Just That
He never asked anything like this from me.
In fact, he did not deserve anything from the start.
And he will not, ever, deserve anything from me.
Not even pain.
Because hurting him is like inflicting pain to my own self.
Even if I love him, we can only be JUST THAT-- nothing more.
Friends, best friends, enemies, strangers-- we can be anything like that. And JUST THAT.
But no matter how he tries to slap me with it, I still can't resist falling.
Kailangan bang maging mag bestfriend din ang mga anak ng mga mag bestfriend din? Si mama at ang mama ni Gabriel ay bestfriends. Si papa at ang papa naman ni Gabriel ay mag bestfriends din. Ako at si Gab? Kailangan ba kaming mag bestfriend din?
Ang kuya ko ay high school na, ang bunsong kapatid ni Gab naman ay grade three pa lang. Kaming dalawa, grade five, Kailangan ba naming maging mag bestfriends din?
Paano kung ayaw ko? At paano kung gusto ko siya...
Paano kung gusto niya? Pagbibigyan ko ba siya?
Paano kung ayaw niya? Pagbibigyan ko ba ulit siya?
O baka naman... kahit ano, ibibigay ko sa kanya dahil gusto ko siya?
Eto ang gumugulo sa isip ko simula pa noon. At hanggang ngayon, hindi ko pa rin alam kung ano ba talaga?

I also finished reading this story a few weeks ago. I can say that its storyline is much better than that of Downfall Chronicles. Both Celestine and Gabriel are more compelling than the lead characters in Downfall Chronicles. Although the storyline still has some childish and cringeworthy moments, I found myself hooked on every chapter. Therefore, I would give it a 4 out of 5.
