USA Today and NY Times bestselling author Candice Gilmer leads a dangerous double life as a mommy and a writer. In between boo-boo healing and fixing broken toys, she writes stories usually to the tune of children's television shows.

Growing up in the Midwest, Candice stays close to her family, especially the ones with basements when the tornadoes come around.

All in all, she stays very busy, but really, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Well, maybe a little less children's television.

Ok-reading

Alien need de Candice Gilmer serie Most Wanted Alien Brides Kantenans libro 1

Argumento:

Candice keeps you coming back for more!
From her imaginative settings, relatable characters and her steamy spicy scenes, you can't put her books down.
The Kantenan race is a dying one, in danger of becoming too alike and possibly all related at some point.
an aspiring kantenan scientist wants to bring some diversity back into the gene pool by bringing mates in from the galactic dating agency. The rulers of his planet sound agreeable but are wary of change (aren't all governments like that?)
His social experiment is about to really take off until tragedy strikes, but only after he meets the possible love of his life. Now he has to protect his love, his experiment, his planet and the rest of the guests from the agency, on top of trying to find out the truth. That's a lot to handle even for a hunky extraterrestrial prince.

Khalzin (a Kantenan) is a sort of scientist. He’s trying to find away to keep his people from being wiped out. He will use the Galactic Alliance Alien Mating Program.
Janae (part Terran and part Nevillian humanoid) was excited to go to the Kantenan World. She was living on the streets (a Less) at Trinity Alpha Prime. She was surprised when Khalzin chose her as his mate. Janae just thought she was just a filler “to make the pretty ones look good”.
As Khalzin and Janae get to know each other better through their courtship, there’s more explosions and more danger.
Khalzin and Janae need to stop whoever is sabotaging the experiment.
Can’t wait for Alien Wanted Most Wanted Brides: Kantenan Book 2

What a fun read!

I needed a fun, fast read and this fit the bill. We have humanoid aliens from various planets in need of wives to help improve the genome. (Inbreeding can be a bugger.) But as in all societies, some people can't stand change. Traditions are sacred. And the scientist who joins the Galactic Alliance for this purpose finds himself not only heading the study, but participating.

I definitely will be reading the next book in the series, because the characters are interesting and relatable. Yes, aliens can be related to - what are we but a bunch of humans from different societies and beliefs who are trying to live on this planet in harmony. As in our current environment, harmony in this book is not always easy.

Solution Or Problem?
A well-known problem for humanity and apparently also for aliens: how to deal with (necessary ?) change. In this case, even the leaders of the Kantenan society don’t know how to deal with it. Which means that the ordered test case is met with sabotage, origin unknown. Until the last pages and they make the end into a cliffhanger. A problem in itself, as this book was written in 2022 and the next one is not in sight (yet ?).
A disappointment for me, because the story is thrilling and engaging and I would definitely like to know what happens next. So please, CG, continue!

Khalzin is a scientist trying to find a way to keep his species from dying out. Using the Mating Program, he picks Janae, someone who never thought she would have a mate. The closer they get, the more they connect. But there is danger and someone sabotaging his work.

I loved the plot and having the scientist and his experiment aspect. Khalzin and Janae have an unconventional romance, but it was still fun to read nonetheless. My only issue with the book was that it ended too quickly. It felt like part of the story wasn't added, so I'm hoping the next book will pick this up.

What a fantastic start to a new series!

Candice Gilmer has created another fascinating world and diverse cast of characters for me to love and hate.

From the start, everything the main characters expect to happen is immediately tossed out the window as they both find themselves in an almost completely unexpected situation.

Will they find out how deep the chaor runs? I can't wait for the rest of this series to see how everything turns out.

Love the whole alien trope.
It's a sweet love story of a girl who grew up in the streets finds shelter on a ship for women who want a mate and get picked.
They have an instant connection and have to conquer lots of attacks.
I wish the story was longer, because dying to know what will happen in the future with them.
Can't wait to read the stories of the other 3 guys and their possible mates.

There is so much of this story left to read, it ended way too soon, with far too many dangling threads. Great story, and interesting plot and characters, but now I have to wait for the next’s book in the series

Science vs Insta-attraction

For readers who like the premise of fated relationships, yet don't want things to go TOO smoothly! The storyline keeps you on your toes, with a twist at the end!

story was ok

The story was ok, but the writing felt a little bit stilted to me. The characters never seemed to be fully developed, so it was hard to form much attachment to them.
