if she'd like to grab a cup of coffee with him, but Tag tells him she's with him. Henry tells him he'd better come clean or he'll tell Cami what happened. Tag acts like he doesn't know what going on, Henry informs Cami that Tag and the other woman in the room, Sara his inter where hanging all over each other at the bar. A wave of nausea hits Cami and she throws up, Tag and Sara take off. Henry helps Cami by pulling her hair back and rubbing her back. When Cami starts looking around Henry tells her that Tag and Sara left, she can't come to the realization that he left her alone. Henry offers to take her where ever she needs to go but she doesn't have any place to go. Henry tells her she can come back to his cabin at least to take a shower. Cami agrees to go to his cabin and along the way they talk. After Cami takes her shower, Henry gets her something to eat to settle her stomach. She tells him she's been like this for a couple of months and he asks her if she's pregnant. Cami soon comes to the realization that she might be pregnant with Tag's baby. When they get to Rugged Mountain Ink Maddox is working on a client, Henry tells Cami he'll be back. He takes off for the store to buy Cami a pregnancy test so she know if she is pregnant. When he comes back she goes to the bathroom while Maddox asks Henry what's going on, but he gives his brother a look no to talk about it now. Soon Tag is at Rugged Mountain Ink and he's telling Cami they need to leave. Tag thanks Henry for feeding Cami and putting up with her, Henry gets defensive and throws him against the wall. Cami asks Henry to stop, she tells Tag she is pregnant with his baby, he tells her he doesn't want anything to do with a kid. Tag doesn't believe it's his and then Henry throws him against the wall, he tells Cami to get her monkey off of him. Cami tells Henry she's got this, she asks Tag why he called her this morning. Tag tells her he felt bad for leaving her yesterday but now that she's pregnant. Cami looks at Tag and tells him to get out, then she thanks Henry for sticking up for her. Cami tells Henry she feels dumb, and he tells her she's not, she just wanted to believe the best in Tag. Cami tells Henry she doesn't know what to do now, she homeless and pregnant. Henry tells her he'll always be here for her and the baby. Cami asks Henry she thought he doesn't want a relationship and he tells her the thought of losing her made him feel like he was crawling out of his skin. Then they head back to Henry's cabin. One year later, they have a daughter, Raven and Cami's parents are coming to visit they are getting ready. Tag never contacted Cami never wanted anything to do with his daughter, Henry thinks that's a loss and his gain. Henry's built two rooms onto his cabin in the last year. Cami wasn't feeling well but her boyfriend tells her to move it and to get ready for their meeting. Prior to leaving the room she saw e left his phone open and se saw a text message and read it. Still not feeling well she goes to the meeting and met her boyfriend but he is acting horrible towards her when she gets sick all over the table. Her boyfriend leaves her and Henry the person they were meeting with. Henry takes here away to his place to help her clean herself up. After spending time together Cami is still getting sick so Henry talks her into taking a pregnancy test. After her results Cami feels she needs to tell her ex boyfriend. All the texts were him having an affair with his assistant. at work. Telling him seemed to be a big mistake but that's ok because Henry stepped up to e with her and the baby. Henry has never been so happy he didn't do the deal and stayed put and found Cami. They both found heir HEA.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Not sure what I was expecting but I was really under underwhelmed. Pretty sure I finished this book in about 45 minutes (no word of a lie) and I don’t remember reading anywhere that this was a novella. This had 3 tropes that I just can’t stand. Accidentally pregnancy (ew), insta love (I like fast paced book but this was beyond even that. Think the love interests were essentially professing their desire to be together forever in less than 24 hours and that include the MFC finding out her BF is cheating on her) and cheating. And I don’t mean the “ex” cheating. I mean the MFC was considering getting back together with her ex and within 5 minutes of him saying he wanted nothing to do with her because of the baby she’s sleeping with the MMC.
I will say, I liked the potential of the story. The author has some good ideas that just needed more detail and attention to writing. It could be a great story if they just took sometime to add to it. You can tell it was probably a 1st attempt at a book.
Cami arrives in Rugged Mountain with her boss/boyfriend to attend a business meeting. Except nothing turns out as expected. First, she gets sick thinking it’s good poisoning. Then she discovers her boss/boyfriend is cheating on her with a new coworker. Then she vomits all over the conference table and the business deal goes bust. And one of the businessmen, Henry offers to take her to his home since she has no where else to go. Henry is about 20 years older than Cami. That doesn’t deter him from feeling electricity when they touch and wanting more. A snow storm prevents Cami from leaving his cabin. Cami wakes sick in the middle of the night only to discover she hasn’t been getting sick from too many tacos but rather that she’s pregnant with cheating boss/boyfriend Tag’s baby. What happens next and how Cami decides which man is the right choice can only be learned by reading this sweet story.
I really enjoyed this book a lot. Loved the descriptions of the people (the good and bad people), Henry's cabin, the town and driving to and from the mountain. Cami lived and worked with her boyfriend/boss who, in my opinion, was a jerk. They were meeting with Henry and his brother about selling some property to her boyfriend. The morning of the meeting she was quite ill and vomited just before the meeting. Lover boy left her alone gripping about she better not be late. She forgot the paperwork she supposed to bring to the table and lover boy pitched a fit. Henry had taken enough of the arrogant jerk and stopped the meeting with no sale. Read what happens, there's so much more good stuff to read. Can't wait for the next book in this series. Written by Cindy :)
Sometimes you find out the person you know isn’t really that person at all that is Cami’s situation she is headed into town with her boss/boyfriend to close on a piece of land and he shows her just how much of a jerk he really is and always been, but she just kept overlooking the signs. Henry sexy as all get out mountain man who is there to pick up the pieces after the jerk of a man tries to embarrass the most beautiful women he has seen. Cami sees the truth with the stranger who is quickly becoming something more than a stranger, learning about each other has been a treat, he is right there through the sickness, and still standing right by her side while she deals with everything will he continue to stick by her side, will her jerk of an ex get what he deserve, and can they find happiness?

