Christmas, a time for family, cheer and Joy getting her groove back. It’s nearly Christmas and the Hart brothers and their families are getting ready for another loud, crazy and wonderful holiday. But when they show up at their mother’s house with a freshly cut tree in tow, they’re in for a surprise nobody ever expected. After losing her husband thirty years ago, Joy Hart raised her four sons on her own, got her doctorate, and became an accomplished sex and relationship therapist. As much as she loves being a nana, a mom, and a mother-in-law, she’s far from dead and wants more in her life. For a long time, she pretended she was satisfied with the flings she had while away at conferences. Love was not on her radar. But a chance meeting with a dashing man has opened this Hart’s heart to new possibilities. Too bad her sons aren’t on board with the new man in their mother’s life. They’re giving Grant the gears and think he’s all wrong for their mother—for their family. He has no place at their Christmas dinner table, and the Harty Boys are determined to get the dirt on Grant before the timer on the oven says the turkey is done. Will Brock, Chase, Rex and Heath take things too far and ruin Christmas for everyone with their stubborn, meddling, alpha ways? Or will Grant save the day, save Christmas and prove to everyone that Joy deserves a happily ever after just like the rest of them?

Trigger warning : miscarriage

All (Brock, Krista, Chase, Stacey, Rex, Lydia, Heath, Pasha, Joy and Grant) ** This is the fifth book in the Harty Boys Series. It’s highly recommended to read the Harty Boys quartet first. But not every Hart found their soulmate, so I thought why not give Joy the happily ever after she deserves too? So grab your rum and eggnog, put your fuzzy slippers up, get cozy by the fire and dive into a fun, read featuring your favorite family at Christmas time.

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! It's just amazing to get additional stories of the Hart brothers and their mum, Joy, and revisit them with how their life is going on now. And of course, Joy's own happily ever after. Such a great ending to an amazing series! I'm so sad to see this series end, but looking forward to more from Whitley.

Full Hart not only gives us Christmas with the Hart family but also gives us the love story for the one woman who has been their cheerleader from the start, Joy. However with four alpha males for sons who are overly protective of their mother, falling in love might not be an easy path to take. As Grant faces all the road blocks that are placed in front of him by the Hart boys, especially Brock, he will need to prove to him and the rest of the guys that he that only desire is to ensure that Joy is happy. Brock will frustrate you at times with his hard headed ways and not being able to see what happiness that Grant brings his mother. Their story had ups and downs, laughter and plenty of emotional moments. It gave us a glimpse into the progress of the Hart families to see all the changes that they had been through over time. This story is literally full of heart, not only with the family surname but with the relationships and their dedication to each other. A beautiful way to end this series even though I am sorry it is finally over.

5 Star review of Full Hart (The Harty Boys #5) by Whitley Cox

Christmas is my favourite time of the year. It’s a time for family and friends to come together and for the Hart family we get Joy, the matriarch's story and the man who has captured her heart, Grant.
Although you could read this book as a standalone, I believe that you will get a better appreciation of this wonderful series if you were to read the previous books first.

When Brock, Chase, Rex, Heath and their families arrive at their mothers house with a Christmas tree they are in for one heck of a shock. Turns out Joy has a man in her life and none of her sons are happy to hear the news. Watching the boys do what they do best and trying to uncover Grant’s secrets was entertaining.
This was an entertaining, funny, at times emotional read that ticked all the boxes for me. I adore Joy Hart, her unwavering support for her sons and her extended family is heart warming and I was so excited when I learnt she would get her own story. What I really enjoyed was how Grant held his own against the Hart men; I fell hard and fast for Grant, he was swoon worthy and just the man for Joy.
Will the brothers behaviour ruin Christmas or will the magic of the season bring them all together?
Beautifully written, with characters whom I adore, this book was everything I was hoping it would be and more. Whitley Cox has ended the series on a high note and I have no hesitation in recommending this little gem.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Second chance at love
Angst: 😰😰😰
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Triggers: miscarriage

What a wonderful conclusion to the Harty Boys series! After 30 years, Joy Hart finally gets a second chance at love with the super sexy (and younger) Grant. Her four adult sons aren't exactly on board, but she get's some help from their wives <3. This story is told from multiple POVs and is a HEA for Joy, but also like an extended epilogue for each of her boys and their wives.

