Asim Nour is the type of man who appreciates life and all that it has to offer. He’s been in the streets for years and is now realizing the benefit of building his legal status as well. Both worlds keep him busy and his pockets full. As much as he appreciates his status, the women appreciate it more.
Kyori Spencer is the type of woman who takes full advance of all that life has to offer. Even if it’s not by way of her own bank account. It just so happens that the man she committed herself to, has loosely committed himself to several other women. When is enough, enough? Kyori soon finds herself fed up and on the verge of catching an assault charge until the extremely handsome and very assertive Asim Nour steps in for the save.
Amir Nour has resigned to living life to the fullest and with the status he’s built working alongside his big brother, Asim, that’s an easy task. However, a chance encounter with a beautiful woman intrigues him enough to wonder if it’s time to end his playboy ways.
Lear’ah Marshall just can’t catch a break. After losing her sister, she’s struggling to find a reason to live and not just sit home alone watching life pass her by. That within itself is a challenge considering her current living situation. After paying for college she’s stuck with the roommate from hell whose boyfriend is anything but respectful. Lear’ah is fed up but financially strapped. Will a gorgeous stranger be able to present a reason for her to smile or will Lear’ah decide that he’s just not worth the trouble?
Welcome to the what happens when chance encounters turn into the possibility of happiness, if only the ladies can find a way to let go of the past and embrace the future.
Just my type! I love to take a break from contemporary romance for Urban romance and this book didn’t disappoint. I really loved this cast of characters and I can’t wait to read book 2 both Asim and Amir are definitely bae. Really enjoyed this one.
What happens when a group of men from the streets fall for regular ladies? Chaos and lots of love vibes, is a mere fraction of the circumstances they'll have to deal with. An urban romance with a gentle twist.
This book was so good. I love how Asim saw Kyori, wanted her and got her. He was too smooth and I was here for it. I hope Amir can fix things with Lear, I love them together. It’s about to get real in part 2.
I enjoyed this book but I’m hit or miss on both narrators.
SIDENOTE (aka “Don’t come for my stars!”): Just a quick heads-up my ratings are based on whether I’d reread the book or add it to my personal collection, not the quality of the story itself. So here’s how I roll:
5 🤩 = I’m obsessed with everything the storyline, the author, and the narrators! I read it yearly and own ALL the copies: physical, digital, and Audible. I can basically recite this book. It lives in my private library. 4 🌟 = Loved the story, the author, and the narrator (if it’s audio). I’d happily reread it when I need a solid comfort read. 3 ✨ = Enjoyed the story, the author, and definitely the narrators. A great addition to my yearly reading challenge likely to revisit if it’s part of a series I need to refresh.
This was a good, not say a great story...definitely not what I expected but for an intro it was great. Kyori, a good spoil know what she wants girl, intelligent, strong and independent came out swinging after her fantasy world got messed up. Leah'Ra, an educated strong, option aged and a very emotional young lady who because of tragedy got stuck living life regardless. Asim and Amir, brothers, best friends, loyals and trustworthy complement each other as brothers. Asim is definitely the Alpha dog with a temper to match. Patience is his virtue and he works, breathe and lives as such, where as Amir is the epitome Beta, a fire cracker and a go to now, actions now, and consequences be damn or at least later. What made this story nice and all that jazz was the simplicity yet the mysterious side of all parties, male parties. Everyone knew they were into something, but no one could point it out unless your enemy was doing it. When they found their better half or soul mate, they moved everything to give them them in a whole but with still some discrepancies which made them humans. Mistakes were made but it was so real that you could actually relate with them. Everybody from Mayno, Steph, Mo'nique, Nook were dealt with in a mature way and let's see if they understood the concept of letting it go because Karma will be there waiting for them.
I love a story where a love interest sees the person and goes after what they want with the purest intent. Asim does just that and was all in not even knowing a thing about Kyori. When the 1st sight of her would probably not be the story you tell people it was great to see. Same thing goes for Amir and Lear’ah. How ever how do two brothers find their people at the same time and move with such intention. Both men lived two lives and balanced them with ease. Amir seems more interested in the street side of things by the way he is described. Lear’ah life was in limbo but I liked her for him. Kyori was a great fit for Asim and showed he was nothing like her ex and deserved so much better. Showing the women and life style and bonding with the other ladies along with family on all sides. If you want a man that can give you the world all while still supporting you wanting your own and being your own person is much respect. This is eatting me how this is going to play out with the exes on all sides.
Soooo good grief of gravy!! Amir really got some splainin' to do hopefully Learah will listen she seems like she is ready to tag his head and move around and not even deal with Mir. Asim and Ky wellll I think Asim should just tell.here about Brielle versus her finding out about it. She may not be as forgiving either way rather. I like them together I don't think he will let go of her either. Whew Chile you gotta drop 2 cause I will take reading breaks while I am working from home quarantined!!
