One of the best authors to read if you want to learn about Dialectical Materialism and the synthesis of Marxist theory.

[Lesa Ruby]

This book sits somewhere in the middle for me. On one hand, it does a decent job laying out the basics of dialectical materialism and gives a structured overview of the theory. On the other hand, it’s not very reader-friendly. The tone is very formal, and it assumes you already have some background knowledge. If you’re a student of philosophy or political theory, you might appreciate it more. For general readers, it’s a bit of a tough climb.

Dialectical materialism is very old philosophical tradition, since the ancient philosophers, dialectical materialist philosophy develops in the different schools in the world.
