Fiona invites Tilly over to her bar to see the renovations she has planned. They go into the kitchen and find Holly, the health inspector dead after being conked on the head with a bag of frozen ravioli. Unfortunately, Fiona is on the suspect list because it is known that Holly had been harassing Fiona with nuisance infractions. Tilly knows her friend would not harm a soul and sets out to prove it. There is the additional problem of the burglaries plaguing the businesses in Belle Harbor. Tilly wants to know who is behind them so they can be stopped. Mousse and Mayhem by Sue Hollowell is the eleventh A Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery. I was able to read it as a standalone, but I missed the backstory on the characters. I believe it would have been better if I had read the earlier books in the series. Mousse and Mayhem is a lighthearted cozy mystery. I enjoyed the descriptions of the charming Belle Harbor. It sounds like a lovely town to work and live in. There is humor scattered throughout the story which I enjoyed. The mystery was straightforward. I liked that Tilly asked questions and looked for clues. When Tilly came up with the solution it seemed so sudden. Of course, that can happen when you suddenly realize one detail is important. I enjoyed the reveal of the guilty party. The story is short in length which makes it a quick read. There were tantalizing descriptions of the items Tilly creates in her bakery. I could tell that Tilly loves her uncle. She wanted to make sure his wedding to Linda is perfect. Mousse and Mayhem is a sweet cozy mystery with a bevy of baked goods, an exterminated health inspector, bewildering burglaries, gambling goals, wedding worries, and a steadfast friend who is determined to sleuth.

Who are Fiona and Tilly? How do they know one another? What does each do for a living? Where do they live? Who is Linda and what is her job? Who is Holly, what does she do for a living, and how to Tilly and Fiona know her? Oh, what is going on with business burglaries and who is behind it was not what I expected!!! Who is killed, by whom, and why? Who is Bronwyn? What information does she spill? What happens to Fiona? You have to read to see!! I need to go back and read the first 10 books of this series. I enjoyed reading this story. It was light, even with the murder and mystery of the burglaries.

This is book 11 in one of my favorite series! Based in a small quaint beach town where Tillie owns a bakery and her Unkie has an antique business. The town has been suffering a run of burglaries where the thief steals a few items and leaves a big mess! It comes to a head when Fiona discovers an annoying health inspector dead in her storeroom after a quick visit to Tillie. As she has had a number of run-ins with the inspector, she is the number one suspect. Another couple of mysteries for Tillie to solve, while putting finishing touches on Linda and Unkie’s wedding. This series is such an enjoyable read, partly due to the well-developed and likable characters! I’m on the author’s ARC team and write this review voluntarily.

Another amazing and fun episode in a series that is very enjoyable to read! The characters become friends and are real people with real personalities. In this book, Tilly is tasked with giving Uncle Jack and Linda the best wedding she can. When her best friend, Fiona, comes to her bakery excited for Tilly to come see what her new renovations in her own store will be like, they discover the dead body of the nasty and rude health inspector in Fiona's storeroom. Hit in the head by frozen ravioli. Add to that and we find most of the town's businesses have been robbed. And Fiona's is suspect number one in the health inspector's death. Tilly is on the case! Putting her intuition and uncovering clue ability, she is bound and determined to find the real murderer, free Fiona and figure out the burglaries since her store was finally hit too. Could it all be connected? How and why? At the same time, she does not want to take away from making sure Unkie and Linda have the best wedding possible. This is a fun series with relatable characters and I can't wait to see what will happen next. And with all this going on, she of course has the support of her boyfriend and although she really does love him, has ambivalent feelings of getting married herself. This series is one of the most fun series to read and I highly recommend it! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Fiona is excited to show Tilly the plans for her renovations and expansions. When they arrive at the bar from the bakery they find it empty and with a most unwelcome surprise in the form of a dead health inspector. Fiona tops the list of suspects as Holly the inspector had been targeting her with a bunch of nuisance infractions. Adding to the stress is a rash of small time burglaries targeting the businesses of Belle Harbor. Tilly goes into sleuth mode as her worry for her bff is in overdrive.
Part of a series but holds up pretty well as a stand alone. I liked the concept but for me the resolution came out of left field. There was the drive to help her friend, to ask questions, gather data and try and see a pattern. There’s the crime, the accusations and then boom out of nowhere Tilly has an answer. It was a bit abrupt for me. I don’t mind the surprise of not knowing who the culprit it but I felt when reading this there could’ve been a little less woe is me I need to find a pattern and a little more insight to the thought process that led to the big reveal.
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review and opinion.