In this book we meet Cami & Henry. Cami has come to town to help her boss/boyfriend land a multi-million dollar land deal. Only to not feel good the morning of the meeting and to learn that he is cheating on her with his new secretary. If that wasn't bad enough the reason she didn't feel good is because she is pregnant with his child. Henry is old school and can't stand to see anyone let alone a woman treated the way she is being treated. After she gets sick all over the conference table he offers to take her home to let her clean up. The more time he spends with this woman the more he wants to. Can these two find a HEA or will the issues she is carrying be to much to overcome?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Cami feels terrible but has to go to the meeting with her boss/boyfriend. Here is where I had to move to 4 stars as it is too obvious what her problem is.
Her jerk-friend wants to buy the land. However, he doesn't make much of an impression when he is so obnoxious to her. Leaving the meeting, he strands Cami. What's next?
Will Henry prove that the mountain man is more of a gentleman than the dressy businessman? Where will that leave Cami?
I happen to like an occasional short read. I did enjoy this one with a good H come to the rescue. She let the man she was with get away with too much and at the least emotionally abuse her. Would like to have seen her a bit stronger. Still a good little break from longer, more intense reads. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
This is book number 1 of the Rugged Mountain Ink series and focuses on Henry and Cami. After a meeting goes completely sideways, Cami is left completely humiliated on more than one front. Thankfully, Henry is there to help her after her cheating boyfriend is a jerk and leaves her stranded. He takes her back to his cabin and they get to know each other while getting snowed in. Some surprising discoveries are made in the process. I loved how wonderful Henry was with Cami and how the only thing he wanted was for her to be happy. He took such great care of her and loved her the way she deserved after being mistreated for so long. This was a great start to the series!

Cami came to town with her boss/boyfriend, Tag for a business meeting on buying property, but all Tag could do during the meeting was talk down to Cami so Henry and Maddox canceled the sale. That set Tag off big time causing him to leave town without Cami so Henry feeling protective of her took her home with him. They talked the rest of the day into the night giving them each an insight into the other to go with the attraction. All Henry knew for sure was he did not want to be alone on his mountain anymore. A wonderful story of instant trust with protectiveness leading quickly to love. A fun book to read.

Khloe Summers kicks off her new Rugged Mountain Ink series with the awesome instalove age-gap romance Restless. Well-written and engaging from the opening pages, Restless is a steamy, sweet, fast-paced love story with a couple with Kindle-melting chemistry. Henry meets the young and beautiful Cami when she rushes into a conference room where he and his brother are meeting with a real estate developer. Cami's boyfriend - and boss - is the man Henry and Maddox are meeting, a man who quickly humiliates Cami and abandons her. Henry is instantly protective - and before long, he's not sure he can let her go. A swoon-worthy age-gap that will surely heat up your winter's night.

