Ms. St. James has written another entertaining cozy in the Witch in the Woods paranormal cozy mystery series. A quickly paced plot with plenty of twists, a few red herrings and this delightful cast of characters that kept me turning the pages. I'm ready for the next one in the series.

Deadly Cries is Book 10 in the Witch in the Woods series by Jenna St. James
This book was SO good! This is one of my all-time favorite series I have ever read.
It's almost time for Serena and Grant's wedding! So exciting, been waiting for this book!
Unfortunately, there is someone after the wedding singer! I love how Needles was such a big part of the story line, I am in LOVE with that little scene stealer!
I really love Shayla and Sherriff Alex's relationship and how well they work together. The entire cast of characters are so well written.
The mystery was well written and kept me guessing until the end.
The bachelorette party was hilarious, and the celebration of Yule and the wedding were written beautifully.
I just loved everything about this book, and I am really excited for the new crossover series coming out soon, with these favorite characters and new ones to adventure with.

Shayla, Needles and the gang are back- and just in time to celebrate Serena and Grant’s wedding- but not before the wedding singer is poisoned! Shayla and Alex want to solve this case before the wedding, because Shayla is determined that nothing will spoil her cousin’s special day.
Another addition to this series, and like the other books, it’s a quirky, quick read. Needles is on top form, and we even see a little action from Gran, as well as the wedding of the year.
Everything is wrapped up neatly by the end, though there is a small book hook for the next book and the author’s new series.
A lighthearted but enjoyable read for fans of paranormal cosy mysteries.

I’m repeating myself but it covers it all. I can always count on this wonderful series to be fast-paced and exciting. This is definitely a feel good series with wonderful characters and a great setting. Always an interesting murder and we're always learning new things about this magical place and the residents. Sweet romances all around.
This one had me guessing. I was convinced that the killer was going to come out of left field. Great deduction by Shayla and loved how Tommy and Gigi aided. Shocking ending and can’t wait for the spin-off series to be available.

Good read
Another great Shayla and Alex mystery with murder and a myriad of suspects. And let us not forget the brave and cute Needles, the flying porcupine. He has to be my favorite character. There is great humor, mystery, a little danger, and a little romance. And don't forget loads not magic. Highly recommend.

Such a fun read!

This is a truly magical series and I love all the characters so much, especially how all the relationships have grown as we've gotten to know everyone more. Can't wait to see where the next mystery takes us.

Twisted cousins

Love this series!

So again, an excellent story by Jenna; never can figure out the killer, which makes for a fantastic writer. But, the ending is just a completely shocker. Another great jib Jenna.

Serena’s wedding
Good mystery intertwined with lots of family activity for the wedding. My one gripe is that obviously Shayla and Alex’s relationship has progressed but we didn’t get to really experience it.

Another finish. This one opened another door. very good series.

As good as it gets
Jenna really craft a great story. Suspense, cozy mystery, romance and paranormal elements woven expertly together. Awesome reading! Highly recommend.
