Ok breath, Foster and Sky’s story just got a whole lot more interesting…..

I have sat and wrote and re-wrote this review so many times because I can’t exactly explain my emotions when it came to this book. I literally spent a whole day not adulting because I was so excited for this read, like every HL Swan book I devoured it.

Foster and Sky’s story picks up right off where Race to Me ends, and I was instantly taken back to everything, the first few chapters had me tearing up along with a few more. I felt so many emotions throughout this whole story. And that is the honest power of a good book.

Foster and Sky defiantly have some new bumps in the road. They have some new players in this wild storm they face. Will they overcome everything?

Envy you….. (word I cant use or they wont post my review) I literally wanted to throat punch you or slap you! I absolutely cant stand her and I wish her some pain for sure.

That ending……SPEECHLESS……..
Until Next time HL Swan, I’ll be patiently waiting.

Just adore seeing the growth in this newer author with every book she publishes. Love Skyler and Foster, feel so invested in them. HL Swan gives us fully rounded characters that I feel like I actually know. This is Book Two and boy, will be waiting awhile for Book Three, but I know that it will be definitely worth the time waiting. This is a really good story and I am enjoying it so. Lately, all my reads have been stand alone, so it really is nice to get invested in a series again and HL has made it worth it. Keep up the good work. You need to contact Kandi Steiner and be on one of her "Take over Tuesdays". I know you're on the shy-er side but want to see others getting to know you. How you do it all with being an author, wife and new mom I don't know, but you get it done!

If I could only use one word to describe Skylar and Foster’s relationship it would be SACRIFICE! Their love for one another runs so deep and true that they both are willing to risk any and everything to keep the other safe. No matter what life throws at them, even at such a young age, they push through to stick together. In this second book of the series, they are met with several situations that cause them to struggle. But true love never fails them. They continue to fight for one another! So many secondary characters and plot twists come into play within their journey. It is truly an amazing story and I loved reading every minute!

“For you, yes.”

Oh my LANTA… where do I even begin? Skyler and Foster are back for the second installment of the To me series right where they left off in Race to me. And now I must have the third book. H.L. Swan how could you leave us with a cliffhanger like that?

Skyler and Foster face a worse character than her father that threatens to tear the two apart. Enemies become friends and lies are around every corner. There are so many surprises to this book that I wasn’t expecting. H.L. Swan definitely delivered in this book and I couldn’t get enough of it.

This book made me cry, it made me fall apart just to be put back together just to feel like I’m falling apart again.

Also I could strangle Envy just an FYI. I’m still processing what I read from 2 days ago. Still not over that ending. Can’t wait for the next one!

I always say H.L. Swan is literally the queen of plot twists and she definitely doesn't disappoint throughout this entire book.

The heartache, the lies, the tribulations.. I don't even know where to start. I was mad at everyone at one point. I gasped, I wanted to cry, my heart ached for Fosky.

Envy... haha.. oh Envy.. the green goblin is the worst, can't stand her. I thought Skyler's dad was bad if that tells you anything.

Remember, nothing is as it seems!!

And that ending, ohhh have mercy. I'm already chomping at the bit for the next book.

Skyler and Foster are really two loving people who are willing to do anything just to protect each other. Even at the cost of his own broken heart. It is a story based mainly on emotions. Seriously, in the first chapters, the book literally made me cry, scream, rage. On one side my heart softened that wau finally together and on the other it broke into pieces. I hope bitch Envy gets what she deserves. Death would be most ideal or imprisonment. Indeed, such a person does not deserve to breathe the same air. I love Brett and God, too, Warren. He was such a perfect surprise. Hat down in front of Warren's mom. She won my admiration with her help in destroying her. However, despite everything, I personally think that this story was supposed to be a duet. Not a trilogy. Don't get me wrong. I love Sky and Foster. The author writes really perfectly. But the two of them have experienced so much really bad that has been enough. They should already have a beautiful happy ending, with a little girl in her arms that Foster was so looking forward to.