Wow! Great start to the new series. Cami thinks she going into a businessman meeting with her boss/ boyfriend but that isn’t what happens. She ends up in an embarrassing situation and her boyfriend walking out with the girl he’s been cheating with. Cami is devastated with nowhere to go. Henry can’t believe what he saw during the so called meeting. Henry has always led a solitary life and lives in his cabin in the mountains but he feels an overwhelming urge to protect Cami and take care of her. This was a heartwarming story between Henry and Cami. They have a deep emotional connection and so lighthearted moments as well. We meet other characters and hopefully will get their stories as well. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Henri went to a meeting regarding some land he and his brother own. Cami and her boss/boyfriend were there and she gets sick, which prompts the boss jerk to up and leave them. Henri takes care of Cami and after talking all night at his place, the wheels of change take over. Henri decides he does not want to be alone on the mountain anymore and Cami becomes special to him and vice versa. The characters are well developed. The storyline had the right amount of roller coaster emotions and feelings to keep you glued to the pages. Plenty of romance, surprises, pregnancy, big decisions, and much more. Loved their chemistry and strength as a team. Terrific ending.

This was a short read, but had all the feels. I mean who doesn’t love insanely hot about mountain men who saves the day? Within the first chapter I was hook. There was insta love, over protective instincts, and quit the surprise!
I felt horribly for Cami right off the back. She didn’t deserve what was happened in the very beginning. She was easy to like, and had developed into an amazing character by the end. Henry may have been rough around the edges, but he had a perfect Cinnabon center. I felt like how he treated Cami was outstanding, and how every man should treat their women.
I will be looking out for the next book in this series. I definitely need more tattoos men in my life 🥰
Fast, Flirty and Steamy! This is my favorite kind of Novella. Cami and Henry could not be more different on the surface but together they are so very right! Cami has been sick since she woke up, but her then-boyfriend and boss is indifferent to her and could not care less about her. Henry is there to negotiate the possible sale of some property. When Henry witnesses the way that Cami is treated, he is done and cancels the sale. I loved this novella for the fully flushed out characters in a short amount of pages. I knew who Cami was and who Henry was. I truly believed in their connection as a couple and their HEA. Henry is a super swoony guy in a rough grunty way. This was so well done I can not wait for the brothers stories!
I don't hate insta-stories, per se, but I do hate when there is basically no plot to them. This is one of those books. It also happens to be very over the top and more comical rather than romantic. The two mains literally meet over the MFC throwing her guts up and then she just goes with a literal stranger to his house where she is completely okay with telling him her life story. Then - the next day - she 'officially' calls it quits with her ex/boss who was banging his assistant. And the MMC just says, that's fine, I love you and you can live with me. That is basically the entire book. No build up, no development other than maybe a sentence or two, and no actual story.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Cami is in town with her boss/boyfriend to close a land deal. He is a worthless excuse for a man and she realizes finally just how much. Henry is an older man that instantly calls her boyfriend out and supports Cami. She has been ill and Henry helps her. It takes a stranger to point out just how much her life is fixing to change. This is a fast paced, age gap, surprise pregnancy romance. Henry and Cami have a whirlwind love story. It all happens fast but their feelings are honest. They both get a chance at a happy family together.

You feel so sorry for Cami, in the beginning, because she’s so sick. Then you feel even more sorry as you get to know Tag. Enter Henry, our hero mountain man covered in tattoos. I mean come on! He couldn’t be more perfect. He says and does everything right. Why do we let ourselves get sucked in to relationships and believe we don’t deserve better? Cami let Tag convince her she didn’t need anything or anyone else and now she is seeing things differently. This book is all to real, with all the feels and emotions of real life. We could all use a Henry!

This is the first in a new series and is Henry and Cami’s journey. Cami has not been feeling well and her boyfriend / boss is uncaring, he just drags her to a meeting where he is negotiating a sale on a property. Cami is still feeling sick, and her cheating boyfriends walks out after humiliating her. Henry is at the meeting, and he takes care of Cami. This is a well written fast paced story, with drama, secrets, suspense, intrigue, angst, and love, which leads to a sweet, entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I like an over the top romance. Like the more farfetched a romance is, I am with it. I was not a fan of the heroine. Like your "boyfriend" left you sick with a bunch of strangers and you still riding for him. He didn't even check on you. Like Cami, come on?!? Also she was living with her cheater of a boyfriend, so why was she so worried about her "ultra conservative" parents🙄. Henry saved this damn book because Cami worker my nerves. Tag, who names their son Tag, anyway showed Cami exactly who he was and she still was making excuses for his rude self. This is my second book from Khloe Summers and hope the heroine in next book shows more growth.

The guy blames her but leaves when the men call him out on it and on the fact he was cheating and they saw it. Literally left her, stranded, in the mountains. She gets sick again in front of the men, but they help take care of her, then one leaves while the other helps her. That man... he takes her home with him and continues to show her care.