This book just made me so happy! There were some serious laugh out loud moments as well as some tears. There were smexy times that nearly lit my kindle on fire, but most of all, this was just a really wonderful story about love, loss, change, and family. An absolutely perfect way to end the series!

They get more than they bargained for when the Hart boys bring a Christmas tree to their mother Joy's house. The woman who has been a widow for the past thirty years has found someone to spend her time with and the end result is unhappy children and the fear of a ruined Christmas. Will Grant be the reason that the family who has always been a united front turns to a divided nation? Or will he be the real reason Christmas can be saved? The reader has been waiting for Joy to find her own happiness as they have watched the boys find theirs and Whitley Cox did not disappoint. Besides the anger and hurt feelings comes a sense of understanding and new beginnings. Completely one of those books I will read and re-read again and again.

FANTASTIC!!!

Have loved reading the Hart brothers stories & was looking forward to reading their mother Joy's story & I was not disappointed. When they all turned at their mothers house to find it in darkness they all went into stealth protective mode but when she came out of her bedroom they were shocked to see a man folliw her out & they were fuming but their wives broke the tension intoducing themselves. When Joy told them that she & Grant had been seeing each other for months & that they were not going to stop they set out trying to find dirt on him but it was mainly the eldest Brock who couldn't stand Grant being with their mum even though their dad had passed away 30yrs ago.
Over a short time Grant had shown he was not out to replace their dad but that he was serious about being with Joy & the wives could see how happy Joy was in a way they had never seen her before but being stubborn the guys were not interested. Grant pushed Thea out of the way saving her from being run over & was there for Lydia taking to hospital but also being there with her for emotional support knowing from personal experience what she was going through & he was there a few times if someone in the family asked if he'd be able to help & if he could in anyway he would & seeing Joy happy was all that he mattered to him. They'd both lost the loves of their lives & deserved to be happy & they had found that with each other it was just a shame her sons couldn't see how happy Grant made her & made sure her dons knew exactly who was in charge of her relationship with Frant & it wasn't them.
This story had me laughing, tearful, wanting to give Brock a slap a few times, had amazing & wonderful characters & I couldn't put it down not wanting it to end.
I loved seeing Joy & Grant's relationship grow but also how the other Hart families lives had moved on & their highs & lows
This has been a fantastic series have loved each of the brother & mum's stories & definately recommend reading this whole series.

This is totally different from the rest of the series, personally I’d say you need to read the series before this as much of the book is a round up of each of the Harty boys as well as seeing Joy find her HEA
Joy is the woman that made the Harty boys the amazing men they have grown to be.
She was sadly widowed when the boys were young and tho she has had several short relationships she hasn’t shared this fact with her boys.
She now has found a man who she loves - Grant
Unfortunately the family interrupted a private moment between Joy & Grant and her boys clearly didn’t like seeing their mum with a man.
Grant is definitely a bone of contention and has caused a rift within the family who normally have each other’s backs.
As a reader it’s lovely to see Joy find her own happiness as she’s watched the boys find their happiness in their woman and children.
Grant proved himself over and over ( no spoilers ) he saved the day over and over….
Besides the anger and hurt feelings comes a sense of understanding and new beginnings.
I missed the action this series has always provided, I missed the drama, danger, action all the other books gave me as a reader.
Lots of sex scenes throughout however again I missed the basis of the series, I would have liked to see Grant save Joy in a way each book in the series given me.

This is the fifth book in The Harty Boys series and it brings together the entire family while focusing on their mother Joy, who deserves every happiness. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the books in order to understand the family dynamics. The Christmas holiday is arriving and the clan gathers to drop off the tree at Joy’s house when they get an unexpected surprise…their mother has a male suitor named Grant. To say that Joy’s sons are less than thrilled is an understatement. Will Christmas be a merry occasion or will it be derailed by the new guest? Overall, this is one well written storyline that gives readers all of the feels. Joy is a strong woman who gave her all to raise her family and is living her life, her way. Grant is the perfect partner in crime for Joy as he gives her the affection she needs while standing up to her sons. Once again, Ms. Cox pours her talent on the pages as she brings these characters, who feel more like extended family, to life. The dialogue is witty and keeps engagement as the chapters are read. Full of love, fun and heart, this is one book to add to your reading shelf as it is the gift that will keep on giving.

