Could have been amazing.
This really could have been a good book if the author would have stayed with the original storyline. There are not many encouraging or inspirational books about plus size women and these women with their different personalities could be found in our everyday lives. If he would have shown the obstacles, how hard it is for women of color to make, even if they had to resort to selling drugs to get "seed" money but they made it. It would have been a better read. Sometimes even in these urban storylines we want to see a positive result.

This book was straight trash and hard to get threw and then it didn't end worth a damn. I can't get those hours back from this book. This just made big girls look stupid.

Uhm, wth did I just read? This book couldn’t have been written by Blake Karrington. I’ve read books by him, and they were good. This was, idk what to call it. I thought I was going to read about a big girl modeling agency, but it went to something else, then the last story was just a porno manuscript. Ok, rant over

This was probably 2.5 stars to me. There was a lot going on.
Three friends: Nora, Andrea and Darleen. All plus sized and beautiful.
Sex scandals at work, cheating boyfriends, theft, murder, drug dealing... Maybe if there were one less story line would have came together for me. i really liked the plus sized modeling idea. More books should focus on different sizes.
The characters weren't worth me getting invested in because they weren't fleshed out. So when one was murdered I was like "K".

All Good
This was typical fashion for this writer,I mean he hits you with the one two punch and then light out at the end. This was a really good story from start to finish. I love the fact that our ladies are unapologetic for their actions on gettin to the money,but are really thrown when there friend is murdered. This was a story that's fleshed out but still has so much to tell.The characters are likable and you feel like you could know them. All in all this was a good way to spend the day.

Speechless
Well, I’ll be diggy-dang 😲‼️…Mr. Karrington, I have a much greater appreciation for your literary artistry after reading “Thickums”. Initially I was offended by both Garrett & Wood’s misogynistic exploits. However, I discovered these events were unfortunately were a necessary progress to inspire, & encourage Andrea, Nora & Darlene… beyond Thickums! I definitely wasn’t expected an urban pharmaceutical vindictive savagery‼️I’m still SPEECHLESS 😶…yet I want & need more Thickums‼️🍺👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽

This book was a easy to comprehend read. There were numerous typos. The storyline started out smooth and then seemed rushed. There were a couple inconsistencies in the book. Such as in one section it said it was 'the guy' first time at the Jamaican restaurant even though Nora had been before, then a few sentences later it said he'd been there plenty of times. They could make a make a part 2. Would I read it? Possibly because I'm a sucker for ghetto black stories.

Fast Paced Drama!
This book was definitely a good read! It started off as a slow burn but quickly turned into an avalanche! I love the representation of plus size women!!! This didn't end how I thought it would but definitely lived the way it ended. (Spoiler Alert ⚠️) I hated seeing my favorite character lose her life but I'm proud of what she accomplished before her tragic ending. I wished she would've made it through till the very end!

This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. I wasn't sure what was going to happen from one minute to the next and my predictions didn't always come true. After a while, I felt like I knew these characters and I truly didn't expect it to all come to an end the way it did. Great read.

Good read
This was a fast paced thrilling read. I'm sorry Andrea had to pay with her life. I hope Nora and Darleen learned their lesson after the dangerous fiasco with Wood over drugs. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good book to read.

Interesting
It was great in the beginning. Gave an excellent story line. Then got a little boring in the middle. Loved the end. Can't wait for part 2!

This was a great story. I wish there could have been a part 2. Loved the storyline between the three friends. I felt like there could have been more said to tie up all of the remaining questions.

I was disappointed that the book turned more toward the drug field than remaining focused on the modeling agency. I would have loved for it to end with a success story.

It was good until they became drug dealers. They should have just stuck with the fashion stuff. It didn't have a real ending, and it just turned into a mess by the end.
