It's usually the small, unassumingly beautiful pixies who bring the big tough guys to their knees, short-circuit the mastermind and unconsciously consciously get their way and achieve the happy ending.
Oh this was cute, sweet, cuddly and so entertaining, I guess I've blocked out the sinister part again or perceive it as a means to enhance the romance.

I loved the hero in this novel! He is so cold and calculating, but he is totally unraveled by his attraction to, and then love of, the heroine! I liked how this novel tied into the longest running series written by the author, and we saw a little bit of previous characters from that series in this book. I cannot wait for S’quent’s book! I liked the higher risk and danger that the heroine’s pregnancy added to plot. The stakes in this novel were sky high, which is just where I like them. The heroine was super sweet and sympathetic without ever tipping into Mary Sue territory. Highly recommended!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

June 26, 2022I'm not grading this one as I didn't get far enough to know it wasn't for me so I DNF'D it. There wasn't many details given. The heroine was taken from Earth and somehow ended up on some prison planet. No explanation was given as to how they could all talk and understand each other. I know you have to suspend belief when reading this genre but things just need to be explained.
The hero is described as looking like a demon. I don't like romance with that kind of hero. Plus he was some kind of politician- some would say they are one and the same. Me for example. I don't read books with political heroes/heroines.
There were a number of scenes, even though I didn't get far where I just thought no, don't think so. Seemed this book was heading into sex above storyline and I was out.

Fine entertainment!
Leavent is awesome. Packed with power (physical) and political clout, he doesn’t mess around! Even he finds the woman perfect for him in the horror that is the prison. Sophie comes with a little something extra. She doesn’t have much experience, but when she knows what she wants, she isn’t shy about getting it! This story wraps up the story of the three brothers and their women. It’s been a very exciting journey, learning about their complex relationships. I totally love the epilogue! So very much is revealed! Splendid writing!

As the third book in the Folsom Planet Blues series, Mastermind follows Leavent and Sophie. A fun and wild ride ensues for our heroine and her hero. Sophie is smart and kind while Leavent is accustomed to political machinations. The pair strikes the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The series is well worth the read and Mastermind continues the trend-setting everything up perfectly for book 4 which I look forward to reading when it comes out. I highly recommend this book to anyone who just wants to read something wholesome with a little bit of an edge to it.

I really loved this one! Poor Sophie is stolen by aliens and she's pregnant. She ends up at Folsom prison. Leavent comes looking for answers about his brothers, Altrez and Riker. (See books 1 and 2.) Luckily, Leavent, who seems very cultured and pretentious, is astounded that the warden has a human female and seeks to protect her by taking her as his "prize." Let me tell you, I just love how he is with Sophie. I mean at one point Leavent washes her hair and I'm just giddy over that! It's a bit of a Beauty and the Beast situation as she's tiny (and pregnant/sick) and he is huge. This story had quite a bit of humor. You'll see what I mean when you read it. I loved the family theme, the action, the steamy stuff, and the epilogue is EVERYTHING! Dare I say that Mastermind is the best one in this series! A great surprise! 5 stars

Okay, real talk - can I just say that this book gave me so many happy feelings to the Folsom Plant Blues?
Initially this series started dark with the main characters finding themselves in dangerous prison. Forced to fight, battling political games with guards and finding ways to escape were some of the many obstacles they faced to survive.
Along the way, we learned that there is tension between the brothers in book 1 and 2. Although two of the three brothers found their mates, it is finally time for the oldest. Now, this story takes a completely different approach then the first two by showing the power that Leavent has by demanding a tour the facility in search of his brothers. LOVED the change of pace for this book and the unique approach it has with Sophia situation. It gave a completely different dynamic then the previous books, which I think is really important when doing a series. (I know I am being vague, but I don't want to give too many spoilers away!)
Seriously, this is a great world to get lost into and Honey Phillips ALWAYS does a stellar job! You will find the third book gives you lots of answers to the questions you may have had in Book 1 & 2.
OKAY TO THE REASON I WROTE THIS REVIEW - In the epilogue I was going absolutely bat shit crazy trying to figure out where Darthajin (The Royal Heir) came into play with the Bathann. IT TOOK ME FOREVER. Do not fear! I found the relationship is with Honey Phillips other series called "Alien Abduction Series." Hope this helps other readers put the connection together MUCH quicker than me.

