You never know what you're capable of until someone threatens your child.
When my daughter Nancy's principal told me she glowed, I was doubtful at best. Then I saw that glow with my own two eyes. That brought up a lot of questions. I'd always been under the assumption that Nancy was a witch with elemental bloodlines somewhere in her ancestry. But now there was a major problem with that belief.
Witches didn't glow.
But if Nancy wasn't a witch, then what was she?
Not that any of that mattered one whit to me, family-wise. Nancy was my daughter, plain and simple. Had been for years. And I'd fight to my dying breath to keep it that way.
I just wish I knew exactly what I was fighting against.
Witch of a Mother is the seventh novel in the Witch Reborn Series. There's no murder in this Paranormal Cozy Mystery, but there is still a ton of action, not to mention family. So grab the cat and a nice cup of your favorite brew and settle in to see if once again, Opal Ravenswind can save the day.
Belinda lives in a tiny house fairly close to McCormick’s Creek State Park in Indiana. She shares her home with a German Shepherd. Please note that any and all resemblances to Tazlynn Hunt, the main character in The Benandanti series, is purely coincidental.
Belinda White is not, in fact, a werewolf. No really, she isn't...
Another perfectly respectable offering in the series. If you already like the series you'll be happy with this. Paranormal mystery on the tougher edge of cozy - it is more warmth than cozyness as some butt is kicked and fools are not suffered. Good twist, well resolved. Gotta love stroppy characters.
Opal is a fierce protector of family. Especially her daughters. Nancy is her adopted youngest and has started to go through changes. Changes Opal can’t explain. When two steps how up claiming to be long lost relatives of Nancy who want to take her to live with them? Let’s just say Opal had some objections. The whole family and team did. Let’s just say, Nancy was not leaving the Ravenswind family without a fight.
Never mess with a mother's kids! Something is going on with Nancy (she glows). When Opal decides that she needs to find out more about her birth mother to help her, all of a sudden two women show up claiming to be her biological grandmother and great-aunt. They file for custody and Opal is fighting mad. I would not want Opal mad at me. Great story with some unusual twists.
Whew, no dead bodies, thank the Goddess! It's all about family, this one. Oh, don't get it twisted... this book takes you through your paces, and then some. This book takes on a unique quality, as magical as can be--like "once in a blue moon," unicorns, and things of that nature... just bigger! Ha, have fun, people. This book will have your protective side "spitting mad," as the saying goes.
If you like this series or are new to the witch story you will enjoy this one. The Raven swing story continues with an exciting new twist. We find out about Nancy and her families past. Looking forward to the next book.
Nancy is coming of age and with it are changes. She started glowing when happy. Now trying to find out who her family is and what that means to Nancy is very important. Good read.
At the beginning Opal goes to see the Bakers who are Nancy’s grandparents. The way the author kept switching back and forth between the title grand mother and great grand mother I got lost
My first of reading about dragons and witches working together. It’s a wonderful book and very entertaining. Recommend it to everyone that enjoys lots of action
