Ms. St. James has written another entertaining cozy in the Witch in the Woods paranormal cozy mystery series. A quickly paced plot with plenty of twists, a few red herrings and this delightful cast of characters that kept me turning the pages. I'm ready for the next one in the series.

Deadly Cries is Book 10 in the Witch in the Woods series by Jenna St. James
This book was SO good! This is one of my all-time favorite series I have ever read.
It's almost time for Serena and Grant's wedding! So exciting, been waiting for this book!
Unfortunately, there is someone after the wedding singer! I love how Needles was such a big part of the story line, I am in LOVE with that little scene stealer!
I really love Shayla and Sherriff Alex's relationship and how well they work together. The entire cast of characters are so well written.
The mystery was well written and kept me guessing until the end.
The bachelorette party was hilarious, and the celebration of Yule and the wedding were written beautifully.
I just loved everything about this book, and I am really excited for the new crossover series coming out soon, with these favorite characters and new ones to adventure with.

Wedding
Wedding preparations and planning is stressful. It's even more stressful when your friends with one of the vendors and they get poisoned. Muse vs. Siren in a battle of who is superior. Only one of them knew that the battle had turned deadly. Actually, I think only one of them knew it was a true battle, the other just didn't want anything to do with the battle. Shayla was helping Serena finish up her wedding plans. Meeting with the wedding singer, Celeste, was one of the final tasks, along with wedding favors, the cake and a bachelorette party. Only the wedding singer had a seizure and passed out during their meeting. Poison will do that to a person. The details of the battle began to unwind with that one traumatic event. There would be deadly consequences before the wedding was over.

Another addition to this series, and like the other books, it’s a quirky, quick read. Needles is on top form, and we even see a little action from Gran, as well as the wedding of the year.

I’m repeating myself but it covers it all. I can always count on this wonderful series to be fast-paced and exciting. This is definitely a feel good series with wonderful characters and a great setting. Always an interesting murder and we're always learning new things about this magical place and the residents. Sweet romances all around.
This one had me guessing. I was convinced that the killer was going to come out of left field. Great deduction by Shayla and loved how Tommy and Gigi aided. Shocking ending and can’t wait for the spin-off series to be available.

Good read
Another great Shayla and Alex mystery with murder and a myriad of suspects. And let us not forget the brave and cute Needles, the flying porcupine. He has to be my favorite character. There is great humor, mystery, a little danger, and a little romance. And don't forget loads not magic. Highly recommend.

Good mystery intertwined with lots of family activity for the wedding. My one gripe is that obviously Shayla and Alex’s relationship has progressed but we didn’t get to really experience it.
