For The Love Of A Good Woman Box 3: Books 5-7

Rate this book
Sebastian is a mystery romance and the fifth book in the series.
Sebastian
Stubborn. Bull-headed. Sexy as hell. That was Maggie. The woman that I was currently protecting. As the owner of Reed Security, I didn't really go into the field that often, but I was coerced into playing bodyguard for the trouble-making reporter. She didn't listen to a damn thing I said and was constantly putting herself in danger. This story she was investigating was going to get her killed if she didn't learn to listen. More troubling than that was the fact that I was seriously attracted to her and was having a hard time keeping my hands off her. She was a distraction that I really needed to avoid if I wanted to keep us both alive.

Maggie
Tall. Rugged. Lethal. Words that didn't even begin to describe Sebastian, the man that was supposed to be protecting me. I found that I liked to push his buttons and get a reaction out of him. It kept things exciting. He also wasn't bad at keeping me alive, which was a bonus when every other minute someone was trying to kill me. Now if only I could get him to stop resisting me. I seriously needed a way to let off some steam and he was the perfect distraction. Still, I had to stay focused and get to the bottom of this story before I ended up at the bottom of the river wearing a pair of cement shoes.

Sean is the sixth book in the series.

Sean
Vira is every man's fantasy. She's sexy as hell and dynamite in bed, but I can't get her to commit to me. After finally seeing the light, I walk away, determined to move on. She's always there, though. She pulls me back in, making it impossible to walk away and always hoping this will be the time I'll change her mind. Lillian is prim, proper, and a grammar Nazi. She drives me absolutely insane, but under all that is a sexy teacher waiting for someone to help her let loose. She drives me crazy, both mentally and physically, but I'm not sure she's the woman for me.

Lillian
Sean is exactly the type of man I need to avoid. I'm not everything I appear to be and if he took the time to get to know me, he would see that. Sean isn't one to stick around, though. He's crazy about a woman that is the complete opposite of me. How could I ever hope that he would see me the way he sees her?

Vira
I'm crazy about Sean, but he wants something I can't offer. No matter how many times he tells me he's through with me, he always comes back for more. Lately, though, he's been seeing another woman who is nothing like me. He seems to really like her and so do his friends. If I don't step up and make things right between us, I'll lose him for good.

Ryan is the final book in the series For The Love Of A Good Woman and is best read in order. This book continues in the Reed Security series.

Ryan
I would do anything to have what my friends have, the love of a good woman. Cassandra's that woman. I've known it since I met her two years ago. I've been chasing her since we finished our joint project at VAS, but she keeps turning me down. She's gone out with me and met my friends, but she wouldn't date me. Now I know why. I would do anything, give anything to help her, and hopefully prove to her that I am the man that she needs. But will this one thing I can give her be enough to keep her?

Cassandra
Ryan is the one man that could make me rethink everything I've been telling myself for the last two years. From the moment we met, I felt a pull to him and knew he had the ability to change my life. There's nothing more I would like than to give in and be with him, but my circumstances have me holding back. When someone from my past came back and threatened everything I hold dear, Ryan stepped up and proved to be the man I always suspected he was. Now if I can just let my heart believe it's real.

Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.

This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.

The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.

You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.

Sebastian, Sean & Ryan - Boxset 3 - For The Love Of A Good Woman Series - By - Giulia Lagomarsino

Sebastian - Book 5 - For The Love Of A Good Woman Series - By - Giulia Lagomarsino

This is the fifth book in the For The Love Of A Good Woman Series and this book focuses on Sebastian who we have met in the previous books and Maggie who is a real firecracker of a woman. Sebastian Reed left the military after an injury caused by an explosion causing some of the vision in his left eye to be lost. Not wanting to give up a life where his training is not of value he opens Reed Security. He runs the administrative side of the business plus everything else and is rarely in the field these days but he does miss it. Reed Security is his life and he has two silent partners Derek "Irish" Cortell and Sam "Cazzo" Galmacci both Team leaders who he hopes will take some of the responsibility. Maggie Curtis who is given the team name Freckles by Sebastian, is a reporter for The Pittsburgh Press and hot on a story about the local Mayor and some shady dealings he could be involved in. When she gets in over her head and threats to her life are made the paper's editor makes Maggie take protection and insists that Sebastian is the right man for the job. Together they go on the trail of the investigation, following leads and chasing down research all whilst avoiding threats and trying to stay alive. Soon these two work focused souls learn that there is so much more to life than deadlines and admin work when you find the one meant for you. Just ask
Maggie's neighbours Aggie and Harry who are in their seventies and have the chemistry of young love burning bright, they are absolute legends in my book, they had me howling with laughter at their antics. You need to go after that you want is their advice and they are completely right. This intriguing story is packed with twists and turns with lots of action along the way. The characters are strong and endearing, Sebastian is amazing and everything you could hope for and so patient with Maggie as she is definitely a magnet for trouble. Maggie is a stubborn, strong willed woman who is focused on her goal and unaware of those and things around her as she pursues that goal. At times she can frustrate you but I also understand those actions are what make her, her. It was great to see other members of Reed Security such as Sinner, Cazzo and Irish which set up nicely for the dedicated series about Reed Security that follows this one. Which I have already read and it is amazing, I just wish I knew to read this series first to fully appreciate the characters. Any excuse for a re-read! I am looking forward to Sean's story and his happily ever after. Overall this is a great story that I did enjoy, the ending again was a little abrupt but I am also aware that we will be seeing more of these characters in the future of this series and Reed Security so still lots to look forward to. So in conclusion I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I highly recommend it along with everything else written by this amazing author. Happy Reading.

