Solid book if you are a newbie and are keen on reading how to books. (Not many are!) I think people usually learn by doing trial and error - that is how I learned it. This said, I read it as a refresher to fill in gaps in my knowledge of the program. I would recommend to use it while learning as a companion….reading it on its own will get you lost and confused.
Loved this book. I’ve been using Sketchup for 4 years and Layout for 2 years. I thought I was doing pretty well but there were tons of tips, hacks and efficiencies I was able to implement throughout the reading of this book. I know this will be a very useful desk reference for years to come.
