It’s my first day working for the Salt Lake City Stallions marketing team.
But instead of running their Twitter account?
They give me the worst assignment
Being the Personal Assistant to Dominic DeMarco.

Dominic is the team’s smoldering bad-boy.
Whether flicking off cameras or getting into fist-fights at bars,
The tattooed running back refuses to be controlled.
Which sucks, because controlling him is literally my job .

For the next few months, I’m basically his babysitter.
Following him around on dates and to clubs, while simultaneously working on rehabbing his public image.
But after spending every waking hour with him in the off-season?
I realize his charm is a lot tougher to control than his actions.

While the Stallions attempt to defend their Super Bowl win,
Dominic and I attempt to stave off this intense, burning desire.
Will our sizzling love affair gain traction?
Or will we come up a yard short?

FOURTH QUARTER is a scorching sports romance filled with humor, suspense, and football-related excitement. It can be read as a standalone novel, or as part of the Salt Lake City Stallions series. HEA guaranteed!

Not going to lie, I'm so disappointed with this book. I literally had to force myself to finish it due to the hero being the type I despise the most. Listen, it wasn't a bad story, but I didn't enjoy myself one bit.

Dominic ruined this book for me. I know the point was to make him unlikable, and the author did that alright, but it was just too much. This man was an insufferable manchild, a player who brought a different woman every night in his bed, had no motivation for his job, didn't care what people thought of him, was rude and just an asshole all together. And sorry, but the excuse of 'but dogs love him so he mustn't be all bad' didn't change my opinion of him one bit. He did show some progress and change in his behavior eventually, but only for like what...20% of the book? And then he fell back into his hold stubborn habit of not caring about anyone or anything. And at the end, when he did grovel, I just didn't care anymore. It was too late for my opinion of him to change. He was everything I hate in a hero. But good for him, I guess, he got the girl and his happy ending, even though he didn't deserve any them.

The only reason I finished this book was because of Camille who really held my hand throughout. Her personality was too good for Dominic. She was a sweet young woman with a positive mindset and always working hard. She was also very patient and resilient but too forgiving. When she started developing feelings for him, once he made an effort to become a better man, I couldn't really believe it. I'm not really a resentful person but towards Dominic, I really felt like he was unredeemable, especially because of the way he treated Camille most of the book. He never really apologized or took accountability for anything bad that he did, and yet, Camille just accepted that he was the way that he was. She did stand her ground and let him grovel near the end but I don't know. She was honestly too good for a man like him.

I didn't really feel the romance as half of the book was about Dominic hooking up with women and making Camille's job as difficult as possible. I didn't see the charm in the enemies to lovers trope, but I would say I'm glad they became friends before becoming lovers. I'm just sad by the way the author went about this whole thing. It did make sense for Dominic to develop feelings for Camille since she was always hard working, and friendly towards him, having his best interest in mind, etc. She was lovely and charming. But for her to develop feelings was unbelievable to me since he'd never been nice to her. I really wished the hero had needed to pursue her and actually put the effort in, proving that she was special to him. Then maybe my opinion of him would've slightly changed.

Overall, the story wasn't all bad but I really didn't like what I read. Not what I was expecting at all and so out of the box of what I'm used to with K.T Quinn's books. They are usually comfort reads with mostly likable characters. This one lacked in romance and chemistry. I didn't even highlight anything, which I usually do when something swoony happens or is said. Not her best work, sadly...Hopefully the final book in this series will be more my cup of tea.

Would I recommend this book? I think it's good to read this series in order, even though they are all considered standalones. Many of the characters make appearances or past events are mentioned here and there, and it's nice to have knowledge of them. As a standalone, I wouldn't personally recommend it to my safety gang.

Dominick & Camille

After their tense meeting in the elevator where she tried to sneak a picture of him which he made sure she deleted - Camille comes face to face with Dominick at a staff meeting where she is to begin her internship.

He needs an assistant to keep him out of trouble and he decides to mess with her and insist on her being his assistant.

I enjoyed this story because it was interesting that their attraction was slow going. Dominick went from bringing a different girl home every night to thinking of only Camille.

They definitely had a connection that lead to something more. It took Camille asking to get reassigned to her original purpose for Dominick to realize that she means more to him than just a fling.

I’ve read a bunch of books lately by authors I normally really enjoy, but didn’t particularly love the most recent storylines. This book is another one of those. This is Book 4 of the Salt Lake City Stallions series. The writing is great and the story flows, but I really really hated the first third or so of the book and the interactions between Dominic and Cami. Dominic gets Cami appointed as his personal assistant/babysitter after some not so great press, because he thinks he can walk all over her. He then proceeds to be a major jerk to her and around her, including some super obnoxious interactions with other women while Cami is with him. I just couldn’t get past that, which made me really dislike Dominic even as we learned more about him.

Another winner

I just love this series.

Yet again, K T Quinn gives us everything I this book.

Dominic was certainly a character worthy of the leading man.

For someone who knows absolutely nothing about this American sport, each book in the series has taught me more. I've got two holidays lined up this year to the USA and her words have made me want to experience first hand this sport. And of course, those handsome hills playing it!

Loved it!

I love this series! So happy to read a football book that actually knows football! I am a football coach's wife, football mom and fan of all things football. It is refreshing to read about real game situations and things that really happen in a game. I love the romance, too, but the football talk makes it that much better!!!!

I'm cool with a morally ambiguous hero. I'm cool with a grumpy hero. But I HATED this hero. He is the absolute worst. That he loves animals and his mom does not make him redeemable.

Not a bad book, the H was a complete toolbag and it took me ages to actually warm up to him. and even by the end of the book I was like omg she could do so much better.

Dominic was actually really horrible, and as a book bf I was like ewwwww. He was just like every other "bad boy" sloppy and gross. This makes me think why are we not writing stronger, better female leads, why do they always just settle for the bad boy. And thats what I felt was happening, not love. But the h was low in self esteem so she thought this is the best I am gonna get and settled.

I wanted a better.
