IT WAS ROCK, MEET HARD PLACE

The story is a second chance romance that takes place in Three Rivers, Oregon, where it is small-town living, everyone knows each other, and the gossip mill is constantly in the works. The story mainly focuses on Trask King and Terri Travers. from early on, these two were sweethearts, and everyone knew they were a couple--even engaged to be married. It was a shock to everyone when the night before Terri was to testify at the trial that would have saved Trask, she upped and left town with no explanation, so her return would come as a shock.

It has been ten long years that Trask has been in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Now, Terri is back to right the wrongs. She knows that she should have done this years ago, but she has her reasons for staying in hiding. Not everyone will understand--but the one person she hopes will forgive her is Trask.

"It's fine, Trask. I get it. There was a lot of stuff wrapped up in that encounter. Good, bad, and ugly. I get it."

The story's plot will have Terri coming back to Three Rivers--to see the present District Attorney and share the evidence that will exonerate Trask for the crime he was found guilty of and has been sitting in prison for the past ten years. His release isn't immediate, but it happens. Terri will return to Three Rivers on the day of his release--she needs to see him out and stops and offers him a ride. Needless to say, he isn't happy with her, but she didn't expect him to be. There are so many hidden secrets and reasons, and it takes time for the truth to be revealed. The one thing that never has changed, even with the angst and animosity between them, is the chemistry they shared.

The story is emotional and full of secrets that don't make their way to the light until near the end--this reader won't indulge--you need to read yourself. I love how no matter what has happened and how much time has passed, the emotional bond between the couple finds its way back. Trask and Terri had a DDlg relationship with power exchange, but can they have it again? Trask knows his babygirl blames herself and feels ashamed of how she left, how he ended up in prison, and he helps her forgive herself.

Trask: I don't want to let them win, babygirl. I want my life back.
Terri: Our lives have changed, Trask. We've changed. I really don't think it's that simple.
Trask: Think about it. We were good once. We could be good again.

Things that happened in the past should stay there, right? Terri left town years ago after an incident that put her boyfriend in prison and has never looked back. Now, reading the newspaper from her town, she sees a story that will have her returning to town. There is a whole lot going on in this story and wanting to find out exactly what happened to the kids kept me reading. Trask has been in prison and is confused about being suddenly released. When he sees Terri again, he's not happy but it's time to get the whole story. From my understanding, some of this story is from personal experience in the author's past and that just made this so much more intriguing! Watching how Trask and Terri slowly start working on mending their relationship, it became clear that there were things going on in that town that none of them knew that night so long ago. And when it all comes to light, I wasn't expecting that at all. Total surprise!!! There's danger, mystery, intrigue and a story that will keep you invested.

When the past comes back alive, Terri knows she must return home to Three Rivers and make things right. After 10 years, Trask was finally free. Heading to his grandfather’s old place in the woods, he’s picked up by Terri the last person he ever wanted to see or so he thought.

Former fiancée’s they have been apart for 10 years. Trask doesn’t know why she disappeared but wants to know. Their flame may be alive again, but the past isn’t dead. When digging into the past threatens their future, will they be able to gain closure and keep each other?

The story keeps you wondering what will happen next.

I loved this book. It is intense, with twists and turns. Full of regret and hope.
The story is full of depth and captured my heart.
When Terri returns to Three Rivers after a decade in hiding, she does so with the hope of clearing Trasks name. Little do they realise how deep the pain lies.
Trask and Terri are both grieving for time lost. Trying to get there lives back on track, whilst not dwellings on how they have survived the last decade.
I loved these characters and the story held me captive.
I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book about Terri and Trask. Trask was sent to jail for a crime that he didn’t commit, and the only witness was his girlfriend Terri, but she suddenly disappeared with no trace. It’s now 10 years later, and she has returned because the threat that was keeping her away was no longer around. This story was really deep and full of angst, drama and hot, steamy moments between the two main characters. They are able to work through, the tragedy of their past and go on for a happily ever after.

I am voluntarily leaving my review for this book and this is my honest and fair opinion.

After meeting Wilson and Kilches in the last book, you can’t believe that Trask could be guilty. I really wanted to know what Terri was up to and why she abandoned him when he needed her most. This story had more twists and turns than a racetrack. You have no idea who to trust, but you know that no one is safe. This couple is awesome with great supporting characters to make the story really good. Loved it!.

I loved this story by Rayanna Jamison. I loved seeing Terri and Trask get a second chance. An event in the past forced Terri to make a difficult choice in a terrible situation which led Trask to being placed in jail. Years later, she finally is able to make it right. Trask has been freed and needs to figure out things. He is surprised to see Terri but he can’t stop old feelings coming up. Will they be able to work things out to find happiness once again?

This is the 2nd book in the Three Rivers series and this is Trask and Terri’s story. They were soul mates until it went pear shaped and she was blackmailed in to leaving town. As a result Trask was jailed for 10yrs, for a crime he didn't commit. Terri had evidence of his innocence, but she'd been keeping it to herself to protect him and his family! Now she’s back and the truth will rock this small town! Read how this eventuated. Terrific read.

