Dakota “Kode” Moretti has it all, money, power, respect, and a daughter whom he loves like no other. His legacy has been handed down to him by birthright whether he likes it or not, so he steps up like the legend he is destined to be and handles business. With all of his power, he finds himself attached to a disloyal, treacherous woman and a void in his heart that is only partially filled with the love he has for his princess.
Aara has lost it all. Her entire family was taken away in the blink of an eye. She finds herself building a wall around her heart, only allowing enough space to deal with people that she is unable to build relationships with. The only light in her life is her work and her best friend until an innocent day at the coffee shop brings the very unexpected into her life.
Neither Dakota nor Aara are looking for love, but when they find themselves in the same space, sparks fly, and the pull is too strong to keep them apart. As much as Aara fights the pull, she just can't seem to stop her heart from wanting what it wants, and that's Kode. Life is messy, and sometimes love just isn't enough. Find out if love conquers all or if these two are destined to never find an everlasting love.

Not a fan of the situation with Kode and Aara. He should have made sure his business was in order and she should have waited IMHO before taking it there. Then Aara wants respect??? How about respect yourself first IJS. Their situation was all complicated and I’m not a fan and no matter how you slice it or dice it you still a “side dish”. This CA situation was messed up AF.
Tate hmmm folks don’t be happy and they got everything. She was so grimy ugh 😑 I got no words or the words I want to say this review will not get posted so I’m keeping it PG.
Entertaining read but will refrain from mentioning things since don’t want to give spoilers.
Also a bucket load of errors that were distracting and changed up the sentence structure.
Yes! Yes! Yes! 🙌🏾 I loved this one. The way Kode love Belle…I was here for it. Then when it turned out that she might not be his but his father’s!!!! I was like what!!!
Great storytelling but lots of typos unfortunately
Really love these characters and everything about their stories. Definitely recommend! Only disappointment are the typos throughout the book. Not sure how such an accomplished writer didn’t have a better proofreader. But it ultimately did not distract from the wonderful storytelling and this is coming from a reader whose goal is to read 200 books every year…
This was good 👍 It had layers that made the story better and not just longer. I was enjoying the book Baes (yes its 2) We get two people whom struggle from different levels as far a healing with family and se see the journey of a man whom is not letting his peace go. Add in some mob like moments and it was very good.
She’s done it again! I’m loving these re-releases! It was some snakes in this book but I’m glad everyone got that karma! Aara was a sweetheart! She deserves her hea! Kode was that dude! Y’all grab this
Sorry I did not like Aara. She was a walking contradiction all book. If Kode breathe wrong she mad. But PREZ!!!! SIS GIVE ME MORE ON HIM AND EVVY! Because Kode and Aara play too much. What happened with his dad? I need answers lol
Dakota had a lot of power but he had a hard life he never got to be a kid couldn't even trust his on father and Aara deserve someone to love her because she lost her whole family
I was ninety percent of the book and the villians were still breathing, I was trying to figure it and just knew things were about to be rushed. I was right we need a sequel or something to update us on things including Rome and Egypt.
Tatum and Kode father was just nasty. Everything they planned back fired on then. I was glad when Zo and the Amato clan got but out their misery. Aara was good for Kode.
This book was so good yet so chaotic. Everything about it kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. Definitely a great read!
