When a politician's daughter takes an off-the-books boat tour of the Bermuda Triangle with her friends, it'd normally be nothing of note... but when that ship suddenly disappears along with the crew and passengers, panic ensues.
But this is no supernatural menace! When Marston and Holm hear an audio recording of shouting and chaos aboard the ship, all signs point to this being a much more mundane evil: a kidnapping and ransom plot that puts the lives of all the victims at risk. Now, it's a race against time to find the criminals responsible, and in the end, it's up to Ethan to track the kidnappers down and rescue the girl before it's too late, no matter who or what stands in his way.
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
I started reading and couldn't stop. One of my favorites. I can't wait until the next one. the coastal fury books are fast paced and I feel like I know the characters. I love these .
Great characters for this amazing storyline. This story has it all: the islands, the blue waters, the gangs, lots of action. The writing puts you right in the middle of the action participating in the drama of solving this latest case. As always, excellent read.
As always, Matt keeps me guessing til the end. And wanting the next book. Love that the characters and the story just keeps going, with a new adventure every time.
It seems apparent that the author has never been to Bermuda. As someone who lived there for many years the inaccurate descriptions of the islands and the people are disturbing. A small amount of research could have made the story more interesting and enjoyable.
All of the series so far have been fast reading and very entertaining. I hate to put them down. I always look forward to the next one just like Marsten's fan club.
