Monday Blue
Strings of fairy lights make horrible extension cords for personal pleasure devices. I found out the hard way when I started a fire with my excessive use of a high-powered massager. But to be fair, electricity has always been out to get me. Okay, maybe we’re more like frenemies. Flicker is a laugh-out-loud rom-com with two immediately lovable characters.
Bear is a nice, refreshing change of pace. His forthrightness about his feelings and fears, his limited sexuaI history, and the sweet relationship with his parents combine for one helluva swoony H.

Monday Blue + Bear
Monday just moved to town to be a school teacher. And she also kinda absolutely embarrassed herself in front of the hot electrician who was just trying to bring the lights back to her building.
It wasn't Bear's dream to take over his family's electrician business after his dad had a heart attack - but it is what it is. He loves his parents and he would do anything for them. So he's working on New Year's Eve - or rather in the middle of the night - to fix this apartment buildings power.
Which this cute girl destroyed with her ... ahem ... self-pleasure device.
LOL!
Super *sparks* on both sides - but Bear's dad's contract says no sparking with the residents of the building!
Let the fun times begin!

That was so adorable and hilarious!
I don't even know what more I could tell you without spoiling anything.
It was a super cute rom-com that you should not miss!
But it was also exciting and dangerous and so very electric! LOL!
And we also hate a lot on the mom and the ex. But at least the mom might get so much better in the end!
I just adored Bear - I'm not a fan of tattoos and piercings - but he was such an amazing guy - the way he would do anything for his parents. Ugh. So sweet! And his parents! I want amazing parents for all my heros and heroines in all my books from now on please!
I really liked reading this book - which by the way would look so good on Netflix!!
FLICKER was an adorable + hilarious + very sparky family-drama, rom-com love story!

Nothing special.

It is supposed to be funny according to the reviews i have read but there was not even one funny moment for me. Nope, not funny or fun at all. The vibrator event didn't make me laugh, it was definitely not funny. Making the heroine get caught in embarrassing moments is never funny for me.
Besides, its romance developed very quickly and the proposal was too early in their relationship in my opinion.
All in all, it wasn't too bad but i can't say I enjoyed reading it either.

The heroine is not consistent. One moment, she is this sassy woman with the hero but then she goes and dates the asshole who treats her like shit just because her mum wants it. It took her a long time to take her life in her hands.

It is not a hot book. The intimate moments aren't written well. Always a short summary in a few sentences.

Sadly, Flicker was a miss for me. Maybe I wasn't in the right mind to enjoy the crude humor and strange names because the story was weird.

This book was so good! I laughed so much throughout it! This story definitely gave me all the feels was full of laughter and swoon worthy moments it was sweet funny and all round feel good romance story that I didn’t know I needed to read and I’m so thankful I did!

I wasn’t SHOCKED 😉 how much I love this story and of course the phenomenal characters. Bear & Monday are characters that no one will ever forget. Truly an amazing feel good lol read that will have you glued too your kindle. Debra has done it again, another 5 star phenomenal read that everyone must one-click.

