I don't deserve her. But I can't resist her touch.
Helena wasn't forced into the matching program. She chose it.
Bright, curious, beautiful. Perfect.
When they beam her over to me, I’m the middle of investigating why everyone on a remote research station at the edge of known space has been killed.
The station’s resident scientist is missing. I know it has something to do with the deaths. And I know that more are coming.
Can I keep my mate safe when I don't know who the enemy is?
The Xiltri Sector opens a new chapter in the steamy science fiction romance world of the Vaznik Warriors, a stand alone series in the Warlord Brides universe. There's no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA for each couple!
Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
This book is a work of art. Well, it's really, really good. I especially enjoyed the slow getting to know you. It wasn't boring, as Helena has a wicked sense of humor and enjoys teasing Kavok to no end. Kavok may be unused to human foibles, but once he catches on to Helena's tricks, he gives a good as he gets The passion is real, the love grows, and the mystery of a missing scientist engaging.
Volunteering to be an alien bride, Helen hopes to see more of the universe to help her make her video games more realistic.
Kavok is just about to go out on a big mission when he is informed he has been matched and he is to take Helen with him on this mission. Turns out all the game theory she’s learned is helpful IRL.
This was a decent plot with likable characters too bad it felt so rushed. More short story than novel.
This is a great start in the Xiltri Sector Warriors series. Helena signs up to the be genetically matched to a Vasnik warrior to help populate their alien species. She and Kavok meet and their adventure begins. I enjoyed how easy they felt around each other and how he protected her. I also loved how she teased him, lol. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
I found it hard to push through the first fifty percent of Kavok. Right around the time the story gets to Kavok shopping for fancy human clothing on the space station, the novel got laugh out loud hilarious, exciting, and much for action packed. And, despite an on line search for Candy Wakefield, yup, still no clue!
It’s a good story and romance. It’s pretty sweet. It seemed short for some reason. I wanted some more time with the couple getting to know each other. I did like that the lead male had to take his new mate on his missions. The female lead was intelligent and clever plus a valuable team member. Read On!
If you look at this story mostly through the brilliant and sexy Helena’s eyes, you’ll enjoy the emphasis on the SciFi and the mystery. She’s having the time of her life that only gets better and steamier when she lets hunky, velvet-voiced Kavok know she’s ready for more!!!
This was a really nice story. I enjoyed reading it. I like the characters and the way they interacted with each other. There were a few challenges, both personal and story-wise that kept my interest. I wish the story had been expanded on. I would have enjoyed it more.
Great start to a new series, I love the interaction and chemistry between the characters. I can't wait for more from this series. I received this book 📚, as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
This is a awesome story that was I really enjoyed and I hope you too.
Kavok and Helana, definitely fated mates is an amazing story. Helana is a natural at anything Kavok teaches her. I have never read a book that I did not enjoy by Ava York!
All I keep picturing reading this is 2 teenagers from the Victorian Era dating while in an insane asylum up in space.. that's literally how they speak & interact with each other. The only saving grace of this entire book is that's it's mildly entertaining enough to laugh at some points.
This is a very good, well written, SciFi, Alien/Human action romance. There are a few editing errors but they do not hurt the story. The world building is fantastic. The characters are interesting, well developed, and likable. Read and enjoy.
A hilarious and steamy romp through space for a newly mated alien human match. Helena is witty, intuitive and everything Kavok didn’t know he needed. I loved it.
The plot wasn’t real strong. There is a mystery on a swamp planet that doesn’t get solved in this book. Practically perfect mates without a Lot of drama.
This was an enjoyable and entertaining story. The characters were interesting, the plot was well paced, and I liked revisiting this universe from another perspective.
