From bestselling poet Samantha King Holmes and New York Times bestselling author r.h. Sin comes a collection of poetry, prose, and photography that proves love is infinite and ever changing.
This is a seven-year tapestry of love, adventure, enlightenment, and progression. A collection of moments sewn together with poetry and prose, memories and musings.
Anywho, I Love You is a window into what we have seen and what we have felt throughout our journey as lovers, parents, authors, and artists.
This was a sweet collection of poems that were an ode to r.h. sin and Samantha Holmes's family and son. It was sweet and there were some wonderful poems sprinkled among the photos. I really enjoyed reading this on Christmas day. It was a sweet collection about letting go of love to find forever love and building a family.
I’m thinking more along the lines of 4.4:5 actually. Truly some of the best I’ve read from either poet so far. The love they have for each other and their newly formed family is beautiful to read. It almost feels like we shouldn’t be allowed to read these emotions. The pictures our gorgeous but do happen to make this feel like Instagram inspirational poetry even more than before. I’m also a little peeved that this won’t be able to sit with my other collections from Sin and Holmes.
I love when I get my hands on a poetry book that not only becomes a part of my self-learning but speaks to my soul. When it comes to poetry, I feel that it becomes hard not rate it high especially because it’s a form of art. Regardless of that I think that this book was beautifully written. I love when a writer opens the doors to their lives. I really felt like I was a part of their journey in some sense through their words and photographs. There’s not much to say when you rank a book a 5/5 but I think what I’ll do is share some of the poetry that they wrote that really called out to me. “The idea of you inspired God to make woman.” Sometimes it only takes a couple words to reach an audience and I think that when a writer is capable of doing so it shows the meaning behind their words and how much it can affect others. I mean those words are words of love and being that many people with heartbreak will be reading this book shows just what a man or woman you’re looking for should view you as. But also knowing he’s speaking of his wife makes you wish for nothing but the best within their relationship. Samantha King Holmes tells a beautiful story with her pregnancy. I mean if you are a woman who hopes to someday experience pregnancy or is experiencing it while reading this book, I think it only makes you fall in love with process of one day or currently being able to be a part of the creation of your child and even through the turbulence how it’s still such a beautiful and worth it experience. When poets open to their vulnerability and their struggles there’s nothing much you can do but respect their writing and what they are saying. I think the poets really wanted this book to reach out to people and help them in any way possible and from my perspective they did just that. -Eliana
What a cute little book showing off this beautiful relationship! The poetry was great, the love was really jumping off the pages while reading. I honestly never knew these two were married, let alone had 2 children together! Why does it seem like a perfect fit? Their words just go so well together, they’re so similar in the writing yet so different.
I absolutely loved getting to read this book and getting a glimpse of their adorable relationship together. I can only hope my fiancé can ever give me this type of undeniable love these two have for each other. UGH I just cannot get over this adorable story. And those pictures? WOW.
Very beautiful poems. Some felt like a warm hug from someone you love. Others felt like that hug being taken away from you. C’est la vie. I loved how the book was written in a way that takes you through the journey of the authors’ love, challenges, new life, etc. It takes a special/talented author(s) to convey such deep and contrasting emotions. Also, the photography throughout was beautiful and comforting all at the same time.
R.H. Sin is a favorite of mine. I enjoyed this book. I finished it in one sitting, there was no way I wasn't lol. It read so well. I honestly loved it. The pictures were great. this book was a great experience! 5 stars!
After picking up this book and leafing through it at the store, I thought it had potential. However, this ended up being a collection of poorly printed crappy phone pictures as well as highly disorganized poetry (if you could even call it poetry??). Nope. Not to my liking.
I picked this up from the library because of the pictures. I am not really a poetry person but I appreciated the way the poems told a story throughout the book. The library book had two (nonconsecutive) pages ripped out and I am very curious why/what was on them.
the beauty it is to be loved by poets and to have parents as poets ㅡ this book is immaculate. it feels like a warm hug from a gentle soul. i appreciate the journey and love as well as photographs. r.h. sin. my favorite author.
I just started reading poetry and I love this author, of course I have to try others but this book is very well written. The love shared is beautiful. A good read for sure!
The pictures and poems did not mesh well for me, nor did the combination of their work. Although I connected to a few poems by Samantha, the other 95% is not noteworthy and felt misplaced.
It is written by multiple authors in case you get confused by some poems. But such a sweetheart book about true love, very wholesome and touching seeing their stories be shared. The imaginary is amazing.
Pictures + verbiage - neither particularly compelling on their own and the combination doesn't get you very far either. 2025 - Revisiting - sadly nothing much better found: Words and pictures not much interest
A cute look into the poets family with photos and her journey to finding healthy love, support and a family within her husband and kids. Cute read easy to knock out in a night
I've loved R H Sin's poetry since I was 15 & ten years later I can honestly say they've only gotten better! This book is affirming and full of the consistent warm love we all search for.
