An autobiographical account of the life of one man telling of his ancestry, his boyhood on a farm in southeastern Idaho, his LDS mission to the Northwest, his days in WWII, his education, subsequent marriage and professional life as a professor of English at Brigham Young University.
My former high school English teacher loaned me this massive tome. I read it with interest and enjoyed all of the historical contexts. His attention to detail makes it a valuable representation of his time in history. Professor Clark was well-known for his joint authorship of Out of the Best Books--a five volume anthology used as the course of study in the Relief Society organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the 1960's and 1970's.