As Tilly is preparing for Jack and Linda’s wedding, the businesses are bulgarized and one person ends up dead. The thief either takes items or makes a mess in the store. Tension mounts with the towns people and Tilly feel she needs to help solve the crime since one of her friends is a suspect. As Tilly puts the pieces to the puzzle together, will she solve the case before the wedding occurs and her friend ends up in jail? This was such a delight to read. The narrative is well-written and the characters are wonderful. They have become like family. I loved the plot and the setting; makes you feel as if you are living there and they are your friends. The mystery pulls you in and keeps you guessing. If you haven’t read this series yet, I highly recommend it.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

When Fiona is accused of murdering the Health Department Inspector, Tilly needs to help her bestie by finding the real culprit. Can she do it? With her logical mind I was sure she could. She thinks that the continuing thefts from the local businesses is part of the same case. I like Tilly! She's a great friend, but she has a lot on her plate. There is Unkie and Linda's wedding. It has to be perfect. I love visiting Belle Harbor and seeing all the town's folks. I'm glad that Tilly's romance with Justin is getting serious. He's such a rock. I know that he cares for Tilly. Sue Hollowell has written a fast paced cozy mystery. I was entertained by Mousse and Msyhem. I'm ready for more of Tilly's adventures.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.

Nice cozy mystery
Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2022
This was my first time reading a cozy mystery by the author Sue Hollowell. I was pleasantly surprised. Even though this was the 11th book in the series I didn’t feel as if I had to read the prior books in order to keep up. Tilly owns a bakery in Belle Harbor. She’s planning a wedding for her favorite uncle. There are two mysteries going on simultaneously. Someone is burglarizing the businesses in Belle Harbor and the health inspector is murdered with a frozen bag of ravioli. Tilly’s best friend Fiona is the number one suspect in the murder. I thoroughly enjoyed the book so much that I will go back and read the rest of the series. I received an ARC of the book and my review is totally voluntary.

This was the second book in this series that I have read and felt warmly welcomed back to Belle Harbor. It was a quick read for this cozy mystery novella.
Tilly puts her sleuthing skills to work once again when there are burglaries at local businesses and the local health inspector Holly is found dead at Tilly’s best friend’s Fiona’s restaurant.
Love is also in the air as Tilly prepares to help her beloved Uncle Jack and bride to be Linda with their wedding.
It was refreshing to see that Tilly’s strong bond of friendship with Fiona encouraged her to find the real killer among potential suspects.
A wonderful cast of characters adds to the story. Come visit Belle Harbor. You’ll be glad you did!

This is my first cozy mystery I have read from this author, Sue Hollowell, and now I have to go back and start from the beginning. I am looking forward to reading more from this series.

The characters are so vibrant, fun, serious, and the MC Tilly is definitely a friend I'd want on my side when murder and mayhem break loose.

This was a fun read as Tilly had to save her best friend, Fiona from taking the rap for a murder. But did Fiona commit it or did someone else? Only one way to find out. Gran a copy and read it yourself.

I am an ARC reader and was granted to read it first for an honest review. I look forward to when this book goes live.

Belle Harbor is having a rash of thefts. Almost every store has been robbed. Nothing big is taken, but the town is up in arms. Fiona is planning to add to her restaurant and wants Tilly to see the plans. Upon arrival, Fiona goes in the back to get the plans and finds Holly, the health inspector dead on the floor. The town suspects Fiona and Tilly starts to investigate both the killing and the thefts. Uncle Jack and Linda's wedding is in a week and Tilly wants everything settled before then. Can she find out who the thief is and the thief responsible for the killing as well.

I am volunteeringly reviewing this book after receiving it free from the author.

Local businesses in Belle Harbor have been besieged by break-ins and robberies, including, Tillie's bakery. However, the thefts become the least of the town's problems when another murder occurs. Even though she's busy putting the finishing touches on her Uncle and Linda's wedding, when she finds out that her bestie, Fiona, is at the top of the suspect list, Tillie makes finding the culprit her number one priority. I love all of the characters as well as the small, beach town of Belle Harbor. I highly recommend this series, starting with book one, Cupcakes and Catastrophe. Happy Reading!

I received an ARC from the author but this review is my honest opinion.

easy read

I enjoyed the plot and characters in this book. Trouble is, too many details are left out. One paragraph has Tilly sleepy from a bad night, then she’s suddenly holding Justin’s hand, and I had no idea who Justin is. Fiona disappeared, then Tilly is running towards her. Additionally, there’s just too much that’s unrealistic. Why would Justin and Tilly be finalizing wedding plans rather than the couple to be married? What man ever would pretend to be proposing then get ideas about his own marriage at a wedding? Like I said, it’s a pleasant story, but I felt like I was reading a middle schooler’s writing.

