"Amidst a Snowstorm of Love" is a historical western romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Abby moves out west to Montana with her parents, leaving her sister and her family behind in New York. Trying to adjust to her new surroundings, she meets an Indian man while walking through the woods behind their home. With some of the Indian tribes in the area attacking nearby ranchers, she finds herself in a difficult situation.
The story is about two people coming together from different cultures and shows the hardships they have to endure. The main characters of Abby & Keme are strong, loving, and compassionate towards all parties involved.
I like the fact that Abby introduces God's love to Keme and his people. An inspirational and uplifting tale.
The prejudice that the American white people have shown to the Indians is abhorrent. Keme and Abbey faced the injustice in this book, however Aurora, has brought us to a place of unity in their community and village. Abbey’s folks left New York for Montana on a wagon train and had never met an Indian, yet they allowed gossip in the new place poison their mind. Abbey met Keme while searching for herbs and mushrooms in the woods. They became fast friends and were fascinated with each other as they fell in love. Abbey ran out in a snow storm to warn Keme of her folks and others going after him with a gun as they had read a letter she sent her sister. She got lost in the blizzard and Abbey’s father ask Keme to help find her. He and his tribesman did and Keme asked for Abbey’s hand in marriage. A must read to get all the excitement, live and forgiveness in this wonderful story.
Abby and her mother and father live in New York. Her sister Naomi is married and has twins. Her father decides they need to move to Montana and start a ranch. Even though Abby would rather stay with her sister in New York, her father says no, she must go with them to Montana. After a terribly long and uncomfortable wagon train trip, they arrive in Montana, buy some land, and start their farm. On the way, Abby encounters an Indian man, Keme. She is fascinated and wants to know more about this man. There is talk in town, all bad, about the Indians. The white people in general hate the Indians, and do not even try to understand them. After some raids and deaths, the whites almost declare war on the Indians and their hatred grows, even though Keme's tribe is in no way involved with the attacks. Abby wants to learn more about the Indians, and Keme can help her with that. Read this wonderful story to see what happens with Abby and the Indians, and Keme. It is a very good read.
Aurora Hanson is a wonderful story teller! In this story we see Abby as an open minded free spirit! She accepts a person for who they truly are! She has an open heart in which she doesn’t accept what others say about a certain issue or person! I don’t want to say to much because I dislike giving the storyline away! This is a must read. You won’t be disappointed! The only thing is you won’t be able to put it down! HAPPY READING!
Very interesting details of of how people don't get along when the are different. This book is about an Indian and an American that accidentally fall in love and the way the country was and still is against people that are different. I enjoyed reading this but hated it took an almost tragedy for people to accept. Keep up the good work Aurora.

I enjoyed this Western story. I enjoyed how she wove the story of a young woman and a young Indian warrior falling in love. This is another really good story by this author.
Keme and Abby were such a sweet couple and it was so sweet seeing them fall in love even though they had to face their parents having issues with them being different cultures.
