Step into the immortal world of Midgard, where an ancient vampire king seeks to claim his mate — a beautiful mortal bound to him by fate itself.
Vampire king Vincent Strand spent centuries searching for his mate, only to find her standing in front of him in his home — but she’s human. That does not bode well for his kind, who can last an eternity. Yet, he is drawn to her with a thirst he has not felt in centuries. As he struggles to control his dark desires, he finds Mira has her own secrets, ones that hunt her for their own purposes. He must convince Mira to accept him as her mate, or else lose her forever… and doom them both.
Mira Khan moved to Scotland to escape a relentless enemy — her parents. She didn’t expect to be swept up in the affairs of a dangerous local mob boss on her first night there. Vincent ignites an irresistible attraction in her that she can’t ignore, and she craves him in ways she can’t explain. But there is something dark and mysterious about him, something otherworldly. When her past comes back to haunt her, he just might be the only one who can protect her.

Fabulous vampire romance!!!! When Nara Jade sent me a link to her new book coming out soon I took one look at the cover and the blurb and said Hell Ya!!! This cover is beautiful!!! I read her first book Burning for the Beast and really enjoyed her writing style. In Touch of Night we meet vampire king Vincent Strand he is definitely a charming sexy and dangerous predator who is king of all vamps because he's the biggest and baddest vamp walking! His people fear him because of a very bloody past and his strength and power came from hunting and killing other vamps. Mira Khan is hiding out from her overbearing parents and is lonely so when her handsome next door neighbor invites her out she accepts but little does she know that soon she will be used as a bargaining chip to gain his freedom from Vincent. All he needs to do is slip a drop of Vincent's blood in her drink to see if she's turn able. When Vincent finds out he's pissed!!! Mira could have died! When mira meets Vincent she thinks he's in organized crime and that he's gonna off her but when he takes her home she feels a connection and so does vincent!!! After waiting so long he's finally found his mate! I don't want to give anymore away. The chemistry is awesome between these two and the sex even better! Nara Jade is a fabulous new writer and her storytelling and characters very relateable even though this is a vampire romance. Check her books out! I love finding new paranormal romance writers! She's definitely one to watch! Until next time Luv's💕💋
I wish this new to me author had more books as I loved this PNR world that she is building. Vincent and Mira's romance was great,I loved how devoted Vincent was to his mate Mira. This book was a bit sappy and at times cheesy, but I loved it! When Mira was in danger,Vincent became all bad ass vampire and took care of the danger. Have I said how much I loved this book again? Nara Jade, you have a new fan and I am eagerly awaiting your next release, soon I hope!!
Thank you Nara for allowing me to read this book early!
This is a story about vampire met human, not ordinary human but his mate. I like the story in this book very much. It's not really complex and heavy but we still get the tension from this book. We will be following the development of the relationship between Mira and Vincent. And it is super nice to see how Vincent trying super hard to win the trust from Mira. I love reading their chemistry and Vincent is such a great man (vampire), knowing he is the King of the vampire but treat Mira softly.
I also love the concept of mate in here. How can they connect to each other and how fast it is they attracted to each other though Mira thinks a little differently about them. I also like the mystery element about who "threaten" Mira and absolutely love the action that happen at the end! although I wish there was more action going on but in this book I think I get a sufficient portion with a satisfying ending!
