For better or worse manhwa
Ok!! First time I only read season 1 but I can back and reread it and finished all 3 seasons!! 4 stars overall, I still don’t know how I feel about the ending but eh oh well I won’t remember in a week anyway

Have you ever found yourself wondering why you are reading a certain book? Contractual Marriage to a Surly Duke is certainly one of those books for me. Maybe because it's not completely cliche, but also not entirely new and intriguing. It's sort of in between, which makes me keep reading without really having a specific reason as to why.
Selene has been isekaied into a book named "Lady Crown" as Armand's contractual wife. the problem is, in the story, Armand dies, and Selene is hanged as she has supposedly poisoned him. So as per usual, Selene should find a way to save her neck in the story.
As I mentioned, there are a couple of things that are different. 1. This contract marriage is actually not between the ML and FL bur rather between FL and ML's mother. 2. Selene's original character was actually not a villainess so it's not like Selene can just refrain from poisoning Armand then boom problem solved. 3. The story doesn't start with the isekaied Selene's life in real world, nor does it start at the beginning where FL is writing a contract with ML's mother. It sorts of starts in the middle of everything. 4. Unlike other isekais where FL uses her knowledge of the past/story to her benefit, Selene doesn't really make use of any information from "Lady Crown" and well, it's not entirely her fault either, because Selene and Armand are the backstory in "Lady Crown" and they're both dead when the story starts. Which kinds of make you wonder why make this an isekai at all? Just so that she knows she and Armand are going to die and so will actually do something to stop it?
Not really convincing.
I guess beside these small differences to the typical isekai manhwa, the thing that makes me keep reading is Armand's mysterious sickness. So far we are 60 chapters in and only recently there has been an actual clue about his sickness. There is also the question of what is mother-in-law scheming and whether she has a hand in Armand sickness.
Overall, it's pretty average. The art is okay but not really my taste. Won't recommend unless you've ran out of manhwas and are just looking for something decent. Or if you have kind of grown tired of reading your top-notch manhwas and are just looking for something more average to balance your reading plate.

February 20, 2022DNF: The artwork is beautiful. Sometimes when they open their mouth’s thought it’s all white on the inside which bothers me for some reason lol. Other than that I’m ngl this comic is pretty corny to me. The concept is cool, but the way re romance rolls out is predictable. The only intrigue for me was finding out the mystery behind the Dukes illness, but I don’t think I’m going to stick around to find out. It just wasn’t for me. I’d give it 2/5 stars.

There's so much potential but sometimes it does fall flat. I'm sure the novels have more background and details but sometimes it's a true bummer that webtoons don't keep the excitement there. But I will say, I want to know what happens so I'll be waiting for updates.

This was so frustrating to read the only reason I didn’t drop this was because the relationship between the MC’s was adorable it was a waste of good plot and storyline

FL has siblings, but before & after their marriage (even during the ceremony) siblings are nowhere; which i find strange

El argumento es inverisómil (como en la mayoría de webtoons), pero por algún extraño motivo funcionan y te enganchan.
En este, el duque en cuestión está muy enfermo y obligan a una chica de familia noble venida a menos a casarse con él. El objetivo de la suegra es que tengan un heredero, luego se queda con el niño, la nuera se divorcia, cobra y se va. Lo que pasa es que hay un par de cosas que a la chica le parecen raras y empieza a investigar.
Por cierto, nadie le ha pedido su opinión al sr. duque que de un día para otro descubre que le han casado y tiene que tener un hijo con alguien a quien ni conoce... y además, se encuentra mal! que está enfermo, leñe!
Como veo que no aparecen las demás temporadas, pues explicaré lo que me ha parecido el final: podría haber sido mejor. Acaba bien, pero la pareja protagonista hace algunas cosas y tienen algunas reacciones que no se entienden muy bien. Y, en mi opinión, la suegra, sale demasiado bien parada.