Well this story starts with a buzz and a spark lol
I adored both Monday and Bear. How they fought their attraction to each other. The fine line between love and hate that they toe.
I mean, Ms Anastasia had me expecting a laugh out loud adventure, and whilst I did have some chuckles (lounge room mural anyone) I found it so much more.
She had me at tattooed hottie haha, but the there were (again) crappy family, creepy exes to contend with and did I say tattooed hotties.
I really enjoyed Flicker, and wouldn't say no to more books like this from Debra Anastasia in the future.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I happened to read Debra's books when I was looking for an audio book , I came across one of her books (Mercy, which I also posted a recommendation on my page), I read and fell in love with her writing! When I saw she was releasing a new book I jumped on it🤩
Okay so for this book I would like you to stock up on the following products:
1. Changing underwear (for 2 reasons - because you're going to burst out laughing and that Bear is freaking HOT !!)
2. A punching bag or a good friend is available within a message / conversation distance (because you are going to release some serious steam on some characters🤬)
3. Inhaler (because this book is HILARIOUS in a all new level! I couldn't stop laughing, I laughed until my stomach hurt and I could not breathe properly🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣)
I opened this book and the first thing that happened to me was that I smiled and immediately afterwards I laughed out loud.
I swear the scene that opens this book was so funny, Monday Blue immediately made me fell in love with her😂😍
An electric explosion leads Bear to pass through the apartment building and repair the electricity
What he does not expect is Monday Blue, what he does not expect more than that is what caused the explode.😉🤭🤣
I think I fell in love with Monday as well as Bear.
She is so colorful, colorful and creative character, a strong woman who is not afraid to stand up for herself to prove herself time and time again, throughout the book she made me admire her more and more🦸🏼♀️❤️
I still do not know who wins the title of "The Most Unbearable Character" - Monday's mother or Ponsi but they both push the need to become an MMA fighter😡😡😡
I marked a lot of parts of the book - ones that made me laugh to tears, ones that made my heart turn into a sticky puddle of embellishments, ones which broke my heart.🥺
Debra took a lot of emotions out of me here❤️
An excellent book, I especially needed that🙏🏻
I was going through a bit of a stressful and not simple period, It made me forget about the situation and just laugh without a break.
So a huge thank you Debra 🏆👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

עדיין לא יודעת מי זוכה בתואר הדמות הכי בלתי נסבלת - אמא שלה או פונסי אבל שניהם עוררו בי את הצורך להפוך ללוחמת MMA😡😡😡
סימנתי המון חלקים בספר - כאלו שהצחיקו אותי עד דמעות, גרמו ללב שלי להפוך לשלולית דביקה של קישטיות, ששברו את ליבי.

If you're in the mood for a funny, super sweet romance, Flicker is the perfect choice. Monday and Bear are the perfect couple, and their interactions, especially in the beginning, are hilarious. If you need a rom-com, contemporary romance, not at all serious, quick, and entertaining, to satisfy and make you laugh out loud, grab Flicker and settle in! 5 Stars!

Flicker is one of the funniest books I have read in a good while. Thank goodness for electricity or there might not have been a Monday and Bear. If she hadn't been having a big old party with her B.O.B. then she wouldn't have blown all the electricity out in the neighborhood. They might have met in a odd sort of way but they are really great characters. They have great banter between each other and the sparks are literally flying. Who doesn't need a tattooed hottie in their life? Throw in come crappy ex's and families that are just not the greatest in the world and they have to deal with them and you have a lough out loud book that you will not be able to lay down. I loved every single second of this book and didn't lay it down until I was finished.

She was festive, I'll give her that. The jerry-rigged self-satisfaction station Monday Blue had in her bedroom was unique. Heck, it was flashing to a beat. Ever since I checked her fuse box, I wanted to fix a whole lot more than her current. Blinky lights have never been so tempting before. There's a strict no fraternizing policy between the apartment residents and our family-run electric company. I have no way to rationalize, naked mural she's painted of me on her wall. I need to face the girl of my dreams and demand she see things my way.
Can Bear and Monday turn each other on long enough to let a flicker become a spark.
Flicker is one of the funniest books I have read in a good while. Thank goodness for electricity or there might not have been a Monday and Bear. If she hadn't been having a big old party with her B.O.B. then she wouldn't have blown all the electricity out in the neighborhood. They might have met in a odd sort of way but they are really great characters. They have great banter between each other and the sparks are literally flying. Who doesn't need a tattooed hottie in their life? Throw in come crappy ex's and families that are just not the greatest in the world and they have to deal with them and you have a lough out loud book that you will not be able to lay down. I loved every single second of this book and didn't lay it down until I was finished.

This was a fun read. Bear and Monday meet when he comes to fix the electricity in her building. They immediately hit it off but they're not allowed to date because of the contract between the company he works for and the building. There are some very funny, laugh-out-loud moments. Some parts are a little more serious. They both have some issues with their families to work out. There is a good balance and I enjoyed this very much.