Having not read the previous books in this series I will be going back to find out Leviant’s brothers Altrez and Riker because this book was brilliant the main characters kept you on the edge the whole way through with there passion, desires all the while trying to find his bothers. Leviant is the mastermind of his two brothers and after they went missing he come to Folsom Prison to find them but what he never dreamed of was finding his mate a human no less that was given to him as a distraction so he won’t going looking into all the corruption going on in the prison. Sophia has lost everything even her now ex boyfriend/ boss who’s baby she is carrying and just to top it all off she is kidnapped and is now at Folsom Prison where the warden has just handed her over to this huge Alien Leivant to keep him busy while they try to hide what’s going on. But the biggest surprise is how sweet and tender he is with her and he tells her she is going with him when they all leave because she is his mate and he will protect her from everyone that wishes her harm. There is so much more to this book and my review has only just scratched the surface of how amazing this book truly is with corruption, deceit, betrayal, action, suspense, drama are all just a few things to expect in this book. Simply brilliant.

Another awesome winner !!!
As always ,I enjoyed this story of the three brothers from Folsum prison !!! Soooo looking forward to S'Quents story , and how the Warden and his lackey get what's coming to them !!!! And I also enjoyed reading about old friends , and IT made me want to go back and read their story !!!!
Sofie was , of course , abducted and ended up at Folsum prison, to be slave to the warden .
Leavent , the brother of Riker and Altrez, has come to their rescue, because that's what brothers do . On finding a defenceless human of all things, he knows that he can not leave her there !!! Slavery has been outlawed in the Empire, and as a member of the royal court, he is bound to uphold the laws . The warden will Suffer , but he will not allow the warden to get his hands on dear Sofie . So his plans have to change !!! And as Sofie and Levant get to know each other , and the questions surrounding the wardens activities, the story deepens, and we learn more about thus world !!!
This book was cute , and funny , and an awesome read that continues the Kaiskarians stories throughout the Empire !!! So looking forward to the next in this amazing series !!!

Leavent is the last and oldest brother who is heading to Folsom planet prison. He knows both his brothers are alive and being kept there and he will do whatever he must to free them. He's been trying to take care and keep his family together ever since his father's death. What he's not prepared for is the beautiful human woman being kept there as well. Because the emperor's mate is human it is forbidden to traffic human females if you are caught the punishment is severe. He will never leave her there with the sick twisted warden to be hurt or abused. Sophie, was abducted from Earth and landed as a slave at Fulsom planet prison. She wants to escape but doesn't know how it where she would go! Then she is given to Leavent he's red muscled an gorgeous. She doesn't know why but she's incredibly attracted to him and wants to go with him where ever he'll lead. While getting to know one another and falling in love they must thwart the evil intentions of the warden and his crew and find Leavent's brothers before the warden can hurt either of them. All I have to say is GO BIG BROTHER!!
Biggest complaint is that it was too easy a read, I finished it way too quickly!

Enter Big Brother - Leavent plays ball with the big boys in the political arena and uses his political pull to get him to the prison. Given a poor, sickly human as distraction he tries to figure out if the escaped prisoners were his brothers.
Between fighting both politically and physically, Leavent has a pregnant human on his hands that he's finding he can't live without.
Under the cloak of political machinations, he and Sophia find themselves crashed into the jungle where they find his brothers and their mates.
We don't get to find out what happens at the prison in this book, but we get the clue that S'quent is involved.

Great read! LOVE the dynamic between MCs!

