I chose this book for its ratings and she is an African American doctor and I am an African American female. I wanted and needed the perspective of a doctor that knows my culture and that is exactly what I received. The book had excellent information regarding education on high BP, what to stop doing and what to start doing to get on the track to preventing high BP or reversing it. I love that she gave a natural and holistic approach options along with the fact that you may need meds for a while to get it under control but, you can also do these things to get off meds. I have my appointment with my PCP tomorrow regarding my BP and this book gave me the information I needed to be able to ask relevant questions regarding high BP. Thank you Dr. Frita!
