She fell into the ocean but didn’t expect to also fall for a Navy SEAL…

Navy SEAL Mark “Mayhem” Covington never imagined he’d rescue a pretty blonde from the Pacific during his morning run. A woman posing for selfies isn’t exactly his type, but he’s surprised to learn that she’s down-to-earth, ambitious, gorgeous—and his buddy’s younger sister.

Everly Howard is hoping for her big break. In town for a photoshoot, she wants to launch her own clothing line and leave her social media influencer days behind. The man who rescues her on the beach makes her heart pound, but the last thing she needs is an assertive, macho guy who’s also friends with her older brother.

When the threatening messages Everly’s receiving begin to escalate, Mark vows to find her stalker. Someone who knows her every move leaves tension rising—and Everly’s anxiety growing. Mark will keep her safe at all costs, protecting both her body and heart, but is it enough when someone is determined to silence her forever?

SEAL’s Vow, a standalone novel, is book three in the sizzling Coronado Team 2 series.

A suspenseful read that will keep you guessing who done it. Everly has a stalker. She's an influencer, and when you post picks of your every move and what you are or aren't wearing is bound to draw undue attention. Mark is a seal on the same team as her brother, and you know about the whole leave the brothers sister alone. She is about 8 years younger than him, and Mark tries to keep his distance but it's hard for him to do. HEA.

I’m really struggling to think of anything I actually liked about this book.

The two main characters definitely stood out, but unfortunately not in a good way. Their decision making was incredibly frustrating and often felt unrealistic. Everly is being stalked and receiving creepy messages, yet she doesn’t change her phone number and continues posting on social media where she’s going to be. It made it really hard to take the situation seriously when she was repeatedly making choices that made it easier for her stalker to find her.

There was also very little romance. Mark and Everly kissed a few times here and there, but the actual romantic development didn’t really happen until the very end. And even then, it felt rushed.

The whole age gap issue was another thing that drove me crazy. Mark and Tyler repeatedly brought up the fact that Mark was seven years older than Everly, as though they were decades apart. Seven years really isn’t that significant of an age gap for adults, yet it was treated like this huge obstacle for most of the book. They made such a big deal about the age difference that it became more annoying than meaningful.

Then there was the whole “she’s my friend’s sister” issue. Mark was supposedly very bothered by the idea of dating Tyler’s sister, but that concern was barely explored. It was brought up once or twice and then essentially forgotten, which made the initial reluctance feel pointless.

The premise itself could have been good, but the execution just didn’t work for me. For most of the book, the plot basically felt like someone randomly sending Everly creepy texts. The resolution was especially anticlimactic. They see the suspected stalker one time, tackle him, and that’s basically it. There wasn’t even any real confrontation. He never attacked or explained himself, and I don’t even remember whether it was ever established that he was arrested.

And the entire thing was so predictable. I honestly think this may be one of the most predictable books I’ve ever read.

Unfortunately, this was a huge miss for me and probably one of Makenna Jameison’s weakest books.

When Mark rescues a woman who falls into the ocean after he startles her, he is stunned to learn that the woman he was admiring is one of his teammates younger sister Everly. Everly is a blogger and has gained a huge following, unfortunately some of her followers are of the creepy kind and decided to arrive earlier than expected to visit her brother Trigger. As she is whisked off in an ambulance and her brother notified of her accident, all she wants is Mark aka Mayhem to stick around. Too bad it’s complicated for the two of them, first her being the younger sister of a teammate and her innocence has Mark stepping back but he can’t stay away especially when he learns she has a stalker and nothing or no one will stop him from being by her side to protect her.
A great read with some steam and suspense, surprises and with great characters all around. I liked these two and the little to no drama between them and once they finally give in to the fireworks, they explode. I liked how when Mark finally gives in and once he is all in, he’s all in. Everly was young but with a good head on her shoulders and her persona was different from the one she was on line, which made her even more endearing, she wanted more than to post pictures, she had a goal in mind and nothing was going to stop her.

