I’m giving this boom 4 stars because there was a lot of repetition in what was talked about throughout the book. Most of which probably had to do with it being written by two people - a husband and wife. Also, I’m a little disappointed that there weren’t more detailed stories of their travel adventures. It was a lot of “self-help” type advice. I tend to read a lot of self-help books, so I’m totally fine with this, although the title itself was a bit misleading as I thought I’d be reading more adventurous tales than learning how to live my life like theirs. Regardless, I think it’s a good book that everyone should read at least once - whether or not travel is on their minds. I appreciate their encouragement to “create your own table” if there’s “no table for you to add your seat”. I’m all for encouraging others to go against the norm and create a life that best suits your individual preferences and this couple does a fantastic job portraying this message!

One last thing - in the section about the 20 Bucket List Adventures, I was very confused about the country in which some of these destinations are located. I know that this book was written by two Indian citizens, but had I not been given a copy of the book by my partner’s sister while visiting India, I wouldn’t haven known where some of these places were. Again, I understand that this couple has a following consisting of many Indians, but as a book written about travel for a worldwide audience, adding the country behind every single city listed would’ve been way more convenient for the reader.

I love Savi and Vid, but this book was not what I expected. I felt they could have written more about their travel experiences and kept the bit about digital entrepreneurship for a different book. It did not work for me.

Lovely journey of saavi and vid..living their life by their rules, truly inspiring. One star less as I was expecting more real stories of their travels across the globe and less focus on the digital entrepreneurship.

My love for traveling and exploring new places made me follow Bruised Passports on Instagram. Today after I finished reading this book, I am left with this lingering urge to travel again.

My husband picked up this book for us to read because we share the same love for traveling... and we expected this book to be a kind of travelogue. To our surprise, it was beyond that.

The book turned out to be a cocktail mix of Savi and Vid's travel stories and their journey as content creators. I love how they narrated everything and added their pictures to make the book interesting. Though I was expecting it to be a travelogue, I was happy to see that they have shared their tips to help those who want to become digital entrepreneurs.

While the book was really interesting, there were 2 things that could have been done differently here.
1. They could have written a separate book focusing on digital entrepreneurship
2. Though their international travels were no less than a traveler's dream, I wish they had shared more about Indian travel.

Over all, the book is really interesting, and if there is one thing I learned from Savi and vid, it is how to take that leap of faith and follow my heart.

I think I have loved Savi and Vid from the moment I stumbled upon their page on Instagram. Not only were they living my dream life, but their personalities were so attractive, always smiling and always with a kind word. They were sort of celebrities to me. Visiting different countries, living inthe go. Hence this book has been on my ‘’want to read’ list since before it's launch. But after reading this book, I have realised that Savi and Vid are just another me living their dream, which they worked really hard towards.

This book is sort of a guide to everything if you are a travel enthusiast. It tells you about the struggles before, all the dilemma, the questions. Savi and Vid provide with practical answers to all the questions of how? And when? And can I? Then it's takes you through inspiring stories that make you want to catch a plane right at that moment. Most importantly, this book made me believe that I can too achieve this dream of mine. And for this I am truly thankful!

Bruised Passports like how little girls, with stars in their eyes, look up to their super cool seniors, I was in for a treat when I started reading Bruised Passports. I share some common interests with Savi and one of them is the love for language. In this book, Savi and Vid do complete justice to that aspect. The storytelling, foreshadowing and other elements of writing are well in place. Laced with delicious visual imagery and experiences not everyone is lucky to have, Bruised Passports is like the dessert after a meal.

I follow Savi and Vid on Instagram and that is how i came to read this book. I read it in straight four hours and it is exactly what I expected it to be. The book is all about their journey - how they became what they are today and what valuable lessons life taught them along the way. It is inspiring to see people break stereotypes and chase what they love. The book is no literary delight, but I believe that is not the objective here. I gave three stars because there were too many repetitions and the language was too flowery at times. Sometimes, simple plain words can help you connect with readers. All in all, I would recommend all travel buffs to read this and get inspired

The book shares instances from the lives of the people behind the famous travel blog Bruised Passports as they travel the world and grow as digital entrepreneurs. For people who have been already following this blog over social media (including me !) , some part of book might sound repetitive & familiar. It's a short read which can be finished in 2-3 hours, hence is a good option to read when people are looking to switch between genre . My 3 takeaways from this book :

1) Dream, plan and pursue it
2) Authenticity is importance when choosing to create content
3) Accepting changes gracefully helps one in acting rather than reacting

Finished this book in straight two (2) hours, single sitting. Book by one of my favorite travel couple and blogger's, Savi & Vid, they are among the first ones who introduced the concept of travel blogging and sharing their experiences with an Indian audience.

This book was definitely not what I have been expecting from it, or I should say my expectations were way much higher and it did not do justice to it. Nonetheless, it was very refreshing to read their first-hand travel experiences and how they were successfully able to monetize it full time.

Good job you guys!

This book has my heart. ❤️ I have heard Savi and Vid speaking in so many of their videos that the entire time I felt like they are narrating the story to me. Every word seemed like it's them speaking it directly.

I completed the book in a day. Imagine the inspiration it can give that you don't want to leave the book until it's complete. It's a great book. Everybody should read it to beleive in their fairytales, more importantly how to start planning a fairytale life much in advance.

A good memoir of how they transitioned from careers they pursued for many years to something that seemed more relevant to them at a later stage. The experiences and learnings they shared from their journey were delightful to read.

A lot of the bad reviews complain about how this is not a handbook of 'How to be a Digital Nomad' but I was looking for a personal account of a career transition and world-travel journey and found this book to be every bit what it promised to be.

You might think this is a book about Savi and Vid's experiences or fun travel stories only. Well, its much more than that, they weave important life lessons, that they have learnt during the course of their travels, with such interesting stories. I did not expect this book to be so profound, I'm impressed.

Superb movie , a good read for travellers

I rated this 5 as it had an emotional connect with the authors. Some section of the book made me cry. They are authentic and there is lot of value material for travellers. I would definitely recommend this book for people who want to live a location independent life

The title is 'Bruised Passports'. I thought it's a travel book. It turned out to be more of a self-help book. Nevertheless, it's a nice book if you want to become what the authors are - nomads.

Please, Savi & Vid, seventy is not old. I will be reaching it soon and plan to keep travelling well past it.

The font size is nice and comfortable for reading.

Strong points - the couple’s story, a very positive vibe in the book, and a refreshing outlook towards life. What would have made this book better would have been a bit more detail on how they go about planning the holidays, and more meaningful content in the “how to build a digital brand” sections.

It's not a travelogue but a book about travel content creators. Short read and literarily good but contents are not upto the mark. Authors kept saying about living in suitcase which is not true in their case.

I liked the book, it was a swift read and easy language. My favourite section was the Part 1 though, kinda wished the whole book was written in that tone, but it caters to aspiring travel bloggers very well.

Enjoyed the first half, especially their journey from normal middle class youth into the world of full time travelers. The second half was more like a guide, more factual than with stories. Inspiring read nevertheless.

An absolute waste of time. The books talks of nothing that all the so-called influencers are not sharing on their stories and reels. The same message is repeated in the book. I expected a practical, honest, from the heart book, what I got was a lot of gyaan

Some of the content is good. The authors have included some valuable advice and have shared a lot of experiences from their lives. The travel suggestions are good as well! However, I found the content to be a bit unorganized and the writing to be quite haphazard.
