Update:
I continue to make absolutely fantastic meals from the recipes in this book. One of my all-time favourite cookbooks!

Old Review:
I ordered this book at the same time I ordered Clay-Pot Cooking by Jennie Shapter. Chinese Casserole Cookery is a great little book of tasty recipes and excellent how-to info. It doesn't have many photos though and those are in black and white.

Compare to Clay-Pot Cooking which is dazzling with photos, but I'm searching for a recipe I'd actually like to try with my clay pot--though there are a number of clay-pot recipes, many of the recipes don't actually seem to require a clay pot. A regular old casserole or earthenware dish should do.

For clay pot cooking I highly recommend Chinese Casserole Cookery; for eye-candy and many recipes that really don't require a clay pot you might want to go with Shapter's book.
