This SF novella by Tony B. Richards takes as its starting point the idea that alien occupants of a crashed spacecraft were recovered at Roswell, NM in the 1940s. The author then proceeds to craft a tale of contact between Private Malcolm Dow and a race of pacifist aliens who need the help of Earth to defend themselves against other alien agressors.
Along the way, this story also provides an illuminating perspective on issues such as bullying and racism.

Start of a 50s sci-fi story
It felt a lot like the early sci-fi I read as a kid in the 60s and 70s. Good clean story with no fantastical twists that younger these days where every story has to be bigger and scarier than the last. I did feel the general guessed too much without help from our hero though. Overall, good, clean fun.

Greatly surprised & delighted!
This is not " just" another Roswell book. Mr. Richard has given us a really likable young non-com to work with a military leader who also grasps the big picture with a warm hearted insightfulness that benefits all parties. Our aliens are not only colorful, but are sterling examples of morality and honor.

Alright!
Now that the enthralling teaser has drawn me into the story. When will my avid curiosity be sated? So looking forward to the continuation of the story. Great job!

great concept in the scifi genre, it worked as a opening to this series. I enjoyed how good Tony B. Richard wrote this and was engaged with the characters in this universe. It left me wanting to read more in this universe and from the author.

Exciting first book
Exciting first book! What would you do if you were the first person contacted by aliens? Would anyone believe you? Who could you trust? Malcolm has to figure all that out.

This wasn’t what I was expecting, It didn't really make sense and seemed disjointed. The dialog was not believable especially the conversations of the military. I was not impressed but gave three stars for effort.
