Jasmine White’s life was wonderful up until the day her parents died protecting her and her best friend from rouges. Her alpha lowered her status to the runt of the pack, forcing her to live alone by the same woods her parents were killed.
Soon tragedy strikes after she finds that she is mated to the Alphas son Oliver. After a rejection, he caused injuries not only emotionally but physically as well.
It is said however, that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure but what happens when Oliver doesn't plan on letting her go?
Not to mention the prophecy that has been surrounding Jasmine since the day she was born.
Dont presume this book is like the rest. Just when you think your about to guess what happens, you will get the shock of your life each time!
Enemies lurk from in and out. Danger seems to creep on every corner. Will she overcome and accept her fate? I guess you will have to just read to find out.

If this book was editor or even proof read, I' d like to know who did it. If I ran the department they would be fired. The author who wrote this should go back to school and learn how to spell. I tried to read this book and got so irritated, misspellings, and wrong names , not to mention she wrote the wrong names so many times it gave me a headache just trying to keep up. I loved the storyline, but I only got not even half way before I gave up,because I had to double back and do corrections. I hate that. I wish people would just do their jobs.
Unfortunately the potential of this book was lost amongst the lack of editing/proof reading and ridiculous amounts of spelling errors, incorrect phrases, names and word usages. Your and you're are very different. If you can say "you are" instead then the shortened version is you're!! This is just one of so so many mistakes that meant the whole book was difficult to read. The author has a good plot idea and some of the characters are great . It just shouldn't have been released until the errors were fixed.
I am very happy I gave this story a chance. Once I read the note from the author of the story "having lots of surprising twists" I instantly became leary. So many authors start out with that idea, but, ultimately, the story becomes so twisted that it doesn't make much sense by the end of the book. Thankfully, that did not happen with this story. A great display of creativity, talent, and delightful planning of the plot goal! Thank you, Cortney Tolliver, for a work very well done. 😃
This is the first book i have read by courtney. The supernatural is not normally a genre i read. This story flows well, i liked the pov of all the characters, although they did jump around alot towards the end. You develop a real feeling of emotion from the characters all the way through the book, the drama, povs, and twists in the plot kept me reading and wanting more. I look forward to the next book.
This is a no from me. I can take grammar errors or typos but the characters get mixed up. A side character gets killed during trial with the king present. First off, stop the trial! Second the very next chapter the lead male is saying how said it is that his QUEEN just got killed. Not impressed with the plot holes either especially as I only got 1/5 of the way though the book!
Poorly edited, many errors and the smut is so poorly written it's just cringe to read - It. Is. So. BAD!!! I had to skip it, because it was so irritating to read 'baby' every other paragraph, everytime the character speaks. The story is the same cookie cutter, abused, becomes uber powerful white wolf, mated to king blah blah... The second-hand embarrassment I get from reading this laughable, immature, poorly written smut make it a Do Not Finish for me.
I enjoyed the story so I finished it, I’ll probably even slog through the second book after a break, but the editing is awful. Missing words, wrong words, plurals that make no sense, and articles that are incorrect so characters are talking to themselves sometimes instead of the other person. It’s messy, but the premise is great. Hire a real editor and proofreader and this would be a 5 star read.
Random characters are introduced throughout the story. There is no hint or subtlety to the evil mates character it’s just a confusing flip flop. Way too Many meaningless flashbacks and retelling from a different perspective. I skipped so many pages because it was just not interesting in a lot of places.
not what I expected but I really enjoyed this book.
The editing is awful but if ignore that, this was a really good book and not your typical werewolf sorry. Angels and demons, witches and werewolves all come together in a story more about good versus evil. Looking forward to reading the next book.
The plot was great, as were the characters. But, it reads like teenage fan fiction, so many spelling mistakes & name mix ups it was hard to follow in many places. Fingers crossed this improves in the coming books.
It started out really good. I didn’t enjoy the last half quite as much. There are quite a few errors in grammar and spelling and several instances where the wrong name is used which got confusing at times.
I tried. I got to 22% and stopped. There are errors that I could get past, but the writing is very immature. The story line was promising but poorly executed. There were multiple character POV, that were unnecessary and odd.
I enjoyed this book with layers upon layers yet easy to read and follow the twisting plot. Now on to book 2. Also, I will read the Black Alder series. This is my 1st book by C.T., her writing style and story building was GREAT. Great PNL Read...
Great storyline with characters developing at the right timeline. With regards to storyline there are so many twists and turns that one minute your crying next laughing and then angry. Excellent read highly recommend
