Elephinity: The Saving of a Hero
A few years after World War 2, tormented veteran pilot, Benny James crashes into the Pacific Ocean, leaving him stranded on an island, and his daughter home with no one to look after her. This is a story that bounces between daughter, Molly, who has been left orphaned by the accident, and her father, Benny who she desperately believes is still alive, despite others telling her otherwise.
On the island, Benny battles the demons of his past, while struggling with the idea of his daughter being left alone with no one else to look after her. He must now learn the ways of the indigenous people who decided to take him in. Will the Pacific Island natives show him how to live again, even after losing everything?
Back home, little Molly’s dreams seem to be keeping her dad alive. Even after everyone else has told her he’s been dead for 2 years, she insists she will dream him back to life. Every time she falls asleep the story of Benny on the island resumes. Hoping that if she dreams enough, he will come back to her.
Months before the accident, Benny and Molly received a gift from a mysterious old man, two stuffed elephants. Molly kept one, and Benny the other, creating a magical bond, and holding the key to an endless fountain of happiness and wonder. Some special visitors even come to visit Molly and Benny while they are apart, with messages of hope and faith. How’s yours? I love this book 📖. The author ✍️ has a wonderful imagination and can’t wait to read his next one ❤️
