Stablecoin Evolution is an updated and semi-organized collection of notes on this important topic. The authors have gathered many details on different types of coins, protocols, purposes, etc. Encyclopedic fact presentations are supplemented by textbook or academic paper-like efforts to characterize and categorize. They do not work as well as they could have because of highly uneven writing and light-touch editing.

The book is also devoid of almost any opinions - it often resembles an anthology of short project reports assigned to a group of individuals. To a degree, it works for readers trying to learn this extremely important topic without getting too many colored views. The book, however, will need a constant updating given how rapidly the field is evolving almost every month.