I love this series. I like how she involves all of the characters in the series at some point in each book. This one really made me sift through and think constantly about, okay what was said and done and who really did it and why. Can't wait to see who she adds as help to the bakery since her Uncle got married. Was surprised when she put in the love interest that didn't turn out to be the owner of Mocha Joe's. I always thought Justin and Fiona would be together. This books, as with all of the others in the series are easy to read, suspenseful and funny.

Linda and Unkie are getting married in one week and Tilly is in charge of the wedding plans. Unfortunately, the wedding plans are overshadowed by a string of break-ins at every store in town and, now, the murder of the health inspector in her best friend Fiona's bar. Things get very personal when Fiona is the prime murder suspect and she's determined to get to the bottom of this before the wedding. I love the descriptions of Belle Harbor and getting to know all the special people there. It's a place I'd love to visit. Perfect read for a lazy day!

Mousse and Mayhem (A Belle Harbor Cozy Mystery Book 11), my fifty-third enjoyable short (104-page) read from author Sue Hollowell that I finished in about 90-minutes. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book am reading it & voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with Dasher Dachshund Drama (North Star Paws Mysteries Book 2) next on my TBR list. Tracy arrives at the flower shop she runs with her Aunt Rose. She finds a bouquet from her boyfriend Warren which really makes her day. Later, they go out for dinner & chaos ensues. The circus is in town & soon a fight occurs between several different people. Warren & the townspeople dread when the circus comes because it causes trouble for everyone. In the end, almost everything gets back to normal except for a huge surprise from someone who has made a big decision. Great short read!

This edition of the Belle Harbor series drew me in much quicker than the previous editions and packed not one but two mysteries in this bite sized cozy. Tilly has her hands full trying to exonerate her friend Fiona from the latest murder of the food inspector, the rash of robberies hitting all the businesses, and getting ready for Unkie's wedding.

In Clue style, who killed the health inspector in the storage area with a frozen ravioli?

Tilly and Fiona are best friends and business owners on the boardwalk of their picturesque seaside town. When Fiona is accused of a crime she didn't commit, Tilly is on the case. She's determined to find out who is robbing all the shops on the boardwalk. You will fall in love with these characters. This is a very sweet mystery that really draws you in and keeps you guessing.

Owning and running Luna’s Bakery and Café keeps Tilly happily busy. Asked to plan her favorite uncle’s wedding on top of the bakery keep her even busier. When her best friend is arrested for a murder, she did not commit, Tilly now has an investigation to clear her friend’s name to keep her occupied also. This is an engaging and entertaining series that I am thoroughly enjoying. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

It was just about time for Unkie and Linda's wedding...but first a murder and some burglaries tossed in to keep Tilly juggling those plates. This was another case she was ultra-invested in since her pal Fiona was the main suspect. It wasn't too hard to figure out whodunit but the fun part was watching Tilly in sleuthing action and enlisting another business in town to help catch the perp. Finally, the wedding could take place in peace! I'll be borrowing the next book soon!

Tilly is trying to run her shop when the health inspector dies from blunt force trauma in her shop. Now she's trying to prove not only that she didn't do it, but who did? She needs to get this all wrapped up so she has time to plan her favourite Uncle's wedding. There are also a lot of burgleries in her town, is it the same person as the murderer or someone different?

Cute cozy with interesting characters. I enjoyed Tilly's Uncle and the town itself.

This was another great book in the series. Tilly finds herself working to save Fiona, solve the burglaries at local businesses and put the finishing touches on Uncle Jack and Linda’s wedding. I her pen way Tilly finds the answers everyone has been looking for by realizing the break-ins and the murder were connected.

This cosy is part of a series, but works as a stand alone. I really enjoy the cosy mystery genre especially when much of life is so stressful. Yes, there is a murder, and Tillie’s friend is a suspect, but there is nothing terrifying or gory, with pleasant characters and seaside setting, enough mystery to keep me guessing. Thank you for sharing this ARC that I am voluntarily reviewing.

Definitely a fun read. The plot slips around several characters, entertaining. Surprise twists to the investigation of the murder, surprising murder weapon. Trying to get answers while also planning a wedding, trying to run a bakery and help keep a friend out of jail. Lots to elements to follow. Loved it!

Running a bakery, helping plan a wedding, and figuring out who the early morning robber is not enough but trying to solve who committed a murder at her friend's restaurant/bar. Tilly manages to balance all this with her problem solving and her notebook. Great reading can hardly wait for the next book in the series

This is the 11th in the series. The main character is Tilly. There are a series of robberies going around the business area and Tilly is sure she'll be next. But then there is a murder thrown in at her friends bar. Tilly is sure the two things are related but can she prove it. She keeps asking questions but isn't sure where they are leading her, YET ! Will she figure this out ?
