Centuries have passed in a way that we reached a level where technology is the prime factor in the world. Normal things which we see today may go beyond holding advanced technology in the future. Zachery Whitsel's 'The Prism' talks about how technology can affect people's lives. Planned to test the new government program couples, Beta and Blair entered into the virtual and augmented reality technology. But soon they realized that they are engulfed in a dangerous zone where the gateway is not as easy. What started for safety had ended up with chaos. This curiosity at the beginning takes the story up and gives a twisted lead.

This book is a very novel experience to my reading library. Even though there are many techno fictions, this one is outstanding because it explicates a thinking over how a change can be a curse or blessing or can be both at the same time.

The Prism, a fascinating fiction piece by Zachery Whitsel, is intriguing from the start, and it remains to the last page! It is about a government experiment in which they study the impact and the way to change wars in order to help people. Nowadays a pandemic, probably intentionally released, hits our life and it makes this book especially interesting and captivating. Perhaps that's why it is so believable.
The characters are expertly developed and very realistic because in this case they are not super heroes; they are usually scared to death about everything. This made me felt really deeply entrenched in the story; I thought I was right there with the characters. And many times, my heart was in my throat and pounding away!
Without any doubt, it is a superb book. I will now read anything I see by this author.

Quin has been selected to participate in the first wave of The Prism, a government’s experiment to decrease the cost of war. Excitedly, he shares this news to his fiancé Blair, who is also going to be part of this thrilling adventure. Yet, little do they know how dangerous and risky their future will be. Futuristic and exciting, the Prism is a must-read novel that has kept me captivated from the beginning. It’s written by Whitsel Zachery who is a fan of videogames and has used all his knowledge of technology to create a high-tech world where virtual and augmented reality technology exist. The details and descriptions that made up this absorbing and thrilling plot are definitely worth reading.

“The Prism” is an excellent novel. I enjoyed this futuristic book a lot. It narrates how a couple is chosen to try an experimental program that was created with the objective of transforming wars by the use of technology related to virtual and augmented reality. The aim of this revolutionary idea is to save lives. They believe that they are doing something good for humanity and that they will get an important part in history after the good results are obtained. They are not aware of the fact that this experiment has some dangerous parts. Very dangerous!
As I was reading the novel, I could feel immersed in the plot. I perceived the anxiety and nervousness of the protagonists. I strongly recommend it to all science fiction lovers.

Enticing and engaging
I found the title of this book really intriguing, that´s why I decided to give it a chance. “The Prism” is a truly short and engaging novel. Zachery Whitsel has come up with an original idea about a program that might suit the government´s needs, or maybe not. The idea of programming something that might help to avoid wars is interesting but at the same time, it might turn out to be dangerous.
While I was reading, I felt really nervous about the situation and the problems that might arise after the creation of the program and the way the protagonists managed to save themselves.
It is a suspense novel with many turns and twists. I liked the author's writing style due to his simplicity and clarity. I definitely recommend it!

Great read!

This book is such an interesting piece of work!
Tying together technology and fiction, author Zachery Whitsel has created a capturing and detailed book that will capture anyone who reads it.
This book is a great example of how technology can be manipulated for either the best of things or the complete opposite causing the world to slowly crumble.
The way the author has written the book will have the reader, as it did with me, on the edge of their seat just waiting to flip through the pages to find out what happens in the story.
Highly recommend and I also recommend reading it a second time just so you can spot extra details you might have missed the first time around!

An absorbing short fiction

Zachery Whitsel is the writer of this fascinating fiction called “The Prism”.

Whitsel creates the story of some citizens that are part of a technology project impulsed by the government. Little did the characters - and little did I - know that their lives were going to change forever.

I was surprisingly carried out by this short piece of literature. It was so captivating that I wanted to keep on reading it. In fact, I did read the story for a second time and I discovered wonderful details.

I give this piece five stars because it convinced me and I recommend it because I was completely trapped while reading it.

Prism is a program developed by the Government to carry out a virtual war, apparently to save lives. This program has chosen Quin, a young guy, and his girlfriend Blair, who will discover a huge threat.
This book reminds me at some point of The Matrix; because I believe that it is oriented to achieve awareness in humanity. In my opinion, the wealth of the plot is that it represents a mental puzzle to solve. That is why I would recommend it to amateurs of Science Fiction and futurist stories. I like to think about this kind of story as a cold war plot. There is a big intrigue in every dialogue and the narrative turns are surprising. So, reading this book means getting on a roller coaster.

Great trans representation! A great story with unexpected twists and the end will make you grab all the tissues.

I was on the edge of your seat when I read about the implants inserted and operating, it felt so real. I squirmed!

It was a nice read, but it's too short

I was surprised and confused by the ending, but then realised what happened.

I've heard about this book in the Toni and Ryan podcast and I'm happy to have read a story by a fellow TARPer.