It's the third (rather uptight) brother's turn to find his special someone and can say with a fair amount of certainty that he didn't expect to find her in a brutal prison. Leavent probably also didn't expect her to be human, but she is. She's also a tiny bit pregnant and hanging on by her fingernails.

Yay! We finally got to meet Leavent! Of course, Leavent meets, and claims, Sophie, the third human mate for the three brothers. What a relief that this third brother found a way to use his official position in the empire to visit Folsom rather than going in as a prisoner like his brothers! Leavent is a super alpha able to take charge and terrify the warden with his icy exterior. Poor Sophie needs his protection and strength as she is another abducted human without any defenses. Theirs was a softer story than the first two in this series, but equally as passionate. I really loved that signature “Honey Phillips” approach to made families! It was also satisfying to find out more about S’quent. Poor Riker! That man really knows how to make a first impression! I laughed so hard, I am glad I read this during the daytime, or I would have woken up my husband! What a great book, and an excellent series!

While there, he meets Sophie, a human who has been abducted after being dumped by her former lover/boss, and given to the warden. Sophie is pregnant. To protect her, because that is in Leavent’s nature, he takes her as his prize. He is an amazing male with a kind and generous heart.
Leavent likes to have everything in tight control, but he will walk away from all of it to help those he loves. As he and Sophie dig into the secrets, will he be able to save her and his brothers?
This book had great world building and wonderful characters. The interaction between them was at times very sweet and helped to build a strong relationship.

Alien Most Wanted: Mastermind is book three of the Folsom Prison Blues, it was my favorite because I love a grumpy, set in his ways hero that is knocked on his butt like Leavent was for human Sophie. Leavant is a wealthy politician coming into the prison to try to find his brothers when pregnant human Sophie is offered to him as a bribe.
Leavant is the perfect older brother that wants to control everything, falling for Sophie throws his whole life into chaos and I loved it. This book had the right amount of nasty villains, action and danger bangs. I loved how Leavnat accepted Sophie’s pregnancy and did everything to make stop vomiting. The ending with the flash forward of all the brothers was perfect and can’t wait for S’quent’s book.

Folsom Planet Blues Book 3 - Leavent & Sophie
I was so happy that the author wrote a wonderful story for Leavent & Sophie. This book was more like book one in the series. I did not like book two. Book three was enjoyable. I liked Leavent. He is an honorable, devoted, good man to his brothers, his mate & his career. He meets his forever mate in the sweet yet fiery Sophie who challenges him in great ways. Leavent & Sophie's story left me feeling happy.
I love that all three brothers met their fated mates in Folsom Planet Prison. I loved that we got to visit shortly with S'quent again & I can hardly wait to read his story next.

Leavent travels to the prison planet to find and save his brothers. He knows they are still alive because of the locater in his arm. Once he lands on the prison planet, a human female named Sophie is thrust into his room. He doesn't want to care or have feelings for the frail human but his body has other ideas. Since Sophie is pregnant and has morning sickness, she throws up on him but that still doesn't stop Leavent caring for Sophie. There's lots of action as Leavent looks for his brothers, is attacked by two aliens in the prison then he uses his flyer to continue the search. The flyer has been tampered with and crashes. The family reunion in the jungle is sweet and they all travel to their home planet to start their lives with their human mates.

But he ends up finding more in the form of Sophie, a human who has been offered up to him by the corrupt prison warden. Even though she seems to throw up on everyone she meets, Sophie's hiding the fact that she was pregnant when she was abducted by aliens and sent to Folsom. It doesn’t take long for Sophie and Leavent to fall for one another. There's plenty of action as Leavent searches for his brothers and tries to keep Sophie safe. HEA with no cliffhanger for MCs, though does have a lead-in for next book in series.