Santa came early for Mama Harty...and brought her one fine silver fox for under her tree fun

Full Hart is the fifth book in The Harty Boys series and this festive and heartwarming story is about all the Hart brothers and their wives and families. If you have read the books in this series then you will love this one, plus it will start to get you in the Christmas spirit, or at least want some eggnog or hot chocolate. But there is a twist to this family story as the grown brothers are about to be in for an eye opening experience and some changes to the family when their mother, Joy, finally gets her own second love in the form of silver fox Grant. Yep that man may not be welcome by the Harty brothers but he would be welcome to put his feet under my table, and some other places.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

After focusing on the 4 Hart brothers first, the 5th book in the series places Joy's - their mother's - love story in the center. That is not to say that we don't get to meet up with the boys. On the contrary, they or rather their reaction to finding their mother involved with a man - how dare she, lol - play a huge part in the story. It is told from multiple POVs and so gives us great insight into their minds, but also serves as kind of epilogues for each of the couples. It has everything a great romance needs, but especially a Christmas themed one: love, family, laughter, tears, sexy times. It has loss, change and heartbreaking news, too, which just serve to highlight the good things and makes me appreciate them more. A great way to end a series ... Except, in my humble opinion, there is one threat left dangling. Who is Rayma's man, mentioned in the final epilogue? She is a great character and so I hope her story is in our future!

I was soo not ready for this series to finish and to be honest I put off reading this book as I figure if I don't read it, it never finished right! But I finally took the plunge and I floved it soo hard not only as I got to see all the guys and gals again for one last hoorah and it's Christmas, but most importantly because the back bone of the family Joy finally gets her chance at love after years on focusing on her boys and all the highs and lows they went through. Of course Brock, Chase, Rex and Heath are not going to take this well and their distrust is strong which I kind of get but their Mum is not a fool nor is she a women who would go for anything but a good man and so the sparks fly with how they act. Get ready for loads of laughs (especially thanks to Rayma, god that girl is a fire cracker) as well as frustration at Neanderthal thinking, women you don't want to mess with, a few tears, sneaky moves, reality checks, a heart full of love and a Christmas to remember.

This was an absolutely perfect way to wrap up the series! Joy deserved her chance at love again after successfully raising four alpha males and Grant was the best person to fulfill that for her. All of the guys were not happy to discover that their mother was seeing someone and heaven forbid that she actually had a sex life on top of that! The obstacles that Grant had to overcome as he won over the boys, one by one, were at times funny and at others emotional but he managed to pass each time with flying colors! Brock was the last to capitulate but then again he was the son most affected by the death of his father. This was a book that was both lol funny as well as a tear-jerker and allowed us as readers to see how all of the characters have been doing. Now for Rayma's story! That one should be a doozy!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This is Joy's story. She raised her four sons to be the perfect Alphas, wonderful husbands and terrific sons. Their only flaw? Not being able to accept the inevitable. This book shares Joy's story, her trials, her successes, her love, her hurt, her secrets. Grant is the new man in her life and he is not giving her up, he will win over her sons if it is the last thing he does. But her boys are blind to the truth and their wives are pushing for them to open their eyes before they damage the love and respect of their relationship with their mother. The holidays are for family, read the Harty boys final book...

The petite (4'11") Joy Hart has met the man she is ready to introduce to her huge Alpha sons this Christmas. Thirty years after the death of her beloved policeman Zane, she is tired of secret trysts to satisfy her sexual urges. However, her entire family of offspring, four sons, their four wives, and seven grandchildren, catch her at home enjoying the younger Grant in her bedroom, missing their knocks and calls as they entered her locked house! Harty Boys Security team immediately set out to prove him unworthy of their beloved mother, unaware she has ever dated or entertained a man other than their father. Let me assure you, this is the story of their lack of success as Grant proves himself worthy by just being himself! So much fun catching up with each of the Hart families as they get to know Grant well before Christmas dinner. Highly recommended.

