Tate and Audrey had dated in high school. She thought they loved each other, but he left and broke her heart. Now Tate is back home and he realizes how wrong he was to leave her like that. Now that he is an adult, he knows what he wants, and he would like Audrey back in his life. Can he prove to her that he realizes his mistake and will not walk away from her again? Will she forgive him and accept the second chance being offered to them to make the right choice this time?

This is book two of the Heroes of Tracy Creek series and the main characters are Audrey and Tate. They were friends all through school and started dating each other in high school, until he broke her heart by breaking up with her in their final year, as they began to mix in different groups. He started mixing with a bad crowd and they went their separate ways. He left town after graduation to pursue his wanted career, whilst she stayed in town to do what she loved to do, bake! She eventually managed to open her own bakery, which is very successful. When a good friend tells her about someone returning to town, she realises she means Tate and she has to work out how she is going to react when she finally sees him. She has never really gotten over her heart being broken, having thought they would be together forever. Tate has returned to a position as a firefighter for the local fire station. His real reason for being back in town is to try and win Audrey back, as he soon realised he had made a big mistake breaking up with her and now has to see if she will ever trust him again.
He starts by coming to her bakery every single day, to see her, taste some of her goods, and to try and talk to her. She used to be his best friend and was his first love, but back then he made a massive mistake saying she wasn’t cool enough for him and thought he wanted something different! He moved to start his career in a big city, but has never forgotten Audrey. When he ends up at her place for work for a fire, it brings them so much closer. He is desperate to check that she is safe and doesn’t even realise he has an injury due to his adrenaline spiking. He offers to help her with repairs and they get much closer. He asks her out and she hesitates to agree, not knowing if he might suddenly leave again. She doesn’t think she could cope with him breaking her heart again. He knows what he wants now and that is Audrey forever, for the rest of his life and hers. Now he has to somehow convince her that he won’t break her heart or abandon her again. Another fire leaves Tate injured and Audrey not knowing anything about it. This helps to temper her mind on what she really needs from Tate and to allow him another chance to love her and for her to love him in return. A short read with some steamy scenes and a couple taking a second chance at love. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Fate has stepped in to give these two a little push by way of a second chance because when you are young you do some really dumb things, make dumb choices and hurt the ones you love most. Audrey and Tate dated in high school was so in love with each other or so she thought but when he broke up with her to be with someone else and leaving their hometown well, he ripped her heart out and stomped on it. Tate sexy as all get out fireman dated his best friend in high school, broke her heart, and then left town to never be heard from again. Fast forward to today Tate is back in town a firefighter who isn’t the same boy who left but a man who has returned and wants to try to reconnect with his best friend and the other half of his heart. Audrey runs a bakery loves her job, but she doesn’t visit the past to often because the pain and questions are too much to bare.

A SWEET SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE!

Tate and Audrey were best friends and then high school sweethearts until he broke her heart by ending their relationship in their final year as she was not popular and sexy enough for his small minded brain!

Emily opened her dream bakery and Tate pursued his dreams......
Now he is back in Tracey Creek to work at the fire station and to win the one that got away- his flaxen haired beauty Audrey back!

A beautiful friendship and then relationship was ruined as a result of peer pressure and stupidity but will Audrey ever forgive Tate for his past mistake?

A fire causes the bakery to burn down to the ground but Tate builds it back up to a brand new bakery and in doing so he hopes to build the foundation for their fragile friendship and hopefully a more deeper relationship if Audrey wants the same thing!

Will he succeed in winning back the love of his life?

A short steamy second chance love story I can definitely recommend!

Tate and Audrey were high school sweethearts, but their relationship ended when Tate decide he was too cool for Audrey and their small town.

Well fast forward a few years, Tate is willing to do anything for a second chance with Audrey, but things don't go as smoothly as he hoped. I like that Audrey didn't just forgive and forget, but I wish that she would have held out just a little longer in the beginning of their re-connection.

I mean Tate dumped her in high school and started dating someone he felt was on his level the next day and then once he graduated he left their town because he felt he was better than it. Don't get me wrong the Tate described as a teen is completely different as a grown man, but a little obstacle before getting what he wanted was entertaining.

I would have loved to have seen this short story as bigger read.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Tate is the second book in the ‘’heroes of Tracy creek’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Tate and Audrey were once childhood sweethearts. When Tate broke Audrey’s heart, she was gutted. Years later and Tate is back in town to get his girl back. Will Audrey give him a second chance?
The chemistry between Tate and Audrey is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.

This is the 2nd book in the Heroes of Tracy Creek series featuring Tate and Audrey's endearing second chance romance. Tate broke Audrey's heart when they were in HS and it took her a long time to start picking up the pieces. Tate knows that leaving Audrey all those years ago is the biggest mistake that he ever made and now that he's back he plans to rectify his mistake. Will Audrey give him another chance? Can the baker and the fireman get their HEA? You really need to read this sweet story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Tate and Audrey had been best friends since kids and then dated before things went wrong in their senior year of high school. Tate moved away, but he is back and on the fire department, while she owns a bakery that has a huge following. He wants a second chance and she does too, but will he leave again? The characters are heartwarming and fully devoted to each other. The storyline has some fire drama, which really wakes them up, great banter and intense feelings along with the steam. Loved their chemistry and protectiveness. Great ending.

Tate has moved back to his small hometown. He's hoping to maybe get another chance at wining Audrey back into his life. They were an item until senior year in high school and then he broke it off and hurt her. He became a firefighter and she opened her bakery. They move slowly towards each other and then she tells him that she's still scared that he might leave. It's been a few days and she finds that he's in the hospital and she rushes to see him. Their chemistry is out of this world and Audrey has come a long way in trusting Tate. Great HEA.

A Lovely Story, a short this time, the story features friends to lovers and getting and hoping for a second chance. When Tate left Audrey, he left her heartbroken, and she had a hard time getting over it. When he is yes years back and knows that he should never have left her . Now he's back and hopes Audrey who now owns a bakery will give him a second chance, but will she dare to risk her heart again and give it that chance? You will get the answer if you read this book, it is highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this second chance romance story. Tate broke Audrey’s heart when he left and she’s just now picking up the pieces when he comes back. He wanted to go on big adventurous as a fireman which meant leaving her in their hometown. He knew he was wrong when he left all those years ago but he just couldn’t make himself come back. When her bakery burns down he season in and rebuilt it for her. Will they get their second chance?

This was a cute short story. Tate was back in town and Audrey didn't know what to think. He had broken her heart in high school and didn't know if she should give him another chance. When her bakery burned down, he helped rebuild it and they got close again. She was still afraid to trust him, but when he got hurt, she realized she loved him and would work on trusting him

The author has given us a quick read that pulls us into the lives of Tate and Audrey and does not let go. reconciling relationship

Audrey owns the bakery in town and everyone loves it.
Tate returns after 4 years and broke Audreys heart when he left.
Audrey is a little skeptical about getting back in a relationship but she still loves Tate.
Tate still loves Audrey and tries to show her that he will not leave again.
This author writes such emotional and loving relationships in her books.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Sweet short read when Tate comes back to town asking Audrey for a second chance. Simple storyline, yet to the point with nice characters and some backstory to why Audrey and Tate broke up in the first place. I liked how each owned up to their faults and reservations, in order for them to give love a second chance.

This is a well written quick easy read with great characters. I enjoyed this story and I think you will also. For me this was a quick read but that doesn't mean that it wasn't a great stoey. I would encourage everyone to get this one. It is worth your time.
