THIS ENDS ON A DAMN CLIFFHANGER!
While I knew, in hindsight, that this is the debut volume in a series, I didn't expect to be gut-punched when the last page was flipped. I found myself emotionally involved in the progression of the MC's relationship. Never did I expect for a declaration of love to not be meant in the conventional way.
The art style showcases the artist's talent beautifully. The genre is strictly YA. Don't go in with the expectation of a fast-growing couple. Or any heat or steam for that matter. Treat this part like a gradual build-up.
There is much to be said about the secondary characters as well. They held their own while supporting the story. I simply loved, in the end, when author shared her initial drawings of the MCs and how it grew from there.

‘Tis the season for cute, sapphic, romances - and the first book in the Whisper Me A Love Song series is certainly that! I can already tell this is going to be a complicated and emotional one, as the two main characters Himari and Yori experience “love at first sight” for one another. But my stomach dropped, as Himari isn’t quite sure if this is the same “type” of love she is feeling for Yori. One thing is certain, that Yori absolutely idolises Himari. She needs to ask herself what “love” really means to her?

Christ, the ending of this volume really does feel like a gut-punch, and I’m intrigued to see where this story goes.

A cute shoujo-ai manga about a freshmen girl who falls in love with a senpai who was in the band that played during the freshman welcome. But is it love? Or is it something else? I did love that Yori-senpai also fell head over heels with her cute little kouhai and was dedicated to spending time with her and winning her over. I had my suspicions on Kino's confession/her idea of the love, but I was still hoping for something else to happen. I won't say anything else, but yeah, I was saddened. But I loved both characters, bouncy Kino with her big sparkly smile and prince-like and cool Yori. Their date was just adorable and I do hope more comes from it. *crosses fingers* The art? Gorgeous! Both the characters are captured so well.
Also loved the omake, though OH MY at that last one.

Es war ganz süß und das Ende war interessant , aber es war mir ein bisschen zu viel Insta-Love. Dadurch ging irgendwie die ganze Chemie zwischen den beiden verloren.

Yori fand ich als Charakter interessant, wirklich viel erfährt man aber nicht über sie. Himari hat leider nicht wirklich einen Charakter außer süß zu sein. Gegen Ende wurde es aber besser , deswegen werden ich vermutlich weiterlesen.

Insgesamt aber eher einer der schwächeren Yuri Manga die ich gelesen habe :/

Utterly delightful!



This was just so cute, it had those Given, Vol. 1 vibes mixed with Kase-san and Morning Glories & K-ON! vol. 01 with the music, queerness and female friendships. It was just all around a great story and I am very interested in picking up the second volume. I love a sweet yuri that isn't too intense sometimes and this one definitely delivered the saccharine.

Also, the art is spectacular so...

Cute sapphic manga. At times, I had to stretch my suspension of disbelief, but it was fun to see the dramatic high school manga tropes with a saphic twist.

It’s been years since I’ve read any yuri manga but I was drawn by the lovely art in the cover and man, I was not disappointed at all. I mean, yes, it can be cheesy at a times but that’s what I wanted to read right now.

Whisper me a love song basically tells us the story of two girls who fall in love the moment they see each other. Himari sees Yori-senpai sing live and she instantly falls in love with her voice.

Blunt (and cute) as she is, she confesses to Yori, and fortunately she likes her back. We see how their friends tease them and how they deal with this sudden crush on each other. I’m sure you can find this story in any RomCom, but I found it quite entertaining if I’m being honest. The art style is really cute and I do want to see what happens in the next volume!

Btw, I loved that Yori-senpai is a cat-lover too!

Yet another one that my partner pushed my way. Yet again, it was fine... cute art, "decent but not compelling" story. This volume didn't pick up until the very end, when it's shown that the two characters' understanding of what "being in love with someone" means are very much at variance with each other. I hope that they are honest with each other rather than this becoming an ongoing cycle of misunderstanding and pain.

Szczerze mówiąc, spodziewałam się czegoś innego - uroczej, fluffy historii.
Jednak dodatkowy chaos okazał się całkiem przyjemny w odbiorze.
Super się bawiłam, jednak strasznie irytowała mnie jedna rzecz. Sposób używania słowa "kocham" przez Himari.
Mówi Yori, że się zakochała i chciałaby z nią chodzić, a potem jest zszokowana, że ta odebrała to jako wyznanie miłości?
Wspaniała reprezentacja wlw situation/reltionship trauma.

the anime style was very good as well, it did feel abit on the long side but that might have been because it was an e-version and i'm not used to it.

Le plot est non plus incroyable mais c'était beaucoup trop adorable, c'est léger et mignon, les personnages sont trop mims. J'ai hâte de pouvoir lire la suite. J'espère quand même que le plot deviendra plus profond par la suite mais je mets quand même 5 étoiles parce que j'ai passé un trop bon moment à lire un truc aussi mims.

To było tak bardzo urocze! Wspaniałe rysunki i strasznie podobał mi się pomysł na samą historię.

Jednak nie wiem, czy będę kontynuować. Jestem trochę ciekawa co będzie dalej, ale mam wrażenie, że jak dla mnie to było aż za urocze i słodkie i też ta "miłość" rzucana na prawo i lewo to przesada.
