Has some useful techniques for reducing eye fatigue and some general speed tips that I'll make use of even if I find skimming repugnant.

I found the text itself to be helpful in that "no, really, you HAVE to do these exercises" sort of way - although the examples are horribly outdated with tons of 1960s style adoration of technology and nature-must-be-conquered style crap.

Not a waste of time, but not a good time either, even if the writing and teaching seems sound. I'd have rather read an updated version, but the updated version wasn't 50 cents.

an interesting reading. i do find it contradict with another book (on speech reading) when it comes to using an object to guide the eyes and sub vocalization. overall a good book. i just need to practice reading faster.

I thought it made the topic fun. It wasn't stressful and the kids like the narrations so they think of speed reading as part of a game that is easy to play with and retain the data.
