So I was not expecting the naughtiness in this story. I read the synopsis thinking it was going to be a cute love story. It definitely was not. I don't know how I missed it because it clearly says on the cover of the book that it is a Valentine's Day erotica. I guess I'm so sappy I completely disregarded the erotica part and thought that this was going to be a Valentine's Day love story. I was definitely caught off guard by the erotica. I'm not a prude, I was just waiting for the love aspect of it and it never came...But Cherish sure did 😉😌
But all this said, this was a pretty entertaining naughty read.
Sweet and Sour is definitely a fitting title. Sonny was def. sour and rude and a bit reckless with his mouth and Cherish was just a timid sweetheart, boy mom who most definitely got brought out of her comfort zone.

So this is a petite enemies to lovers erotica! I went in with no expectations and didn’t expect the storyline to go from 0 to 100 on the spice level so fast. For me, it was questionable that Cherish was so quick to become sexually involved with someone who showed such strong animosity during their first encounter. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the story for what it was.

He was allowed to be a jerk but the woman had a personality switch/growth cause of his "dominating" sex approach? (Dominating in quotes cuz thats what ppl would call it but thats not how it came across to me. He was just doing shit without permission. & it's just "accepted" by the woman...it just feels very male gaze fantasy to me...)

I was fortunate to get a copy during the All Black Book Affair. The novella centers around Cherish, a single hard working mother and Sonny, an arrogant professional athlete. They hook up at a Valentine’s Day sex party after previous run ins at Cherish’s job.
The author writes the sex scenes vividly and doesn’t sugar coat. I appreciated the author’s warning at the beginning of the novella about the contents.

Ms. Rose this was fantastic, and I am in awe of your growth as an author. You titled this book perfectly because Sonny was sour while Cherish was sweet. Sonny was a little too arrogant for my liking initially. He did lighten up as he and Cherish explored each other. He has the potential of being a gentleman and a great partner in the future. I was cheering for Cherish as she was blooming out of her cocoon. She was gaining more self-esteem and confidence the more Sonny uplifted her. It was great to read Cherish live out some of her fantasies without feeling ashamed. She deserved to be carefree even if it was only for one night. I know this was a novelette but I wanted more on these two. I am looking forward to them popping back up shortly. I am wondering by the time we see these two again will the personalities be reversed Cherish be "sour" and Sonny be the "sweet" one.
This is a good read, and I highly suggest it. Download and/or purchase and get into it.

Alright Sonny and Cherish!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed their story!! I couldn't put it down!! The sex scenes were amazingly written and very detailed. I loved this book from beginning to end!! Sedona Rose definitely did her thing with this one, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for Sonny and Cherish!!!

What a great read. Short and sweet but packed a big punch. Definitely had me looking around for my husband after each scene. Explicit and detailed just the way I like. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for Sonny and Cherish.

- This book was really just all about the smut.😭😭I mean geez @sedonarosewrites you definitely did that. I need more of Sonny and Cherish like neowwww.
- Sonny is this world famous baseball player who is lowkey cocky but in the best way. He knows hes that boul and thats why he be acting like that. Anyway onto my sis Cherish, when I read "modest locs" I just knew this book was finna give. Cherish is this single mama who is making the impossible possible lol. She is raising her son and never takes time for herself until my Sonny. When she meets Sonny she starts to live for herself more and we love her for that. She takes risk and lives in the moment more.
- Now fair warning the book definitely starts out mad crazy. I almost dnf off that alone but once you get to that smut🥵🥵. Anyway Sonny and Cherish are just a vibe and that valentines day party🫣😏. It was short and sweet. Now I am mad that it wasn't an epilogue and that blew me. However this was a good book and it was written well too the chemistry was most definitely there. I would have rated it higher if it was longer. It's supposed to be a series so hopefully the next book gives us more. Even the little chapter headings were cute.
- This book is definitely for the girlies that love spice. Get into this one fasure.

A lot of reclining
The story was short, and yet there was an extra, extra amount of horizontal action in the story. Now, I was creeped out with the Yes, Daddy part. I'm not sure why that does not..... Nevermind. Anyway, other than that part the story was okay.

