i had always tried to do bible reading plans or what have you, and could never finish them. (the bible is long!!) so at the beginning of 2021, starting in the new testament, i read one chapter a day. i skipped a lot of days, and read two some days. there were whole months that i skipped. but i finally didn’t confine myself to a time limit. i just read the last of malachi, which means that for the first time in my life, i’ve READ THE ENTIRE BIBLE!!
it took me long enough. gonna have to figure out what to do next. but i’m amped about this.
For a second time, I used the “52-Week Bible Reading plan” that I found on the Ligonier website to read through the Bible in a year. Each day of the week is dedicated to a different genre: Epistles, Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy and Gospels. I especially enjoy using a single column, English Standard Version.
Reading through the Bible has become a delight and pleasure. My hunger for God’s Word increases as I read and digest it!
The Bible never receives less than 5 stars! ;) So thankful for another year reading through. Excited to study slowly in 2024 before reading whole again another year. I’m so thankful for all the Lord continues to teach me through his word.
Although I don’t love this translation I completed it for the second time doing it with the HeartDive study… In the past, I used it with The Bible Recap. I definitely recommend both studies!
