Cagney Wilkins Strange or not, I'm starting to fall for the invisible presence that follows me around, picking on me. He's funny, he's kind and he's protective. Every day I grow more and more attached. Even with the complication of him being invisible, things seem to just fit. When I start seeing a beautiful blond man around Terra Mortis, I'm devastated to realize I'm attracted to him. How can I be so drawn to two men, especially when it becomes clear that my invisible friend is my mate.
Guthrie Bourne
I'm beautiful. I'm not bragging. It's what I am. If my brother is to be believed, it's all that I am. The best part about being an elf for someone like me who hates being the center of attention is the ability to be invisible whenever I want. And I always want. The gargoyle Cagney intrigues me. I didn't set out to mislead him, but I don't want him to be like everyone else, so distracted by my looks, he doesn't see the person I am beneath it all. Unfortunately, staying invisible all the time takes a lot of energy and when I accidentally reveal myself a few times, I inadvertently hurt the man I'm falling hard for. Will he understand my reasons?
Warning: Mpreg elements! (Though the MCs in this book aren't and cannot get pregnant, this is a spin-off series from my Chosen series. Occasional Mpreg characters might have cameos. You've been warned!)
Also, my books have little to no angst, and lots and lots of fluff! They are better read in order, because I kind of write them like a continuation of a story, and I don't like to repeat explanations over and over if I can help it. No cheating, because that makes my heart hurt, and I try to avoid things that make me sad like I SHOULD be avoiding carbs. Sorry, I just don't want anyone being disappointed if they like the angst filled heart-rippers. These read more like a romantic comedy than a romantic drama.
This was a sweet addition to the series. Though, it's been a while since I read the other books so it took me a while to remember who everyone was and who they were mated to.
Loved, loved, loved Cagney and Guthrie! These two were so much fun and the whole mystery part of who was trying to kill him was great as well! The antics of some of the previous MCs were hilarious as well!
This whole series is impressively magical as well as enchanting. I was curious about Cagney's relationship with his sister since they play so ruthlessly with each other, wow. However, I was happy to see that Briec has an admirer, which I hope progresses throughout each addition of the series. Cagney and Guthrie (ghostly) were so cute together, and witty, especially when one of them was invisible throughout the beginning of the story. The characters were well conveyed, the romance was charming, and the plot held my attention. Excited to read the next book in this series (and the, Chosen,). =)
These two cracks me up so much! Cagney is such a good sport, especially since Guthrie picks on him so much! But when he sees Guthrie for the first time my heart breaks for him because he feels like he’s betraying Guthrie! I love how much they fall in love with each other because of who they are not how they look’ JD is so great & she does such amazing work! I’m so excited to read more of her work! 😀😀❤️❤️
This story was sweet and cute of course we find out a little more about Gunthrie . We also come a bit closer as to finding out who's responsible for the drugs. They introduced a new character in this book and look forward to them having a story .
I always love theses fluffy books from J. D. Light. They make me happy and this one was no different. It was cute and light with minimal angst. I can't wait for the next one.
My mind just kept picturing Cagney holding an invisible Ghostly and imagining someone walking in and seeing what appears to be only one person in the middle of a make-out session... just hilarious! *grin*
This was great I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with an invisible person in it before where they stayed invisible for kissing which the groups reaction was pretty hilarious and I loved the tricks they played especially the ones g played on Cagney
This one was really cute. I liked the idea of Guthrie being invisible and pulling little pranks on Cagney. And man I hope Laramy and Briec get a book lol
Cagney and Guthrie were such a sweet pair. I loved all the parts where G remained hidden, because they were so much sweeter. Can't wait to read Seeley's story!
I really enjoy this couple every time I read this one, especially in the beginning when Guthrie is still staying invisible and Cagney is falling in love with him anyway. And I love the simple but effective pranks that Guthrie pulls while being invisible, like bumping Cagney's arm when he's about to drink or eat so he looks stupid and spills water/food over himself.
