The Lost Daughter of Angor #2

Trinity Returns: The Lost Daughter of Angor ~ Book 2

Rate this book
A lot can happen in 3 years – like the end of the world.

My name is Trinity Parks. On my 18th birthday, my powers emerged. They’re called virtues and I have many. I discovered I come from Angor: a mystical land where my father is King. I am next in line to rule, but my uncle Hyde and his rebels will do whatever it takes to steal the throne. Of course, that’s after he’s done ravaging Earth.

It’s now been 3 years since Hyde took my soulmate hostage, escaped to Earth then destroyed the portal so we couldn’t follow. While Angorian scientists searched for another portal, I’ve been training with the Royal Guard to strengthen my virtues.

The time to return to Earth is now. What will we find? Will my soulmate be alive? Will he still hate me?

One thing I do know: Hyde’s reign is coming to an end. He’s as good as dead. And I vow to be the one who deals the fatal blow.

Trinity Returns is the 2nd book in the Lost Daughter of Angor series. Inside, you’ll find diverse and LGBTQ characters, action, romance, and plenty of humor.

I. Love. This. Book.

I will be careful not to give away any spoilers! But the love story between Trinity and Julian is amazing. The evolution of their relationship and individual character development within the two books really showcases Myers amazing writing ability! I love the details the author put into the plot and characters! The way she wrote this story makes you feel like you are in the story with the characters! I also love her writing style, it flows nicely and does not feel juvenile. The writing style fits the age of the characters within the book. This comes from someone who read 200+ books a year, so when I tell you it’s an amazing book to read I mean it! Truly amazing read! Cannot wait to read more from Settle Myers!

(I receive a free advanced copy to read, and in exchange I am giving my honest opinion/review.)

Very much enjoyed this installment in the Lost Daughter of Angor Series!!

Myer really stepped it up in this second book. Trinity Returns picks up 3 years after the conclusion of Trinity Found. In this book, we get a chance to see the characters develop in a deeper way than in book one. In Trinity Found, we were learning along side Trinity in a fast paced chase, but in this book, there was more time spent getting to know the nuance of the characters motivations, which I really enjoyed.

I'm a fan of the fated mates trope in general, but I really appreciated the way this book forced some of the characters to address what happens if a fated mate isn't fated. Or moreover, had them question: is fated mates an equally genuine connection? Is it organic? Is it a choice? I feel like so often this trope ignores these questions.

Additionally, in this book there were so many heart warming and quotable moments -- like Reed talking to Trinity about what is greatness.

As started in book 1, Meyer continued to make a concerted effort to weave in representation, which I love to see!!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read book 3 and see what happens!

I did receive this book as an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review. And let me start off by saying, it was a great story. I loved all the relationships between the characters & the flash backs from the past. It really painted a picture as to what Myers was going for. I loved how Myers was also able to integrate such great images of diversity & sexuality with all her characters. This story brought you on a ride full of hope, love, & loss. It definitely left you wanting more. I cannot wait for the 3rd & final book & seeing where Myers takes Trinity & Team Trinity next!

I received an advanced reading copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. This book, while not the most poetic or epically written, is pure enjoyment. I was absolutely in love with all the characters. Meyers was meticulous to include lots of representation across sexuality and gender and race. The characters were fun and engaging, and I can’t wait for the next book.

Trinity the poor girl if you remember what happened at the end of book one you know she's been through a lot. You think it stipped there? No! Here she is again!
This story is a page-turner for sure. Come join Trinity again in Trinity Returns to find out what the future holds for her and her friends.

Good read

The heart strings have been pulled. Deaths, kidnappings, and other things. Gosh darn it having a good read and not wanting to go to the 3rd book for it to end but knowing you won't be satisfied until you know how it ends.

Life and death are the scales of life
