Will this mail order bride matchmaker take a chance on love when she falls for the bearded cowboy who happens to be her VIP client?
Laney
I run a mail order bride matchmaking service. I pair lonely cowboys with women who are willing to travel to rural areas and marry cowboy husbands.
Since I started my company five years ago, I’ve loved the work. None of the cowboys have ever tempted me until this one. Archer Scott is a tall, handsome, and has the sexiest phone voice I’ve ever heard.
My algorithm says we’re anything but a perfect match. Besides, he hasn’t seen me or my scars. He doesn’t know the truth about my past or the fact that I’m anything but beautiful. Too bad my heart isn’t listening to reason right now…
Archer
My grandfather made it clear in his will that his grandsons had to marry in order to inherit the ranch. He even picked out a mail order bride service.
The only problem is I can’t get the matchmaker out of my head. She says she’s still searching for my woman. I think she’s the one for me and I intend to prove it. That’s why I show up at her company in the big city.
I’m the big, burly cowboy that’s here to claim my bride. But after what she’s been through, will my scarred woman take a chance on love?
The Scott Brothers are fierce cowboys in need of mail order brides so they can claim their rightful inheritance. But that’s not the only thing these rough and dirty cowboys plan to claim! Each book in the Courage County Brides series is standalone with NO cheating and NO cliffhangers. Just a sweet, sexy HEA so you can get your swoon on.

What a great hero. Laney wasn’t my favorite heroine so Archer really saved this book for me. However, most of the time I get annoyed when the heroines forgive the heroes right away, this is the first time I’ve seen it the other way around. I mean, man Archer, she said some messed up stuff, make her work a LITTLE for it!
Una corta y sencilla historia de amor con personajes agradables e identificables. Sin embargo, no estoy de acuerdo con la forma en que Laney trató a Archer. Esa parte en específico estuvo de más.
“Well, I don’t want you,” she says. “Just like your mom didn’t.”
I find myself in the rare position of being fully on the guy’s side. Usually I’m equal or on her side, but in this? I’m on his side. She knew he wanted more and she knew she was going to let a computer algorithm decide their future. She should have been upfront with him about that rather than going along with it knowing he loved her and wanted forever.
And when she said she didn’t want him just like his mom didn’t!? I was furious with her and my heart broke for him.
And not even an apology. Sure, she went after him. But she didn’t apologize. She made a sign to greet him at the airport but honestly after so casually and cruelly dismissing him as nothing but a fling, he deserved more than a sign and a “kiss me”. Like she didn’t even really explain her freak out to him so as far as he knows her showing up is just a whim and she’ll go back to cold and dismissing him any time.
Archer is rich, a self-made man. He's sure of himself, and he's sure he wants Laney for his wife. He would even if he didn't HAVE to marry, due to the stipulations of his grandfather's will. Laney, however, knows they're not a match, and as the super-talented creator of the successful mail-order bride service at the heart of this series, that matters. As she looks for a potential match for Archer, he waves them all off, insisting she's the only woman for him. Will Archer win her over? Will she allow her feelings for him to overrule her system's algorithms?
This is a neat series premised on eight foster brothers having to marry in order to inherit their land, a ranch on which all of them found safety and security as troubled, desperate children. Their late grandfather, who outlived the foster parents, contracted with a mail-order bride service to ensure his wishes were carried out. There is so much to this series I tore through it one book after another. Very much recommended for those who love steamy cowboy romance books.
Laney is the Mail Order Cowboy Bride Matchmaker. Archer is her VIP client. She’s had her heart broken, told her body is repulsive because of an accident leaving her with burns over 50% of her body when she was 16 followed by multiple surgeries and skin grafts. He has to marry to receive his inheritance and he wants her… the matchmaker. She thinks she doesn’t deserve love. And no matter how much she wants him, according to her algorithm, they’re not compatible… He doesn’t want to take no for an answer. They’re gridlocked. Hopeless love abounds… So good! You’ll love this
I keep saying the same thing with Mia Brody but she’s a brave author! She’s become one of my favorites and love all her books, all of them with some serious and unexpected issues in the romance books world, But I need to say this: I want my Heroes to grovel a looot when they fuc… up, so, I want the same when the heroine is the one wrong and in this case, she said some awful things to him and the grovel is minimal, still, Heroes with this author are perfect and act good,
No cheating Safe Heroine has scars and burns on the 50% of her body,

I think this may have been my favorite out of the ones I have read. Mia just has this way of giving her characters such depth that the reader is invested so easily. Archer was just like he said a forever kind of cowboy. I still can't get over how Laney broke his heart with those words he heard from his mom. Smh...it amazes me how much our parents influence the way we see and feel love.
Good read. This was good. Archer was supposed to be getting a mail-ordered bride but ended up falling for Laney. Laney was embarrassed because of the physical scars she carried and felt she and Archer wouldn’t be a compatible match. Love proved her wrong. Good/great read.
This was very tender, at moments heartbreaking, but very, very beautiful. Amazing couple and great story! I could say - it is another angle to look at body pisitivity as well. In times when there is still so much pressure about the perfect body and ideal image, this story shows what is it really about we should care. Amazing!
Laney and Archer are perfect together. I loved how they came together and how much he wanted her from the very beginning. The gasp that came out of me when Laney said something to drive him away was loud. I hated her, but I knew that she was trying to run away from their connection. I still loved the story! It was entertaining and so steamy.
Archer and Laney are so perfect for each other. He's the cowboy who knows what he wants and she's the mail order bride matchmaker whose fallen in love with him. Great story. I recommend it if you love a happy ever after ending.
I get that the heroine wants to push the hero away, but honestly it was not okay for her to say she didn't want him just like his mom didn't. WHY would she say this? Some dramas are not believable and unnecessary. She could've just been HONEST, how about that?
I didn't like Laney after what she said to Archer the one thing his mother said to hurt him I couldn't believe that she said that to him.Especially the way she felt about being hurt because of her scars.
I love these books and Laney and Archer story is just as good as all the others. I can't put them down once I start reading. I love the dominance that rolls off Archer and how Laney just goes with it.
Laney owns and runs a matchmaking company. She meets Archer via the company as he's looking for a wife. Sparks flutter between. Will she share the reason why she's keeping her distance?
Archer is supposed to be matched to a bride by Laney, not be matched to Laney herself. But love has other ideas. Lol. Archer is a man who knows what and who he wants, and he doesn't let anything or anyone keep him from getting it or her. *swoon*
This was another fun read from the series. I’ve enjoyed each of these books. Archer and Laney were good characters. Each had sad things happened to them and their upbringing, but each overcame their past. You will laugh you will cry and hope for a happy ending.
I love Laney and Archer's story. The fact that she needs his strength and dominated ways compliments his desire to provide and protect. We all need an Archer in our lives.