Ok so I want to know what happens but what drives me absolutely crazy about this series is how Skyler goes from a lifetime of cheering to becoming a ballerina in pointe shoes her first day in class?! Yes, cheer gives her an advantage but do you know how long it takes for ballerinas to train to be allowed to dance in pointe shoes and then she is now a street bike racer against people who have been riding bikes their whole lives even in the amateurs? Don’t even get me started one how her ballet teacher has them make up routines and bring their boyfriends to dance in the performance. Then how their relationship goes from I love you like crazy to fuming mad leave me alone. If this was a friend of mine in this relationship I would be concerned. They are all over the place. Am I going to read the next one? Yes. Will I recommend this series? Probably not.

Crash into me is the sequel to race to me and let me tell you, she did NOT disappoint! This book was a PAGE turner! The windy roads and chemistry it took to get to the ending was SPECTACULAR!!! Up to date, this is still my favorite Swan series! Foster isn’t just your average bad boy, he’s protective and provocative and sexy while Skyler is becoming more and more. She is just that, more! The ending will have you SHOOK! I cried during this book so many times, I laughed hard and I’ve already re-read it three times! The absolute depth that H.L. Swan takes us to is a new bound and I cannot wait for book three! Please read it and let her know what you think, the way she pours her heart and soul into her writing is evident!

Skyler “wakes” up in a coma, she can hear everything going on around her, but can’t move. She hears Envy tell foster they are going to be parents. She hears her father (Kent) sign a DNR.
Skyler finally wakes up. She pretends not to know Foster. She makes a deal with Kent that if he pays for all of Sophie’s medical bills she will come back home and marry Warren Hollingsworth.
Foster is heartbroken.
At a “charity” event at Sky’s house she and Warren are supposed to be seen together. He is mean to her. Then she see Envy with her parents and Skyler realizes Envy isn’t a poor orphan or pregnant, she is very rich and faked a pregnancy to get Foster.
Warren gets Sky out of the house to see Foster. Foster had gotten a butterfly tattoo for Sky because she says he gives her butterflies.
She wants Foster to go and forget about her so she tells him the butterflies are dead.
Warren and Skyler are supposed to sign a contract later that evening. Turns out Warren wasn’t mean, he was just in love with Brett.
Kent almost kills Skyler, but Foster comes in just in time.
It ends with Foster making a deal with The Keeper for $200,000. He wanted to take away that power Kent had over Skyler and to take care of her.
Foster had given Envy access to his bank account for the “baby”.
Skyler has to tell Foster that Envy isn’t an orphan and isn’t pregnant, he doesn’t want to believe it, but he pulls up Envy’s shirt and he is crushed because he wanted to be a father to his “baby girl”.
Skyler is all of a sudden a great racer and her and foster work hard to get the $200,000 to pay back the Keeper. When they finally make enough. Envy drains Foster’s bank account because he never took her off the account 🤦🏼‍♀️

sacrifices and secrets

After the little cliffhanger in book one, book two starts off right where we left off. Answers to what happened and secrets we tell to protected the one we love. Even if it sacrifices your own safety and happiness. That’s what this one is all about.

After a life threatening accident almost k!lls the love of Foster’s life. He has to sit there and prey she will come back to him. Skyler in a coma can hear everything around her. Even her parents squeezing themselves back into her life. She is in a coma for a few chapters and a lot of talks about this. When she wakes is when the story really starts.

I am still really loving Foster and love his heart. The whole g@ng of characters is really lovable. I am really hoping we can get a few stories from some of them. Book two is much more about their journey to get their lives back. Regain their freedom. This couple has a lot of bumps in their path.