I didn’t expect anything less, this book had me from the first page i couldn’t put it down. I love me some Asim and Amir them brothers are something else. They really just put their selves in people lives. I wonder who shot Amir like that. I like Lear’ah for Amir. Kyori is my girl, she plays no games and when she find out about Asim and Brielle it’s going to be bad i hope that Asim tells her first.
When loving the wrong man leads you to the potential real one it might just be fate. Ky is determined to go off on her sneaky ex's fling until she's held up by sex Asim the sexy street boss. It all starts to play out good with the three couples until a targeted shooting set up a chain reaction of events that may leave one of the couples at a breakup. Good storyline.
Asim and Amir have done complete one eighties with the new women in their lives. Meeting Kyori was a wonderful thing for Asim as well as well as meeting him was for her. They changed one another's lives for the better. Amir met Lear'ah while she was in distress and instantly decided she would be his. Hopefully he won't lose her behind his foolish mistake. Can't wait to read book two.
The perfect love story. These two brothers (players, hoes,) have truly found some women who have turned their worlds upside down. Another great read!!!
Man she always comes through with that heat! These brothers I don't know which one is bae! I'm leaning towards Sim there's something about that man. Mir ain't nothing nice to play with either. These women are definitely giving them a run for their money that's for sure. I can't wait for part 2
I didn’t expect anything less than amazing. I so love Asim and Amir and their new relationships. Lear’ah better hear Amir out, they are good together. I’m glad Ky gave Asim a chance. I wish he would’ve s told her about his dealings with her new employer but we’ll see how that plays out. Can’t wait for part two 🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾
This book was so lit. I'm glad both girls found a real one. Amir and Asim both needed women who wasn't with them for their money so they could both stop being hoes. I can't believe cap hoes ass you gotta have the next man fight your battles and.Amir should've told her the truth hopefully he doesn't lose her. Cap really just messed up war time baby lets go
I immediately fell in love with Asim and Amir. Asim had this laid back charm, while Amir was the sexy bad boy. Kyoto and Lear....eh! Not sure how I feel about them. They are giving off annoying vibes. While I like this authors books, I feel like she's written too many to still be having grammatical issues. I'm like come on...
I enjoyed this book. The beginnings of Asim & Kyori and Amir & Lear’ah started off with strong emotions. Anger from betrayal and grief from the loss of a sister. Asim and Amir are both no nonsense and take charge. It does end in a cliffhanger.
K. Charelle comes through with another hit. I love Asim and Kyori's relationship. These book baes aren't shy about their feelings for the women they love. I'm waiting impatiently for part 2.
From reading the first page, I was in love and couldn’t put the story down. I love the characters, plots, and story line. I couldn’t wait to see what happens next !
Aww I'm so sad to see that to be cont sign, I was enjoying this book so much I couldn't put it down, I love the characters the brother and there friend is epic, and so are there woman I can wait to read part two. Great book!!!
I can't wait for part two to drop to see if Leah is going to dump my boy. I hope she doesn't and forgives him. I wished Asim would have told Ky about him and ole girl so, that she could have made a choice if she wanted to pursue her job with her.
As always our girl did her thing! I love that her books are always different and I really fell in love with the characters this book is a must read. ALL HER BOOKS IS A MUST READ!
You have a 2 bc this story didn't need a part 2. It is barely developed as is. The whole guy doesn't like females just uses for sex then one out of the blue he meets a chick and she is the one storyline is redundant. I have been a fan but there is no growth as a writer.
Your books are so good. I am loving the Nour brothers. Asim and Amir always have each others back no matter what. The women in their lives Kyori and Lear'ah are the ones making them want to be in a relationship. Hurry up with pt 2.
Babbbbyy listen here I need book 2 like yesterday!! This book was every freaking thing!! I loveeee the guys but huni Amir is Bae alllll day long!! I hope they can all this drama and keep the ladies... Whew! Great job!!
I read this book when it first came out, not sure why I hadn't reviewed it. This author is one of the best out there so I am not surprised this is another good read! I had to do a recap because book 2 is out! You have to read this! Happy reading 😊
Awww man I love how Amir Is trying to change his ways I can tell he cares for Lear. Asim is a mess it's his way or no way . Cant wait to see what happens in part 2.
I really enjoyed this book was truly good and I got a note book bae Mr heavy himself yes he is the man and the boss with Procter right on his side for what ever. Shai was a good look for heavy and posh was just plain dumb, Zoe was good for Pprcter, next job.😉
You never disappoint. I've been reading your books from the beginning, I don't even need to read the synopsis anymore. I just see a release and download. About start part 2 to see how the couples make out!