Sean - Book 6 - For The Love Of A Good Woman Series - By - Giulia Lagomarsino

This is the sixth book of the For The Love Of A Good Woman Series and focuses around Sean and his relationships with two very different women and how it all unfolds. Sean Donnelly is the local detective and one of the guys in this amazing group of friends this series is based around. We have seen him in the previous books, he upholds the law, is a true friend and is loyal to a fault. During Cece and Logan's book we saw Sean start a friend's with benefits relationship with Cece's best friend Vira. Over time Sean has developed feelings for Vira, and wants to have a real and full relationship with Vira, something she is very resistant to accept and adamant that she doesn't want. When time passes and nothing changes Sean realises he doesn't want to give up vira but deserves more from her and for himself but he keeps going back again and again. When Sean is investigating a drugs offence at the local school he meets Lillian, one of the teachers, he is instantly attracted to her but cannot help but notice that she is a little uptight in his opinion, and he thinks she is quite prim and proper, a bit of a prude. She dresses sexy but not revealing, she doesn't swear, her versions of cuss words are absolutely brilliant and will definitely have you laughing out loud. Overall she is the complete opposite of Vira but seems to have just as much of a hold on him. What he doesn't realise is that at the age of twenty eight Lillian is even more innocent than he could ever imagine and she plans to stay that way until she is married, this is something she feels really strongly about and Sean needs to think if he can accept that before they go further in their relationship. Sean however makes some errors of judgement on his dating journey with Lillian. He unintentionally hurts Lillian in a way that I actually felt disappointed in him. After his multiple mistakes you see the real Sean, a side that takes a while to be seen and isn't by all but makes you root for him in the end. Lillian is such a likable character, the way she corrected Sean's grammar when talking to him as he spoke, or anyone's for that matter was hilarious. When drunk Lillian talks in an outstanding British accent using a lot of our slang words which just had me laughing out loud as it was so funny. She is tipsy after two glasses of white wine and so funny, and even gets the rest of the gang up on stage with her. The women singing alongside her and the guys stripping off their shirts and dirty dancing for their women during their rendition of "It's Raining Men" which was just brilliant. We did also see another side of Vira, she is at times quite a selfish character but she too showed us another side to herself, she grew in herself, showed us vulnerability and that with the right person she could be able to find love which was a huge character development for her. Overall this was a really enjoyable read. It was a love triangle showing the guy and two women which isn't always a theme I would read but did knowing how much I enjoy this author's work and this series, I needed to see where it went. I am glad that I did, again the ending was a little abrupt but I am thinking that may just be the author's style. This was such a great story that added so much to the series and these characters and gave us more time with this amazing group of guys and their women. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to Ryan's story. Happy Reading.

Ryan - Book 7 - For The Love Of A Good Woman Series - By - Giulia Lagomarsino

This is the seventh and sadly final book in this amazing series and I am extremely sad that it has come to an end. This story features on Ryan and Cassandra. Ryan Jackson has been along for the ride in the other stories of this series supporting his friends and joining in the fun as they each fall for their women and Cassandra we first met in Logan and Cece's story. Cassandra Crawford who is running the VAS organisation (Veteran Assimilation Services) that Ryan and Logan's company constructed and helped bring to life. What we didn't know is that Cassandra has a secret in the form of her ten years old son James who is a beautifully written character. As we know Ryan has been pursuing Cassandra for a year and a half but hasn't gotten her to agree to date him and we soon learn that her son and his feelings were a part of the reason for her reluctance to date Ryan and also thinking he wouldn't be interested anymore once he knew she had a son. When Cassandra has to deal with her ex Michael, James' father and his new wife appearing and threaten taking custody of James Cassandra is distraught. She finally confides her situation in Ryan and he instantly agrees to help her by marrying her and supporting her throughout the upcoming custody battle. They have a rocky start as a married couple as it is a huge change for them both but also for James who slowly builds a beautiful relationship with Ryan. Throughout all of this there is still drama and tragedy to come. This book is an emotional roller coaster and will send you on highs and lows but climaxes on a devastating heartbreak that no one saw coming. This is such an emotional story that will have you laughing and sobbing in equal measures. The impact of this story and writing, the emotions, the family of friends there throughout it all, it is everything. Even though Ryan and Cassie girl didn't get the happily ever after that they deserved this story will still wreck you and stay with you long after you finish reading it. I wish I realised to read the Reed Security Series after this one and not before. Reading the other way around I had an idea of what happened but not the full impact of this story. Wow. This is a must read but have tissues at the ready. I am sad that this series has now ended but glad that it is not the last we will be seeing of these amazing characters. This amazing group will continue their shenanigans as we head into the Reed Security Series where we meet the guys and girls that work there but also these characters through their connection with the almighty Sebastian will still appear and add to the magic that only they can bring. There is still more for Ryan to come which I am happy about just sad how it all came about. Overall this is a great addition to an outstanding series, written as only this amazing author can. Happy Reading.

Hilarious and Tear jerking emotional.

This was one of the most heart wrenching books I have read. I loved it. I laughed out loud at times it made me cry that I had to stop reading but the force to continue reading to find out what was coming next kept me going back for more. The way the story was written was sensitive imaginative.
I am actually glad that I read Feed Security first. Having not read For the LOve of a Good Woman first added extra suspense to the Feed series.
I can't wait for the next instalments of the Feed families. 😍

Emotional Rollercoaster

I love all of the stories in this series. That being said, all of Giulia's books are a great read. Romance series tend to have some fantastical and horrible things happening to the heroines. This book removes the fantastical and brings the realism. The love and story are so realistic that you will laugh and cry and gasp and jump excitedly and be anxious as each part of the story unfolds.

Wow

I've read all and although this last one of this series was heartbreaking it was a very real life storyline. Just as each book in the series has been in their diversity of real life personality and events.