I can say this is such an easy read because I can read it fast and really enjoy everything that happen in this book.
Jade dives back into the world she created in Burning for the Beast and gives us a second book full of stellar world building, engaging characters, intriguing twists and turns and of course: a spicy, swoony love story. I was lucky to receive an ARC and I LOVED IT.
Mira Khan is on the run from her oppressive family, accepting a steep drop in lifestyle in exchange for her freedom. She finds herself thrown into a world she didn't know existed, full of beings that should only exist in stories. Vincent Strand, King of the Vampires, has been waiting a long time for his mate to stumble into his life - but he didn't expect her to be human. Or chased by assailants.
Or so delicious.
The story is action-packed and the steam is off the charts. It's a standalone that can be enjoyed before or after Burning for the Beast, but only with both novels we get the full picture of the world Jade has created in and around Scottish real-life locations, peppered with intriguing draws from Norse mythology. Both the main and side characters were well-fleshed and felt real enough to jump off the page.
An easy-read supernatural romance. Can be read as a stand alone or there is another book previously (though I haven't read Burning for the Beast)!
Vincent, a vampire king, has been waiting and looking for his mate for centuries. A king to the otherworld, he has a reputation for carnage and strikes fear into others. He's gone to witches and had been waiting to feel the connection he longed for. What he wasn't expecting was for his mate to be human.
Mira, a well-educated woman with a complicated past, has moved to Scotland to get away from her parents and their expectations. Brand new in town and taking a huge lifestyle change, she never thought she'd be standing in front of a mob-boss feeling some kind of way about him.
I enjoyed the premise of this book! The different take on vampire-human romance was a fun change to the usual paranormal stories.
I enjoyed the exploration of the mate connection, but I did just need to roll with it a bit. I do think if Vincent just told Mira about the vampire end it would have made a lot of things easier and she would have understood more. Mira to her credit does act very realistically for someone thrown into an incredibly insane world.
I think my favourite part of the story was Emi and Hudson. I really liked their relationship and Mira's relationships with both. It was a cute addition to the book and showed a very slow-burn growth of romance.
The action towards the end of the book is something I would have liked to have seen earlier. I think if the action - the descriptions and communication that was written - was the most intriguing parts and really amped up the book. Overall, I would recommend reading the book and hope it all the success. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Can you imagine spending a lifetime searching for that one that will make you complete that would be the sexy as all get out Vincent king of the Vampires who has traveled from one end to the other of this world, waiting patiently and other times not so patiently for his soulmate to find him or he find her but what he wasn’t expecting was a human. Mira is sweet, different from her family in so many ways rather than bend doing what they want, how they want, where they want, when they want isn’t going to cut it for her so deciding to live normal walking away from the lifestyle, they brought her up living and finding herself a part of a world she didn’t even know existed also, finding herself thrust into something more. When she is asked out by a man who then tricks her, attempts to kidnap her, and leaves her on the radar of something she knows isn’t human truly afraid but also intrigued. She learns there is so much depth to Vincent but is he strong enough to keep her parents at bay, will he believe the truth the witch told him so long ago, will she accept him…all of him, and can he finally have some peace and happiness?