You know what happens when you assume? You make an a$$ out of u and me. Mark "Mayhem" Covington made some major assumptions about Trigger's baby sister, Everly. She's a blogger and an influencer therefore self involved. Spoiled and flighty. Finding out the woman he saves from drowning is Everly is a surprise but learning she the exact opposite of what he assumed is a shocker. Added to that, the instantaneous connection he feels and no one is more surprised than he is. Everly finds herself feeling safe with Mark even if he is a little intense. Despite everything being wrong for them becoming a couple: he's too old for her, he serves with her brother, they live on opposite coasts, and she's only in town for a week, they are not dissuaded. Everly has a problem and once Mark finds out and informs his teammates they go into protector & investigation mode. Falling in love is easy, making it work takes work.

Navy Seal Mark “Mayhem” Covington never expected to rescue a beautiful woman from the ocean as he was running that morning but he was glad he was there when she turned out to be the sister of a fellow Seal. Everly is a blogger and was taking selfies to try and get a corporate sponsor for her clothing line. Among her social media followers is a stalker who has followed her to California. As a result of his rescue they develop a bond and he takes on her protection while she is on town. They have great chemistry and while trying to find the stalker they grow closer. Hot scenes are the result! SEAL’s Vow is book three in the Coronado Team 2 series but can be read alone. Not as suspenseful as others in the series. I received an advanced copy for my honest review. I recommend this book for great characters and an interesting plot.

This is the third book in the Coronado Team 2 series, this time about Mark and Everly, although the other members of his team feature within the story. Whilst out running one morning Mark rescues Everly from the sea, and discovers not only is she his team mate’s younger sister, but a lot of his preconceived notions about her role as a blogger are nowhere near the fact. She has problems with a stalker, and as the strong attraction between Mark and Everly develops Mark goes out of his way to keep her safe. The author has a great style of writing which gets you hooked from the first to the last word, and by involving the other team members in the story too ensures we get to know their stories too. Looking forward to the next book.

Photo Finish

Makenna Jameison’s third book in her ‘Coronado Team 2’ series has hit another winner. SEAL team member Mark “Mayhem”, rescues a woman, Everly, off the beach and becomes interested. Only to find out it’s one of his teammates little sister. Not only is that a possible issue but, Everly has been receiving dangerous messages. Mark is determined to keep her safe and eliminate the danger. This book is full of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense and romance that is so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. I can’t wait to see what the author has planned next. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Evenly is a blogger and model, also Trigger’s younger sister.
Mark “Mayhem” is a Navy Seal on her brother’s team.

Mark and Everly meet under crazy circumstances, but their is a definite
attraction between the two.

Everly has a blog post with makeup, hair clothes. As it happens she gets comments good and bad and ignores the bad until she has a stalker
incident. With the help of Mark, Trigger and the team help keep
her safe and solve the incident.

It is a great book with suspense, romance, friendship of a close knit community.

Great Job. Makenna Jameison !!!!

A quick one setting read. The third chapter in this Coronado Team 2 series. Everly is Trigger's younger sister. A by chance meeting turns into so much more. Mark knows he wants Everly, but it's complicated. He's alpha, but shows a more sensitive side to her. He's the only one that makes her feel safe. Light, goodness and luminous, perfect words to describe Everly.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

After the books I read from this collection, I felt it was a bit anticlimatic how it all ended. I was maybe expecting a bit more danger, considering everything it had been said and done. Mayhem also didn't seem like the type to be borderline controlling, but he was, while also being a gentleman. Evelyn seemed too innocent, too young, for everything, and just went with the flow. All in all, not the best of the collection...

What do a stalker, a teammate and Mayhem have in common...beautiful Everly. Grab this page turning, heart racing, suspenseful romance to see if Mayhem can protect Everly and his heart or will he lose it all.

Wow rescued by a gorgeous Navy Seal pulling you out of the ocean, protecting you from a obsessed stalker, what’s the problem? Your brother is one of his team mates, he wants to protect his little sister from his friend the wolf. Great read, lots of fun and warmth.

3.5 stars from me.

Good story line and I enjoyed the characters in this one. I am not an age-gap fan, but this one wasn’t awful. I felt the push/pull of the early relationship gave me whiplash, but it all seemed to work out in the end.

I’ll definitely keep reading the series.

No excitement

It was a little anticlimactic, boom you find out who the stalker is there was no excitement, no chasing after the villain to get the heroine back just done with. It feels like someone else wrote this serenity not like the other books.

Amazing book

This is the third book in this series but it can be read as a standalone (but characters from the previous books do make an appearance). I love how Mark takes care of Everly and makes her feel safe. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