Can a book about alien abduction, female slaves, and a corrupt prison be considered cute? In this case yes. While the experiments and horribleness are alluded too; the sweet as pie romance between Sophie and Leavent is on full display. And because Leavent is always purposeful and in control, their relationship manages to move fast but not feel rushed.
I didn't read these in order which was fine story wise. But I am going back to book one now because I definitely want to read more about the brothers and their adventures/mates.

binged read all three of the books in this series this past weekend and loved them all. The prison planet trope is a favorite of mine. I also like a grumpy hero which is why I also liked Alien Most Wanted: Mastemind. Leavent wasn’t the grumpiest H but you could tell the weight of responsibility weighed on him. Sophie is a great character. Kind but pregnant by a jerk back on Earth, she's drawn to Leavent but afraid he won't want her because she's pregnant. I liked that each male had a very different personality. These are quick reads that include insta-attraction/ insta-love. Now I can’t wait for S’quent’s book!

I really liked this one. I love how in this series each of the brothers are so different in personality but all likable. Leavent is no exception, he seems to be the brother in control and with a plan all the time. Sophie too a bit for me to warm up to. I get that she was thrown into being a slave and pet (and worse) but sometimes her POV just made her seem weak. I was used to the others being so strong and Sophie was just...not. It was good she was paired with Leavent because he was great for her. Great series, can't wait for S’quent's story. . So yeah, I'm glad I read the last story of the brothers. I'm glad I did because it was the best of them all.
So Leavent is a smart cookie; he has a high governance job and position in society, he's a Lord and he's out to look for his brothers. When arriving at the prison, he gets a reward (Sophie) who he falls in love with. There's a catch, she's pregnant but it all works out beautifully.
They really have great chemistry and he is ooh, honey, he's hot! Hotttt.
What I really liked is the author telling us a bit about their future and it's splendid! Just what I hoped it would be.
(Looking forward to S'quent since he was mentioned here aswell, can't wait!)

The love of a brother is perfectly illustrated in Honey Philip’s new book Wanted Mastermind. I love this series…it’s a suspenseful thriller woven with hot, hot romance-its the perfect combination for a delightful decadent read. I do so enjoy how Philips leaves you a little nugget of want at the end of her books (Carnivorous vines bearing fruit?) NO SPOILERS HERE😊 I was appreciative of a heroine who is not a weeping violet. I also appreciate that Philips allows for diversity in her characters…this time a pregnant heroine from an ex boyfriend on Earth. EXCELLENT READ! Download and enjoy

Lord Leavant came to Folsom Prison responding to his brother's message for help. A female is pushed into his plush room as he waits to speak with the warden. Quite the introduction as she promptly throws up on him. Sophie is scared and pregnant and yet attracted to this alien. Working together they can achieve their goals. Great world building, plot twists, danger, discovery and great steamy scenes ensue. Honey does not disappoint with her imagination and character development. I'm looking forward to her next adventure.

First, I love Honey Phillips. Every single thing by her that I have read I've loved! Treasured by the Alien is my favorite SFR series ever. The Folsom Planet Blues series is coming close to replacing it. This book is the third in the series and oh my word is it good! The first two were great...this one is even better. The characters are outstanding! The world building is impeccable! The story is engrossing, grabbing you from the first word and not letting go! You just cannot go wrong with Honey Phillips. I highly recommend this book!

How can this one be my favorite now? Every time I read a book in this series, I think, this is it, this is my favorite one. Then the next one comes out, I devour it in one reading, and then it's my new favorite of the series. I love what MS Phillips did with the sickly redheaded human and the stuffy big brother. I'm dying to find out what's going on with the batman S'quent, but in the meantime, this story right here was delicious, lol, full of well-written scenes of one-upmanship, as well as detailed descriptions of the sexy kind. Read this, I swear you'll love it as much as I do!

Do not waste your money and time on this . This doesn`t even deserve 1 star it is 5star minus! Outrageous to charge for something like that ! Make a list and write down: Human female pregnant gets takes to a planet prison. She has no idea where she is and why. Get put with a guy that visits the prison. He looks like a devil. They love each other right away and take off together. That is it. Just like that. I have seen a lot of books that where bad, but this one tops all of them. I feel cheated for what I spend on buying it.