Having read book 1 and being underwhelmed, it was with mixed feelings that I started this story. Happy to say, though, that I enjoyed this book much more. I liked the dramatic storyline and the relationship history between Trask and Terri. I loved that not everything smalltown is good and that looks can be deceptive - even if it's the look of a town. I loved that while it's obvious from the start that something was very rotten in Three Rivers, that it's not revealed until almost the end just what the whole rot is. Great read that had me gripped from the start.

I can be extremely harsh when it comes to 2nd chance romances but this story hit everything that I do love about 2nd chance romance. I loved the characters and how they were able to move past the depth of the pain in which the past had brought and the misunderstandings. I tender standings. I really enjoyed the way the story flowed and as far as 2nd chance romances go this is one of my top 5 I have ever read.

Nail Biting book

This is not your typical Daddy/little book.
Nothing can compare to what you are about to read.
I could not stop reading this book until I finished it.
What everyone went through because of corruption is truly heartbreaking and astonishing.
As soon as I finished this book I dove into the next one.
You will not be disappointed when you read this book and series.

Having read ‘Her Old Fashioned Oregon Daddy’ first, I did know some of the outcomes but I was so glad I read this book to find out about Terri and Trask. Trask is such a forgiving man, I am not sure many who spend ten years in prison would be as sweet and kind. That Terri and Trask get back together is remarkable and their supportive families are heartwarming. This is really more of a mystery than a dd/lg story but it is so enjoyable even if you were expecting a daddy romance.

This was an interesting tale that wasn't quite what I was expecting, but that by no means made it any less good. Seeing how unhappy they were to start with, how he really did not want anything to do with her, was sad, but given what he had been through... But she did not have an easy time of it either, which she eventually admitted, and from there, things just got better for them. So glad to see that so many of those who did them wrong got what was coming to them.

Talk about edge of your seat, twist outta left field!!!!

Trask and Terri, these two go threw hell and back!

Trask has been in jail for 10yrs, for a crime he didn't commit. Terri had evidence of his innocence, but she'd been keeping it to herself.

When the story unfolds about this crime and what they both have gone through....BLOW AWAY!!!

Thankfully there is a happy ending and the hint of another book in this series.

Wow I loved reading this fascinating story as Trask and Terri reconnect after a incident in their past where problems were multiplied and got out of hand. They struggle to overcome their shared past amid danger, mystery, intrigue, regret and many twists and turns. A well written story that is well worth getting to read. This is my honest opinion.

Trask and Terri definitely both deserved their second chance. I liked them both and thought they were characters I wanted to know about. I liked that this also had secrets and suspense to go with them getting their second chance.

Terri and Trask

This is a very good, well written, Daddy Dom romance. The characters are likable and interesting. Terri returns to her hometown of Three Rivers when she thinks it safe. Trask is released after 10 years when Terri provides his alibi. Read and see how they are able to get back together.

I've been wondering since the last book in this series how the author would redeem Terri who betrayed Trask and left him to jail for years. She did a good job of explaining the treachery and you have to remember these characters were kids when all this went down. I loved how Trask was open to hearing her, but also giving her what she needed to feel forgiven. Great story and HEA.

Back Woods Daddy is the second book in the Three Rivers series, but could be read as a stand alone. Once upon a time, Terri and Trask had their future ahead of them, together. Then one night sent Trask to jail and Terri disappeared. Years later, Terri can finally tell her story, Trask is released, and they can have the future they’ve always wanted. But as danger stalks their every move, will corruption tear them apart again, permanently?

This was a great read that had me desperate to know what would happen next, both with Terri and Trask and with the whole situation! If you read the first book in the series, you get to know a little bit about the characters, but this book helps answer a lot of questions. Terri just wanted things to be normal, wanted her relationship with Trask to be what it used to be, but there were so many secrets and circumstances that just kept getting in between them. I loved that she just wanted to keep Trask safe, and that her love for him never wavered. Trask had a lot of complicated emotions he needed to work through, not only when it came to Terri, but when it came to what he wanted out of life. Their connection was so strong, I felt like I was flipping pages just to see what would happen between them next! But I also loved that there was some major drama and events going on in the background of this book that had me on the edge of my seat. I really liked this book! I do look forward to the next one in the series!

I liked this book. I really loved the main couple, Terri and Trask. Even though they have been apart for ten years when they reunite you can feel the love and connection the two still have for one another. They decide to rekindle their daddy & babygirl relationship they had before their world got turned upside down. The mystery at the center of the book kept me engaged through the whole story. Book ends in a HEA (at the end when Terri kept getting nausea I thought there was going to be a pregnancy announcement 😔).

I loved this story. It's unexpected, with twists and turns. Well worth reading. All the characters are real and rounded. I enjoyed the relationship between Trask and Terri. This is a quick read because it is a very full story. I did not read the first book in this series but I will look out for the next one. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I highly recommend it. This is an enjoyable and entertaining story.

Trask & Terri

This story had more depth to it than the first one. There was so much more to the story than just Trask and Terri reuniting with each other again.
