Finding Closure is a book of poetry, prose, and quotes walking you through two perspectives of one relationship. This collection is separated into two chapters, Her and Him , where readers will follow the woman's and man’s point of view from the beginning to the end of a toxic relationship.
As both chapters are created by me, these poems are inspired by personal experiences and the various perspectives of the men and women in my life. I wanted to create a story to show what many of us can experience in relationships. I have written this book to show the love, vulnerability, and heartbreak on both sides - and the similarities and differences in how they are expressed. I hope you read this and learn that getting closure can be a long journey of growth and healing.
5 🌟 I'm not much of a poetry reader however this book was so beautifully written. This is the second book I read of Jessica's and I enjoyed it thoroughly. A beautiful story told from both points of view. A story about love, heartbreak, healing and first experiences. It was a pleasant read.
This is the first time I’ve ever posted a review, but I loved this book. What I loved was how accurate it was in showing how unhealthy relationships felt from both sides. It was even more amazing to know the author, Jessica Burgos, published this book at only 20 years old!! I gave this book four stars because I wanted it to last longer. It was a short, but beautiful read. Truly loved this book!
This book spoke to me in a lot of ways. The feeling of falling out of love with someone and feeling so lost and empty without them when they weren’t fulfilling you in the first place. Beautifully written and depicted 5 stars
I liked the book overall! Some poems really hit home, constructed of clever lines and beautiful rhyming schemes. The concept was interesting too. However, some other poems to me felt a little easy, almost page-filler like. Much respect for Jessica though, I think you have a bright career ahead of you!
It’s not the best poetry book but it did help me to find closure. Maybe because it’s written on both perspectives (hers and his) and sometimes I forget there’s a different side of every story.
very powerful book, very easy to read! i love poems, & definitely shows what to do better in relationships & why little things are important in life ❤️ very worth reading!
