Am I somewhat biased since my sister wrote this book… absolutely I am. With that being said I take great care in my star ratings on Goodreads and I will not taint that with any fake reviews and star ratings here.
I genuinely enjoyed the book, I felt a connection with the characters and the “devoter” was definitely a creep I wouldn’t want to run into, day or night. The plot was full of suspense and I can honestly say that I am looking forward to reading the series, the ending made me want more.
Devoted from the Shadows loses a star because I like to be transported to a new location, in time and space. I wish there were more descriptors to help me visualize my surroundings, like I was able to with the characters.
I highly suggest picking up this novel and giving it a read!
I chose to read this book on vacation. I really enjoyed it. They characters are developed in a way that pulls you into the story and keeps your attention. Its just the right amount of thrill to keep you turning the pages, and enjoy without feeling overwhelmed.