This was a fun read! The book starts with Mira beginning a new life for herself with nothing to her name but her beloved cat and her steady moral compass. When a first date ends in disaster, Mira ends up meeting Vincent – a powerful vampire. The attraction between the two is instantaneous, but they don’t rush into a relationship. Mira is concerned that Vincent might be involved with illegal activities, and Vincent worries about how Mira will react to learning that he is not human. When it becomes clear that someone is targeting Mira, Vincent will stop at nothing to keep her safe. The pacing of this book was smooth. I only wish the vampire king got to show off more of his vampiric powers. The various relationships of the side characters in this book were also enjoyable to read. I was sent an electronic eBook to read by the author for a review.
Nara Jade is a new author to me and Touch of Night was an enjoyable read that offered suspense, emotional turmoil and action. Vincent and Mira attractions was strong and their chemistry generated lots of sparks. The storyline includes elements that readers can identify with and it makes the story engaging but offers a solid amount of drama and emotional turmooil that this couples relationship evolves into more than they could imagined.

I haven't read the first Immortal Kiss book (Burning for the Beast), but Touch of Night can be read as a standalone book and is easy to follow without any of the basic worldbuilding that might have been introduced in the first book.
Touch of Night is set in Scotland but with a Norse twist, and while the love interest is a vampire, there are some other magical races sprinkled throughout.
The story focuses on Mira trying to find her feet in Glasgow and the chaotic mess that is her life. There's family drama, a VERY bad date, a handsome man that may or may not be a mob boss and oops he's a vampire, but at least she's got a cute cat?
While Mira came across as a bit of a pushover sometimes, there were some scenarios where she really put her foot down which was great to see, laying down her boundaries and sticking to them. I also loved how brave she was when everything went sideways. It was also very relatable seeing her struggle to ask for or to accept help when it was offered.
The second half of the book is the best, where things really ramp up and everything that was set up at the beginning begins to click into place. There's action, there's high stakes, it's great!
My favourite character was Yasmin, who can absolutely step on me anytime she likes.
Vampire king Vincent Strand longed to find his mate. But he finds Mira Khan is a human. He feels a strong desire for her, and she knows he is something “more” yet is not afraid of him. Will he convince her to become his mate? Or will he lose her to forces she cannot fight on her own?
This book was fantastic! Great storyline and world building. The suspense was edge of your seat! The characters were well thought out and engaging. I love vampire romances and this one was so good! I can't wait for the next book!
I got this book as an ARC and I really liked it! The story was interesting and the magical world was cool! I really liked the MMC but found the FMC a little whiny! Overall a good book and I’d read more from this author for sure!
I loved this story that sees a powerful vampire find his fragile human mate. After centuries alone with little hope, Vincent now must charm this woman and hope she can accept his nature. I was so swept away by their story which starts with his protective behaviour after she is offered as a gift. This warmed my heart just as much as the vampires which was thawed by his love. I felt each emotion with such intensity as we are are shown what this means to them. Vincent accepts that his death will come with the end of her life and seems pleased that this chapter of his life will end. I was so overwhelmed by the pure love that is found within the words and the talent that made this story so heart wrenching yet so extraordinary. A brilliant book that made an insomniac out of me so I could finish it quickly. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fantastic vampire romance with Vincent who is the vampire king and Mira a human. Vincent has been looking for his mate for centuries he doesn’t find her but she finds him but Mira is human and that brings a whole new set of problems for the both of them. Sorry guys no spoilers so read the blurb to this fantastic story and that will give you the gist to this story, this is my 1st read and review for this author and I can’t wait to read more and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
I received a copy of a free ARC of this in exchange for an honest review.
well, that escalated quickly, got to be the fastest hookup I have seen in literature. but it is wish fulfillment and boy does it fulfill. pretty good climax [imagine that in an Underworld movie] but you get what you really came for hot sex with a vampire bathing in wealth that is at the very least pleasant. so...
I would like to give this book a 3.95 or something because I really liked it! The H and the h actually had chemistry even though Mira acted like a bitch sometimes I still liked this. Nara Jade is a new author and will definitely slowly grow in her writing and I can't for for that to happen because her starting books are so amazing so I can't even tell how amazing and mind blowing her future books will be! This was a good read and definitely can become your comfort easy going to book :)
I am always on the lookout for a great paranormal romance and this definitely checked all the boxes for me! Sign me up! Vincent waits for what feels like eternity for his mate. Then, Mira finds herself in his club, in his presence, and Vincent realizes he’s found his mate! Mira is not sure what to make of Vincent except that he’s probably dangerous and she is incredibly attracted to him. Things start to go a little sideways from here on out. Vincent is extremely protective of his human mate and will do pretty much anything to keep her safe. He also realizes early on that he is not the only one hiding something from the other and tries to get Mira to trust him in order to shield her. I love that he is both fierce and intimidating to others but, almost gentle with Mira. Mira is trying to process all of the changes and these new feelings…you know, the feelings having to do with a sexy vampire who wants to be with her as long as he can. I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved the characters, the Norse mythology pieces that are included, and I thought it was a great pace for a standalone.
Quick Notes: Paranormal Romance Ancient Vampires Vampire mates (sort of a fated mates situation) Steamy! Standalone Instant attraction
Some of my favorite things: Vincent. That’s it. Lol Chemistry between Mira and Vincent. Loved that it was set in Scotland.
A couple of my favorite quotes: “Goodnight, other half of my soul,” he whispered to the night. He’d have to try again. Woo her, please her, fulfill her every desire until she could not live without him. “You’re always watching me eat. Do you intend to make a meal out of me?” Mira pointed her now-half eaten danish in his direction. A soft smile graced his features. “No, you simply look really cute when you eat.”

The story idea was great. The beginning was jumbled and chaotic. I didn’t connect, I felt like I missed the first chapter and actually checked. The vampire was a wet noodle in my opinion and the woman was blah

Another fantastic instalment in the Immortal Kiss series. Deliciously dark and dangerous. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend.
