A Duke, a Lord, a Prince ... Three Regency romances to warm the heart!
Duke in Search of a Duchess: The meticulous Duke of Ashford is dismayed when his children inform him they’ve asked the young widow next door to find him a new wife. Ash can’t think of a more appalling assistant than Helena Courtland, gossipy busybody he steadfastly avoids. But Helena sweeps into his home and his life before he can stop her, turning Ash’s precisely ordered world into a chaotic whirlwind, and stealing his heart.
A Kiss for Luck: Avowed bachelor Lord Guy Lovell has no interest in the married state. But when thrice-widowed Gemma Cooke rushes into his sanctuary, needing rescue from a boorish swain, Guy’s outlook changes abruptly.
Along Came a Sonia Broadbent is astonished to discover that the suitor she believed was the dullest man in creation turns out to be a prince in hiding. Dominik has been incognito in England for years, hiding his true identity from his enemies. The only light in his life is visiting Sonia, where he absorbs her beauty while pretending to be the very tedious Mr. Townsend. A shocking kiss opens Sonia’s eyes to the vibrant man beneath the facade, but is there anywhere safe in the world where she can fall in love with Prince Dominik?

Duke in Search of a Duchess (3.5 stars) was a grumpy sunshine book that was fun and a quick read—Duke was a little hot and cold when it came to physical stuff which I didn’t care for but I liked the emotional changes as he realized his rigidity was holding him and his children back. It set up the second on about the duke’s friend in A Kiss for Luck (5 stars) which was my favorite of the set. Gemma and Guy were both likable. Gemma for her capacity to love and Guy for his sense of fun and hidden depths. I was eager for the book about the stepdaughter (Along Came a Prince, 1 star) but it was not my cup of tea. I didn’t see chemistry or relationship development. I found the heroine to seem so young and impulsive (not my favorite) and the hero was inconsistent sometimes harsh sometimes benign…just vague. I didn’t finish the last one.
Overall rating 4 stars—I only recommend the first two stories.
