The Elementals: Fire

Rate this book
Sera was just an ordinary girl, or so she thought— that is, until her parents were killed in a freak car accident, thrusting her into a mysterious world of wealthy relations she never knew existed. A world that, until now, had been hidden from her.

As her sixteenth birthday approaches, dark secrets converge, and Sera's reality is further shaken when she falls for the alluring yet forbidden Adam Crandall. This earthy stranger ignites something dangerous deep within her that she doesn't understand. Is he the key to unlocking the mystery surrounding her, or will he only lead to more questions?

To make matters worse, someone wants her out of the picture. Could it be her archrival Bree, who is somehow connected to Adam and wants him all to herself? Or is something else responsible for her near-fatal mishaps?

My name is Day Parker and I hated reading, until a friend of mine lent me a book, "The Lifeguard" by Richie Tankersley Cusick, when I was thirteen. From there, I was hooked and never again without a book. I read all of her books and many more. I still remember the anticipation of waiting for the next book to be released, impatiently thinking, can’t you write faster—for which I now apologize. The exhilaration of being lost in another world, was for me, the best thing ever. I knew then that I wanted to be a writer. I wanted to make others fall in love with reading as I had. I hope I've succeeded.

Thank you,
Day

**received through Goodreads Firstreads (yaayy^_^)

First off the opening line "Death comes for us all" was a perfect start. That got me hooked immediately.I loved the way the story so flowed well together. As far as the book's content well i loved every part of it. The characters seemed to come alive and it just blended so well together. This includes the shocking ending. Or at least shocking to me. (i was reading this in class and i may have yelled at the book...) I shouldn't have been shocked but the last 2 chapters were just rather surprising.

On a different note i think the only thing that should maybe be added would be 'romance' to the genre list along with whats already there (FICTION/Fantasy/Paranormal) because that's a big part of whats going on. To me it seemed like the book had a lot to do with Adam and Sera bonding and attempting to be together. and i'll admit that was a big part as to why i love it so much.

The ending left me wanting to scream so much for more than one reason. for starters i want to know what happens when Sera tells the family about Air doing all the bonding tampering. And second I NEED THE SECOND BOOK SO BADLY. THIS HAS GOT ME HOOKED, IT'S THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK ABOUT AND I NNEEEDDSSS IT. TT.TT Third i need to know what happens to everyone and how the rest of the story goes. I can't handle not knowing.

Day Parker your book is astounding and i can't wait for the next one. (i feel so lucky to have received your book)

Enticing!
Loved the opening line, "Death comes for us all." A good book can draw you in by just that line. Which it did. Instantly I was able to visualize as i read.

Incredible! I really want another book in this series. I will definitely recommend this as a read! This author has a great future ahead!

what's book 2?!

I received this book, far too long ago, in a Goodreads giveaway, but am very glad I entered. A paranormal fan, this book did not disappointment. The action was very fast moving, with no dull moments. Being a young adult book, the main characters are high school students, but without the typical teen angst. Yes, there is "romantic conflict", but the characters are more mature, perhaps because of their secret talents, and respond in more of an adult way (okay, the violence is clearly an emotional response, but we all want to do some of the things these kids do). I'm definitely looking for book 2...

Did not stop reading til the last page.Totally like this book!!!
"Death comes for us all"
"Anger is sometimes easier to deal with than pain"
"once thought clouds resembled a blanket of cotton over the world, protecting it. Now I realized, that had just been my naive and innocent view of cruel world. "
"Events occur throughout our lives that forever alter us, and it is how we react to those circumstances that define who we are."
can't wait for Book two.

Cannot wait for the 2nd book!!! It was lovely how the author was able to place you in each scene without over doing it. I would say a young adult category is perfect for the story. Kudos!

*The Author sent me a paperback copy for a review. My Review is based on my HONEST opinion.

When the author Day Parker asked me to review her book, i read the review and thought this book was gonna be interesting. And in a way it was interesting but some parts in the book would lose me. I want to first start with some positive of these book. I really loved the whole concept of the book. And really liked how Day Parker took a twist with the concept of Elements Earth, Air, Fire, Water. The book could get super intense at times.

Now the story did feel like a soap opera a lot. There is a lot of Love drama going on it the book. It has this whole forbidden love, Love-Triangle in the mix and all i could think about was that i was reading a Soap opera. The book was definitely missing some more Suspense and Action. I did find my self getting confused on what the real plot of the story was and what was going on. Like there would be all these cool parts in the book but it was just hidden behind the drama. I had a hard time connecting to the characters in the book, they didn’t stand out to me. Specially the main character. She will say one thing and do the next and i just couldn’t understand who she was as a character.

The story wasn’t all bad like i had a love/hate relationship reading this book it just needed more and then i would have been all over this book. I really feel like my follow readers will like this book. Since lately they all been about these types of books. The story has a really get concept that i did enjoy. It is a easy and simple read that readers will find relaxing.

I do recommend the book and for readers to take the chance to read this book. Just because did end up loving the book doesn’t mean it’s bad( I have read worse ). I wasn’t feeling the book all that much but that just me. I do see a great story hidden and i do look forward to read the next book and i hope it gets better and we get to see more in this serious then Romance. I do have mix feelings for this book and have hope for it to get better the more the series goes on. So i am gonna keep my fingers crossed.