This book is adorable, just like the lady that wrote it! Monday Blue and Bear are just the sweetest. Definitely the kind of people that I wish that I could call up and have over on a Friday night! I love how they had each other‘s back‘s and were fun and spunky, they definitely had sparks flying lol ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You know how when something is poorly executed you know what they were aiming for still? Well. There were parts where I had no idea what we were even going for on this one. It was all over the place.
A lot of random and insignificant crap took center stage. Bear and Monday felt like side characters not main characters. It was weird. Not entertaining weird. Just... odd?
I could not tell you what the plot arc here was. They meet. They meet again. They sext. They meet some more. They kinda flirt. They text. They sext. They nearly date. They kinda date. They date.
I guess it's the Monday feels electricity hates her thing? Maybe the plot-less-ness was the problem. I don't need a plot if there's dynamic characters... banter? Chemistry? SOMETHING to snag my attention? Everybody falls flat.
Overall not terrible? I guess. Not good. But not terrible. You can put it down and forget about it at any time.
It's on KindleUnlimited. Taking up space in the garbage salad.

Monday Blue is a pretty special and unique heroine who turned put pretty amazing despite her mother and her class climbing aspirations. Her dad is ok, but capitulates to mommy dearest all the time. The best thing she ever did was move away from her family and come into her own as an artist and art teacher.
Bear is just boyfriend goals, people!! He's a dreamboat and absolutely perfect for Monday. His relationship with his parents is the sweetest, his overall outlook on life is one of his best qualities and wrap that up in his delicious large, tattooed frame... sa-woon!!!!
I adored everything about this book, especially the Poncy Peen Pic that rocked the uppercrust society she ran away from.

A power outage, a vibrator, fairy lights and a chipmunk come together in a hilarious and wild situation. It’s comical and very zany.
Monday and Bear are as quirky and unique as their names.
It’s a really sweet, unique and funny romance.
I love how electricity plays a major role in such clever and unusual ways.
Both characters are artistic and really caring, nice people.
They have big hearts and they appreciate each other’s kindness and their talents.
They both have been treated poorly and have been unappreciated in their past relationships.
It makes their appreciation of each other special and swoony.
Bear is a unique romance hero. He’s masculine, tatted and pierced, willing to punch a jerk and he’s also so freaking sweet.

While when it comes to electric two people cannot be further apart with their relationships with it, they find a spark between the two of them that will light up the sky!

I absolutely adored Monday and Bear's story from beginning to end. Their personalities and chemistry leap off of the page. Sparks flew and lightening crashed in this story for sure. Highly recommend for fun loving romance readers. Debra never disappoints.

Electricity. One person’s weakness, another one’s strength. That is most definitely the case in this story. Bear can certainly find his way around an electrical circuit, he can use it to make art (beautiful art), and he can most certainly fix it - dodgy wiring is his speciality, and he can definitely help to make it safe. Which is exactly what Monday needs, seeing as though she seems to be able to find herself in dangerous situations when it comes to electrical appliances. A fun, sexy, forbidden romance with art teacher Monday having lots of fun at Bear’s expense with her paint brush. Together sparks fly. I loved Bear. He was sweet, sexy, the perfect son, and very much perfect boyfriend material. Just what Monday needed after been treated abysmally by her selfish ex. A fun, sexy (and at times a little emotional) addictive romance. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I read this book because it was recommended in a Facebook group and the following quote grabbed my attention: “There were numerous strings of blinky lights acting as an extension cord for a high-powered vibrator.” As you can see that’s definitely something that will have you do a double take. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the book and that happened in the first chapter. Also, the book wasn’t really spicy. It was fade to black and non descriptive sex. Eh.
Anyways, the book was a bit too much and at times it was borderline annoying. The character names were the most cringe part. Monday Blue, Bear, Chestnut, Poncy, Volt, and Watts. *insert major eyeroll.* There were also major plot holes. I was reading an ebook but I swear there were pages or even a whole chapter missing because of some of the transitions.
Overall, the concept of the book was cute. An artistic girl coming into her independence blows a fuse with her vibrator and the handsome electrician shows up to save the day. Bear was the best part of the book, he was patient, handsome, a good son and just a perfect human being. I just wish it was better edited.