Grant & Joy plus the rest of the family.

The Christmas surprise the sons and their families had planned for Joy turns out to be their own surprise. Mom has a man!

Watching the son's reaction is funny, to begin with. The wives have a totally different feeling about Joy finding joy in her life after thirty years as a widow. Grant has his work cut out to prove himself to the family as he has to her.

We get a picture of the families and children as their lives and love continue.

Brock seems to have the most trouble accepting Grant. Will he ruin their relationship or are Joy and Grant strong enough to fight back for their love. There is plenty of love, steam, and humor. Even if you haven't read the other stories you'll enjoy this one.

Everyone deserves love and moms are definitely not excluded unless your Brock Hart. I loved this Grant was exactly what we didn’t know we needed. The focus was on the Hart brothers, but Joy tied everything together and brought the family everything they didn’t know was needed. A safe haven for Rayma and big supporters and a cheerleader for all the women to put the brothers in their places and fix all the hard ships. The epitome of a hard working widow who refused to let real life knock down. I was laughing out loud for the first chapter and was hooked, but who isn’t hooked on Whitley.

I loved this book. We got to catch up with the Hart brothers and the family. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved catching up with all the characters. And we got to see mama Joy finally be happy again.

This had some great funny parts and other parts where it was upsetting.

I highly recommend this series.

The boys have had their happy ever after, now why can't their mom have the same thing? Oh yes, because these stubborn men have decided that Grant must be shady and can't be trusted! But when it looks like Christmas might not happen and the women of the family need help, it's the new man in Joy's life that steps up....
A wonderful romantic story that wraps up the series, letting us know how the Hart men and their wives are doing, and just because you're a bit older life doesn't have to be boring. An excellent read, but I think Whitley Cox would give us nothing less than the best.

I love when a series concludes in such a spectacular way! Full Hart was exactly that, full of heart and family. Out of all the Harts, Joy definitely deserved her happily ever after. Her meet cute with Grant had me grinning from ear to ear. Watching each one of the Hart brothers come to terms with their matriarch’s new love was emotional, chaotic and beautiful all rolled into one. Whitley knocked it out of the park with this finale. Thank you for making me fall in love with this family.

I have loved all the books in this series and to see Joy have her happy ending is a treat!
A lovely story of love and lust at a later age in life. Grant and Joy have chemistry, passion, love, companionship and a second chance at happiness.
The road is not easy, their will be family drama, loss, resistance, hostility, confrontation, acceptance, heartbreak, pain and growth.
In the end, family is everything.

5 🎁 one great HEA for the Hart family!!!

Full Hart is like 5 novellas wrapped into one package. Whitley gives us updated storylines on all the Hart brothers and a bonus love story for Joy, their mother. Such a great early Christmas gift from Whitley. Thank you!!!
This book is easy to read, transitioning from one couple/family to another without missing a step. While we get a peak into what has happened to each of the couples, we see how each of the brothers are handling the fact their mother has found someone to love that is not their father. Let’s say, they don’t handle it well and the wives have to stage some major intervention, including an arrest for trespassing. I really loved the humor she interjects, especially by the young children. Honorable mention goes out to Zoe; Brock and Krista have their hands full with her. This book is just in time for Christmas really delivers on the spirit, including the traditional Christmas puppy(ies).

Ok this is probably my favorite because my hero Joy mother of those hot Hart men finally is getting her world rocked! It’s funny how caveman all the boys become after discovering her with her paramour. All the daughter in-laws are fist pumping the air! Whitney gives us all the love of all the relationships in this book! I couldn’t have read a better holiday romance. It’s sweet and sexy.

Coming back to the Hart family was awesome!! I love these boys and their spunky mom. This time around we get to see mom’s HEA. She has been the rock that has held these men together for so long and has supported the women who fell in love with them. Her gentleman is truly that, a gentleman. He stole my heart so quickly that I didn’t even have a chance to swoon to the floor. Loved the boys reaction and the women? Priceless. I can’t wait to have more of this family.
