Agents of the inscrutable AI ALEPH rush to discover the identity and motives of the attacker, but the tangled labyrinth of Nomad society confounds them at every turn. only the best men and women of the Nations can untie this bloody knot. Unfortunately, they’re busy. A tired, dirty little band of petty criminals is all that stands between the Motherships and disaster. I liked this book, and recommend it to people interested in the Infinity setting. It's a solid genre book that covers the more cyberpunky side of Infinity as a first of its kind. But if you read a few cyberpunk novels and know a bit about the infinity setting, you won't find much groundshakingly fresh stuff here.

The writing is comprehensible and draws a clear picture of the characters, the setting, the action and the plot. The narrative flows along nicely and had enough pull to draw me in and keep me entertained.

The story: Well, if you like Shadowrun novels, then this novel about a group of run down Shadowrunners grey market freelancers getting into trouble is probably right up your alley.

The characters are distinct and easy to tell apart, though somewhat one-dimensional. I really enjoyed the depiction of the AI characters. Character development is uneven and quite predictable.

The worldbuilding is handled well. The workings of the world are laid out in a way that's easy to understand, the different locations each have their distinct feel. Generally the setting details are handled unobtrusively and do not get in the way of the story and overall entertainment.

So if you are curious about the world of Infinity, or looking for an entertaining Shadowrun-style romp, then this book is probably for you.

I didn’t expect to enjoy Peace in the Human Sphere as much as I did! The story drops you right into the chaos of the Human Sphere, and the tension never lets up. The political intrigue between Yu Jing, the Nomad Nations, and ALEPH felt so real that I could almost feel the weight of every decision. I loved how the author gave life to the “petty criminals” who end up being the unlikely heroes their banter and flaws made them feel human and relatable. Even if you’re not familiar with the Infinity universe, the book does a great job pulling you in.
