నాకు జరిగిన విషయాలు, నేను చూసిన సంఘటనలే కాకుండా నేను విన్న, నాతో చెప్పుకున్న మనుషుల బాధలు కూడా ఇందులో కథలయ్యాయి. వాళ్ళందరూ ఇందులో పాత్రలయ్యారు. ఒక్కొక్క కథ రాస్తుంటే ఎప్పుడో పారేసుకోనొచ్చిన జీవితం కొంచెం కొంచెంగా దొరికినట్లనిపించింది. అంతలో కరోనా వల్ల నగరజీవితానికి తాత్కాలిక విరామం ఇవ్వాల్సి రావటంతో మా ఊరిలో ఉంటూ, ఇంట్లో వాళ్ళతో గడపటానికి ఎంతో సమయం దొరికింది. ఎన్నో కథలు తెలుసుకోవటానికి అవకాశం దొరికింది. వారమంతా పని చేసుకుంటూ, వారాంతాల్లో కథలు రాసి పత్రికలకి పంపేవాడిని. ఆలస్యమైనా రాసిన కథలన్నీ పత్రికల్లో వచ్చాయి. రాసుకుంటూ రాసుకుంటూ ఇన్ని కథలయ్యాయి. ఇందులో ఉన్న యాసంతా నేను వింటూ, మాట్లాడుతూ పెరిగిన యాస.
ఈ కథలన్నీ రాసుకున్నాక “వీటిలో మా యాసంతా భద్రంగా ఉంది కదా” అనే ఒక ఆలోచన చాలా హాయినిచ్చింది. ఇవన్నీ పుస్తకంగా వస్తూ ఉండటం ఇంకా ఎక్కువ హాయిగా, కొంత దిగులుగా (కారణం తెలియదు) ఉంది.
కథలన్నీ చేరాల్సిన చోటులకీ, చదవాల్సిన మనుషులకీ చేరతాయని ఆశిస్తూ....

Usually I am not a fan of short stories as I can't comprehend the characters througly and also I can usually read a small book in two or three days. But 'Gaajula Sanchi' made me rethink about my take on short stories and also I can't move to next story because I'm still processing the before stories and took me a while to complete the book. But I loved the book and it's narration a lot.

Especially some stories are so close to home like లాభమెంత నష్టమెంత? That same scenario happened in my house when I was a kid and it made me revisit my memories and also with the కోడి కొప్పెతింది, during sankranti we visit the cock fighting spurs every year and it's the only time when it's legal to conduct and can visit it openly.

The stories I liked the most are స్కూల్ ఫస్ట్ and కొత్త సైకిల్. They made me rethink about the privileges I have and also about the situations many are facing around us.

చిన్న కథలు, మంచి కథలు. చదివించే కథలు, హత్తుకునే కథలు.
తెలియని యాస. కానీ గౌస్‌వి కొన్ని కథలు ముందే చదవడం వలన యాస, గౌస్ పరిచయమైనారు.
చాలా రోజులనుండి చదువుదాం అనుకుంటూ వున్యా.. మొత్తానికి చదివేశా. సారిక నవ్వింది దీన్లో లేకపోవడం మాత్రం దారుణం😐