Sweet & Sour had me heated in the beginning because Sonny was flat out rude over some nasty coffee. I was right there with Cherish like, sir, calm down. But once he came back to apologize, everything flipped. The man went straight into seduction mode and suddenly the story started matching the title perfectly. He came in all sour and stubborn, but the sweetness crept in the second he realized Cherish was worth slowing down for.
Cherish is better than me because that coffee would have been flying, but she handled herself with grace and fire. What I loved is how Sonny helped her step out of her shell in ways she did not see coming. The chemistry between them was strong and the spice was absolutely present. And the wild part is that it all ignited in one night. Their connection was bold, grown, and full of tension, but also tender in moments where you could tell they were letting their guard down.
By the end, Sweet & Sour became a story about unexpected attraction turning into something real. It showed how a bad first impression can shift when two people actually take a chance. Sonny softened, Cherish opened up, and together they gave this story its name in the best way. It is spicy, emotional, and the kind of romance that takes you from irritated to rooting for the couple before you even realize it.

I had this one on my kindle for a minute and deserve to be put on punishment for waiting so long to let this one up at bat. Baseball is one of my favorite sports, and it's rare I get to enjoy a good sports romance centered around it. Sedona Rose's pen did this one much justice. Seeing the evolution of Sonny and Cherish unfold in the page was toe-curling, leg-crossing, cewchie-clinching goodness that I never knew I needed. Sonny was my kind of guy with his arrogance, idolizing possessiveness and praise. Cherish was a heroine I like a lot she's about her money, her son and by the end of the book her pleasure too. Sonny and Cherish met while Cherish was working and Sonny treating her like shit. When Sonny is made to apologize to Cherish, he offers her an offer she couldn't refuse. After one night of great sex, Sonny is looking for more, but Cherish is hesitant. This was a great introduction to Sonny and Cherish. Sonny was very hard to like in the beginning, but when he showed Cherish what she was missing, I liked him, alot. Cherish just wanted to be a mother and finish school, but she also wanted to experience love. Sonny and Cherish were perfect for each other and it showed through their story. Conflicted by Sweet & Sour
“Sweet & Sour”, is my first read by Sedona Rose. The book itself was good. However, I’m conflicted! Why is it acceptable (for men) to objectify women, as though it’s honorable?🤦🏾♀️..I had an issue with Sonny & all the Sonny type of the male species clowns (in the universe) perpetrating as the epitome of romance/romantic gestures 🤨🤦🏾♀️‼️. Foremost, to utter “good girl” to a woman is offensive & condescending😤!..Cherish is an adult not a puppy. Thereafter, women PSA: wear panties & panties shield..please don’t leave or leak DNA on public furniture, chairs & or benches .. that’s just nasty 😤🤷🏾♀️‼️…Maybe I should have read something else as an introduction to this author⁉️

Although short and quick, the story was just okay to me. It didn’t flow organically. Sonny was plain old mean in the beginning but I’m glad his mom got him together and Cherish checked him eventually. The story was too short for Sonny to redeem his initial behavior and build a rapport with Cherish.
I’m not a fan of mixing real and fictional professional sports teams names. It lacks creativity. Kia Sport also isn’t a car. A lot of grammatical errors as the story progressed.

Ooo weee I’m still fanning myself after reading this book! This was my first book by Sedona Rose, and I have to say she did her thing!
I’m here for a man with a reckless mouth by Sonny was on go from page one… nah like literally page one! I was turned off immediately however… that changed😏😝. Now although I loved Cherish, I was a little worried about her cute and sweet personality mixing with Sonny, but I shouldn’t have worried this book was perfectly titled Sweet and Sour.

What did I just read I fell this ain’t no skydiving I’m literally down in love with these characters and let me tell you that Sonny might deserve a good slap for his arrogance but good sis Cherish is having the time of her life and I’m here for it !
I didn’t really what to expect from this and I just realised that the less I know about a book the more open minded and welcoming of what the story has to offer.

The perfect mix of sweet and sour
This story was chef's kiss for Valentine's Day or really anytime. From the beginning, you're hooked and want to learn more about Sonny and Cherish and what will happen next between them. From the scene in the mall to hotel room, this will leave you truly hot and bothered so don't read this around just any and everybody lol

cannot WAIT for the follow up!
Loved this story and loved me some Sonny even more!! Cherish has a hell of a support system that I found so incredibly sweet. But there’s something about the jerk that sonny is that I loved lol. Can’t wait for summer for the follow up to see what becomes of their relationship!