Skyler in my opinion has the most growth. She is a lot more confident in her skin. Risking everything to save and protect Foster and those around him. The entire found family aspect of this series is one of my favourite things. A few things probably feel drawn out more then they should but I still binged my way through and will go right into Book three. Not and overly spicy read but much more spicy than book one

To Me series (Race to Me, Crash in to Me, Fall on to Me)
By H.L Swan

All you need to know is
Motorcycles, forbidden love, bad body trope. GO IN BLIND. TRUST ME.🤞🏼

Spoilers below for the entire series 👇🏼
When I tell you I have had absolutely no life the past three days while reading this series I’m not lying. This trilogy is so SO breathtakingly beautiful. Foster/Ghost is the most caring man I’ve ever read about, he is so possessive in the best way-trustworthy and a kind, loving man. And the “touch her and die” trope goes SO hard for this book and that is my absolute favorite🥵

“Your chaos is mine, Skyler. We will weather every storm that comes our way, together, for the rest of our lives.”
💕💕

Sky/Shadow- this girl is so amazing. Like riding above any and everything all for the sake of love. The way she feels about Foster is just beautiful, their story and love is beautiful. Also the plot twists in this book literally floored me. I was shocked every time I flipped a page I felt like. Never did this story drag or get boring, it was wonderfully written and I have a book hangover from this. I will never recover🥺💕 Fosky forever😍

loved this book from start to finish, binge read the whole trilogy over a stormy weekend away.
I would give this series a 10 star if I could.

I loved the passion and romance between foster and Skylar. I loved watching her come out of herself and grew to love her strength and determination. I don't want to give to many spoilers away, as ill be honest I read all three books back to back so cant really separate what happened from book 1-2 or 2-3 as I honestly couldn't put this serious down. it gave me everything!
passion, shock, awe and anger. I went through an array of emotions reading this serious. although i must admit I half guessed the 'shock villain' but still when I read it I felt like screaming.
H.L is a newer author to me but after this series I will defiantly be binging her other books.

I can not even begin to describe the emotions I had while reading this book. I was shocked, happy, sad, mad, excited, proud, freaking all of it. I am so wrapped up in Skylar and Fosters story and it kills me I have to wait to see what happens next. Do yourself a favor and READ THIS BOOK. Also, that little insight crossover view is a golden Easter egg surprise if you have read HL Swans other books. (Guarded by Death- if you know, you know 😎). I LOVED this book so much and can’t not wait for the third book!

@h.l.swan

Skyler & Foster are 😍😍😍 I’ve been following their story from the first page H.L. wrote & I’ve been rooting for them ever since! Their relationship has been a roller coaster & has made my heart stop on several occasions. In true H.L. fashion, we’re left holding our breath with a cliffhanger until the 3rd installment of their story is released. I will be dying until then, waiting to see if Fosky finally get their happily ever after…

Ok so I’m just straight up inhaling this series apparently. Loved this one too, though as the plot got more complicated, there were also more plot holes and threads just left hanging so I couldn’t give this the same rave reviews as the first. I’ll also add that the timing feels slightly off in these and I am not quite sure how each book is supposed to be a year? Or a semester? Unclear. That said, Foster is bae, and yes I’m reading the 3rd.

I DNF this. I tried.
But I reached chapter 23 & I could no longer suspend reality to the point that I cared to read anymore of this amateurish story with so many plot holes . . . . . No.

This chick has been on a motorcycle a handful of times, in parking lots. The ONE time she did ride on a real highway she crashed almost died and ended up in a coma. But for some reason the author decided it would be a good idea to make her a motorcycle racer and have her compete against her boyfriend? Are you kidding me! There's no way. She has NO skills.

Also the plot was flimsy from the jump.

I like to think this was written better then the first book with a better plot. I absolutely hated the first part of the book bc i HATE her family and what she had to go through that was like an emotional punch to the gut.

Sky definitely becomes more of a rebel in this book and does whatever it takes. I can see why she totally inlove with this dude

The keeper makes me nervous and I hope envy gets what she deserves

🤦🏼‍♀️ like book one, the idea for the story is great but it’s so poorly executed. Plot hole after plot hole that makes the story less believable. The timeline is all over the place, one minute it’s summer, the next it’s the start of school and five pages later they’re taking finals. I’m not sure that the author has been to college because she writes about it like it were high school.
